Well, all of this fandom would agree with you that ponies aren't sexually attractive... Which is one reason why I suggest to stay ONLY at this fandom. I must say though, JJ, LivingMachine02, and Slugbox make VERY good humanizations.

There was no question in this topic, There was a loaded opinion and then a statement based on personal morals that then were enforced upon others.

As I personally do not find ponies sexy I agree that they are not sexy in a sense that I would find them arousing.

But the existence of people who find ponies sexy proved that a human being is capable of treating these ponies in sexual context, therefore in objective sense and in accordance of REAL world ponies, even if not if not outright sexy, possess qualities that enable and capacitate sexualization.

 

There have been few good replies thankfully to this subject, thanks to Thereisnospoon303 Whose objective approach at least gave me some hope for this fandom not being filled with teenage moral officers enforcing their own hitch ups to other people.

 

This thread is both judgemental and offensive to those who have the mental capacity to feel such sexual attraction to ponies and even if I am not one of them I sure as hell have no HATE or disapproval towards them, they are people just like us, they harm no one else or even themselves with their attraction to cartoon ponies, and if you worry about the "face of the fandom" then you are more stupid than I feared. This fandom already is criminalized and judged, and even if we were all saints and Jesues saving the starving and healing the sick with pure power of love we would be judged because we like ponies. Just like you judge people who might find ponies arousing only because you think it is a-ok to be a judgemental ass and criminalize individuals on the basis of their taste and things they like.

 

Only behavior that outright brings harm to other people like pedophilia, via creating demand for child pornography and subjecting real children for that or things like religious dogmas, that cause depression and suffering to individuals via group behavior are true moral wrongs.

Attraction for fictional characters and preference to CARTOON porn is a victimless and harmless past time, it can not, and should not be criminalized since that would rob people a freedom, freedom to do something that hurts no-one except maybe the sensibilities of small minded bigots.

If we draw the line to cartoon porn, which is ten times as innocent and harmess as ANY real form of porn, we should already go on outright all out war towards real porn.

 

Get off your high horse and let people enjoy things they enjoy without bringing harm to anyone. If only people would fap to ponies rather than porn or instead of going out to purchase sexual services we'd have less problems by default as all the pimps, sex slave circles and child sex slavery all would go out of business.

These people who find ponies arousing are people, likely good people, who also are bronies, and go by love and tolerance, and like ponies, not only, or even because of their "ponyness" but because of their admirable character qualities that they have developed affection to, and this if anything is more "tolerable" form of porn than outright sexual objectification of sentient individuals.

I feel the only thing "sexy" about them would be their realistic personalities/attitudes. I could see Twilight being the "hot librarian" type, or Rarity being the saucy Covergirl mascot if they were actual humans. Other than that, eh. They're freakin' adorable, and I definitely wouldn't turn down snuggling one of them in bed, but I wouldn't be sexually attracted to them the same way I am with a female human.

To me, no, and no human in his/her right mind should think they are sexually attractive. However, I must state that male ponies may find their female counterparts to be as the are of the same being. Thus, ponies are, and yet are not, sexy.

Pencils, you should totally do rants; that was amazing. Back to the topic though, I completely agree with you. Just look at cartoons like Looney Toons with Lola Bunny. Now, honestly, I'm pretty sure at least 90% of everyone here has had some sort of crush/lust for that character back in the day. She had all the attractive qualities of a woman, but in the form of a rabbit. The same can be applied to ponies.

I guess I've found most of the characters "cute" (or, at least, stylistic) at some point, not in a way that arouses me. Several reasons, most of which are because the show is too innocent for that! I don't really like humanized versions or that kind of fan art either, because it seems too different from the character they are supposed to be based on.

And no I don't think any less of people that do.

 

I can understand the appeal, given their personalities and the style (large eyes, humanly-expressive faces). I admit I can see some of their poses as potentially attractive.
