Weirdly enough, for a person who doesn’t like passive entertainment, I’d rather watch something than read it Lul. I tend to read too fast and stuff isn’t always explicit, although it would be in manga.

I prefer the manga if it’s the original.

Unlike all the well done feature film and animation adaptations of comic books and novels, anime usually suffers from its chronic case of dragging out sequences due to budget limitations and the amount of time they have to just pass by to fulfill the episode’s quota.

And in many cases of manga based anime, they usually focus on frame to frame reconstruction of the source material instead of finding out what’s the best for the medium based on the director’s vision.

It takes 20 minutes to tell the exact same story of a 5 minute manga chapter, and I see it as a problem. Also, just like many novel adaptations, anime almost can’t succeed what the manga did to the reader’s mind because many of the scenes are played out more perfectly and fluently inside the reader’s head. (A rare case is One-Punch Man season 1’s visuals and that’s why it was so special and popular)

Mangas usually have more details and full story. Buuut, I better sit, relax and watch anime rather than read manga (especially when I have to read unusually from right to left)

I'm not good at reading and manga's are mostly in english-- so it's harder to follow than Anime for me.

Manga overall but it got expensive buying those. Anime is what I mostly do nowadays because it’s more cost efficient. I also don’t have the space for the books and I don’t like reading them on tablets/computer. I also can’t stare at a screen that long to read them digitally due to how it bothers my eyes.

Both manga and anime have their own benefits. I personally can enjoy both of them.

For a specific series which offers both it still can happen that I prefer one over the other. For example if an anime is put full of uninteresting filler parts then it could easily happen that I just consume the manga.

I can generally focus on manga better than anime so I suppose manga. I have quite the collection of it now, too.
