Any tips before i start? What part do i start with? Im thinking ill start with personality and traits first. 20 minutes per trait ok?

Gonna come up with about 30 traits.

Anypony tell me which steps i should take after personality?

Ok never mind that, how did you start off making your tulpa? Like did you tell it it was fun and then you explained what fun was and you did that for every trait?

Well it all depended on the trait but I tried to elaborate on these for every trait:

• How it fits in their logic system
• It's Morality
• Perception
• Rationalization
• Likes / dislikes
• How it interprets the emotion
• Quirks it may have

Stuff like that. I really couldn't do that for all of them though.

So you just told them in your mind the trait and then explained to them the things you mentioned?

Umm...alright.

 

One of Kay's traits is curious / being curious. I just kind of explained what it was to be curious and how it translated into their thoughts and actions. There was probably alot more but I'm not thinking too straight right now.

It's different for everyone but, one thing I guess I noticed was that there is a pressure that forms somewhere in your head. It feels different from a headache...like, there is pressure but no pain.

 

Another thing could be some weird feelings in your mind that feel alien to you.

While Dante already started communicating with me into less than five hours of forcing(although I have a small theory on why this happened so fast, but that's a different topic), be noted that some it takes longer, some it takes less. Just keep your hoped up and stay positive.

I have seen your thread on tulpa.info Dante also dislikes the prism I am starting to think that I shouldnt try the prism at all since many tulpae get pissed XD

But yea I know FAQ didnt talk for like 74 hours or something if I remember correctly It's not like I am not positive or I dont have high hopes heck I talk to her every moment I have something meamingful to say XD I am just inmpatient But yea to be honest I didn't initaly expect much in three hours then I read a ton of progress reports saying that the tulpa talked in 6-7 hours in and I am like

Also if i added confidence to the list if she saw herself in the show would she still have issues?

Wait, this isn't something ponies can just do naturally? Odd. I have always had this ability. I think it, I see it. If what I've created mentally is actually one of the tulpa things, I apparently make a very large amount of them.

My first hour in, i do have this weird feeling where my head and neck meet up, like within my head in the back of it. But that might be because of my tired neck. Im not sure.

Also when you are explaining the traits to them is it ok if you repeat alot? like say i told rainbowdash that she is comforting and then tell her what she does thats comforting and i repeat that for around 15 minutes and maybe put in some scenarios is that good or bad? Im not sure if i can explain it more to her.

im starting to fell a real connection... like something is watching over me.. like im talking to someone within my head. This is amazing, im afraid to change my clothes before bed because i fell like im being watched 0.0

By "very large", do you mean 10+? Because I find that very hard to believe - there's no way you can go around with 10 sentient beings accompanying you, mentally or not, and never mentioning it to anyone.

So I think I got a reaction right now. I dont know I was doing some personality and around 25 minutes in when explaining a trait she stood from the bed and took a pendant I left in a nighstand then went back to sleep again. I was sue I did it myself cause I wanted so mcuh to see a reaction so I kind deleted the scene but she did it again. I rewinded again tried concetrating on not doing it but she did again anyway. I am still not sure if it's real or me tricking myself cause of wanting it too much but damn I am so excited right now

 

I stopped the session cause of that excitment and told her I wlill be back later

10 is really all people can do? If you count my most at any one time, it's probably close to 30. If you could the ones I've made total, that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 or so (Though that is a pretty lowball guess).

 

Honestly, I didn't know this was supposed to be a difficult thing to achieve. It's always come so naturally to me. I think of something, and it appears as a fully visible mental image. Each being is different, most can't agree half the time, and they are perfectly sentient. I've been doing this at night for the past 13 or so years. Again, I was not aware this required effort. I always thought it was just a matter of "Think, and it appears". Currently, the number floats at 5. It WAS 6, but I couldn't stand how much of an idiot one of them kept on being. I have what can very loosely be called a fanfiction detailing only about 10 of them.

 

But, really, I'm still so baffled and bamboozled as to how ponies need so much effort to make these. Scores of hours of meditation, extensive preparation, and not to mention the toll it seems to take mentally. I simply do not understand that part of it. For me, it's a split second and I've got a brand new sentient being. Despite the number of named beings being in the hundreds and hundreds, they all have completely distinct personalities. And yes, I name all of them.

 

A similar process is used to mentally simulate an immersive 3 dimensional world around me that is composed of whatever I please. Any object can be added in without any effort. Physics systems are fully simulated as well. It never seemed really hard to me, and it never took any sort of mental toll on me. Again, I had always thought everyone could do this naturally.

To be honest I am not sure If I believe it but then again bragging about having something like that isn't exactly logicals eitherI mean as someoen said in a thread there something along the lines of Playing cool by sayinng how many imagineriy friends you have aren't exactly logical so I don't see why someone would do it.

Just because they are created in seconds does not mean they develop in seconds. Maturity is not a matter of the state of birth. It took many years for some of the relationships to blossom into their fullest, when some developed quicker. Over the course of my more recent ones, some had incredibly complex and developed personalities. They experience many emotions, and often were brought to crossroads and states of many conflicting emotions. I watched many of them live and die, and each of their stories is deep and meaningful.

 

I in no way handle them carelessly. I treat each and every one of them with kindness, love, compassion, mercy, and occasionally I have my spats with them, but it'd be so boring if they were always perfect. I can't even make a decent summarized description of some of my recent ones because of how much they grew and developed. The only way I've ever been able to describe even the smallest morsel of what they are was with a nearly 100 page story. And that STILL barely scratches the depth of what they were.

 

You want to talk about long? One took 11 years, and I became closer to them than any friend or peer I had in my real life. You want to talk personal? I married one, and it took them simply FOREVER to convince me, or for me to even make a move (And they dropped very strong hints). You want to talk intimate? I slept with one of them! (Don't ask me how that works).

 

You also don't realize just how much of my life these people were. I have NEVER had friends. These "tulpas" (Really hate how that sounds) were the best friends I ever had, and they were the only ones! I never have been a social person around regular people, but around these "tulpas" were the only people I could be myself with. They accepted me for who I was, and I could have, for a measly two hours a day, a brimming social attitude. I could open up to them, and I could talk to them for as long as I could be awake for.

 

Two hours per night, every night, for 13 years... That is my second life. And it is a hell of a lot more genuine than this fake sham of a life I have, where I have to change everything about who I am just so people won't make me a complete pariah and cast me out of society. This life at night... It's all the socialization I can have outside of here that is REAL and meaningful. So don't you dare make it look like I don't care about them. I've watched births, deaths, and have gone through pain and torment for them.

 

Other people can't do this so easily because it's not how their brain naturally works. For some reason, I feel this is how my brain was made to work. I can't develop relationships with normal humans, so I had to make people that I could be more open with and that would be accepting. I don't force them to like or respect me, my actions gained their respect.

My sister will be coming to visit soon, and then I might have problems working on my tulpa. Which means I might end up having to start on Mintpaste all over again, but likely not. I just wish I could acknowledge what I want it to look like.

And yes, I do call my tulpa an "it" instead of a "he" or "she", because for some reason I can't decide if it should be a boy or girl. If I decide it's a boy tulpa for some reason, I erase the name Mintpaste and put in Splitglue.
