Sometimes there isn’t a clear reason to things like that but if you go and dig into your past a bit, you may find at least some small answers.

Feeling dark because it is dark outside. Just like math, multiply with a value and you become less or equal to that value. I am multiplied by darkness.

Warm, after freezing my  butt off doing a > 2 and a quarter hours 120 miles motorbike ride, last part in the dark and rain (temps around 40 Fahrenheit, into s northerly wind gusting 25 mph so maybe wind chill down to 30's).  But I had an electrically heated vest – needed it too ...
