Pastel clapped, wonder in her eyes as she watched Samurai move. Just like that the arcade was a dance club. Definitely had a homey touch to this place. The performance suited his personality to a T. Now she couldn't wait to get up there herself~

Pastel shook out of her stupor. Looks like she and Dynamo were next! But, first...

Pastel ran over to Pencil real quick and gave her leg a hug. She felt bad about getting lost in the moment earlier and wandering off after the first game. She was self aware sometimes... Only sometimes.

"I'll play you more as soon as I'm done here, okay? I've been summoned~ don't think you'll get the best of me though, hehe."

Pastel winked at Pencil, posing as if she were some idol before running back to Dynamo, this time she taking his hoof. Someone got bold... well, more than usual.

"Hehehe, shall we~?"

Dynamo smiled as he was happy that Pastel, as well as the others were having fun in the arcade. It was the meaning in having fun at the arcade was how he learned to be himself, while learning from his old mentor. He was caught off guard as Pastel ran back to take his hoof in her own. "Indeed we shall. Looks like someone is eager to dance, huh?" He chuckled, walking alongside Pastel as they took the dancing stage once more. "So, what do you say, Pastel-chan? Still up for the butterfly song, or want to go with a song that I have in mind?" He would ask as he began searching for the intended songs.

"I think I'll trust your intuition~ hit me! Uhh, with the song I mean, don't actually hit me."

She giggled as she stood on the 2P dance pad, swaying her tail. Looks like she was ready to get into the zone again.

"Thank you and I'm glad that you trust me. Now, I wouldn't never hit you or anyone else. I can't, nor would I ever hit a friend. Although, the only thing I'll hit is a hoof bump, of course." He chuckled as he understood what Pastel was trying to say. He soon grew quiet as he was contemplating his choice of song for them to dance. He wanted to dance to a song he had in mind, but he didn't want to be selfish to Pastel. He smiled as his decision was clear. "Okay. We're going with a little butterfly!" He selected the song as he got back into position on the dance pad.

"Are you ready!?" He would ask as he tried to sound like the announcer from the TTR game. All the while selecting his difficulty settings as he waited for Pastel to do the same. Once the song began to play, Dynamo would try to follow the notes to the best of his abilities. He would miss a note or two as he was still a little rusty. That, and some of the notes seemed to flow in patters that he found trouble to follow. He wasn't the best at dancing games, but he was having fun dancing alongside Pastel. He grinned as he hadn't had this kind of gaming fun in quite a while. As he hit the last few notes, he struck a pose as his score was on display. He was a little saddened that he didn't hit a new high score, but he was glad to be in the top score alongside Samurai.

Once again, something changed about Pastels demeanour as the song started. She went with normal, like she normally would, and once again, just like the concert... She became serious and gave off a mature aura. Even though this was only a dance game, she seemed to blend into the atmosphere and began lip syncing to the song along as well. She was tiny, but she bounced back and forth to not miss any arrows. There were times where she got lost in her own rhythm and miss some ques, so she wasn't getting a perfect game, but still did quite well. She ended up in the top 10 as well, just under Dynamo. She ended in a dynamic pose, one you might expect from a pro idol; hoof on her chin and tongue out. She was either a huge ham or this came extremely natural for her... Or both.

...Afterwards, without any notice or prompt, Pastels eyes lit up once again getting a possibly bad idea in her head, and she suddenly ran towards Dynamo, leaping high over him. Unless he caught her she would probably crash right into him and send them tumbling both off the stage.

As he turned to look at his teammate, Dynamo was caught off guard as Pastel suddenly ran towards him. Once she began to leap over him, he held his front hooves out to make sure he caught her. Even though he managed to catch her, the momentum caused him to tumble and crash off of the stage. He rolled for a bit, but he soon landed on his back. Making sure that Pastel didn't fall first or get hurt in the process. "I'm okay! No harm I think!" He called out, shaking his head as he managed to gather his bearings. "How about you? Are you okay, Pastel-chan? You're not hurt, are you?" He asks, worry and concern were present upon his facial features. Looking back at the scoreboard, he noticed that her score was under his. However, the two of them were still in the top ten.

"That was some really impressive dancing." He smiled, looking back up to meet Pastel's gaze. He remembered seeing something change in the young filly as she began to dance. It was as if she was born to dance, as well as having a serious, yet mature aura around her. He even liked how she began to lip sync as they danced. "Where did you learn to dance like that? I mean, my mother is a dancer by trade. She even teaches students to find their own dance styles. She even taught me when I was younger, but it's like you've had that skill all along. Seems like you're a pro at the dancing machine." He chuckled as he tried to bring the both of them up to a sitting position.

Pencil smiled at the quick leg-hug she received from the filly as she galloped off to the dancing game. Pencil wanted to play it as well, but Pastel and Dynamo seemed to be doing their own thing on it. Pencil left Mortal Kombat ans searched for other games that would peek her interest. She had heard there were classic arcade games around, but she wasn’t sure exactly which ones were here, let alone playable.

Whatever the filly was expecting didn't come to fruition, and thus they tumbled away. She laughed happily though, even though it was an epic fail. She let Dynamo help her up and smiled.

"Well, worth a shot!~ I'm okay, hehe."

She was back to her usual self. It seemed she wasn't entirely aware of her changes.

"Well, I played that game in Manehattan too! Kinda used to it. And, well... I dunno what it is, but singing and dancing, on a stage, singing especially makes me super happy! Like, I'm a heroine to the masses giving them joy, or something? Nyaha... probably sounds silly... I think it would be fun, to sing, dance and dress up more often. If you'll cheer me on of course, Dyny!"

Pastel winked and stood in a little pose. She never would have done that if he didn't give her the confidence to do it; she was grateful even if she didn't show that on her face. With so many stars in her eyes, Pencil may have a better chance in MKII now...

"Sorry about not being able to catch you. I guess there could have been a warning of being caught, but I guess it couldn't be helped. Can't help being feeling ecstatic when playing a video game. Unless it's rage and the idea of not trying to destroy a controller or console." He chuckled, remembering countless times of angry gamer's from the time of his old hometown arcade. After helping Pastel up, Dynamo smiled as it seemed that the young filly was back to normal.

"That must be one of your favorite songs to dance to. From what you're telling me, it seems like singing and dancing are something you love. It's sort of a way to help express yourself and how it allows you to be yourself. I can respect it as it's the same way for myself and video games. I always have that feeling like I'm the character I'm playing, or I can fight like them. Almost like I can be stronger than I was before. So, I don't think what you're saying is silly. I find what you said rather admirable and something to look up to. Since it's sort of inspiring or noble, or something along those lines." He smiled while chuckling once more at Pastel's little pose. He ruffled her mane once more as he pulled her into a hug. "Of course I'll be cheering you on, Pastel-chan. I'll make sure I'm there front and center in the audience to watch you since and dance. I know how you feel as I love dressing up in cosplay and going to conventions. So, I do get the idea of dressing up and singing on stage was just as fun too." He would say as he pulled back from the hug. "So, what do you think? Are you up for another song, or are you set to kick some butt at MKII?"

"Hehe it's okay! I figured maybe end it on the move from Dirty Dancing yknow~?"

She giggled, lost in her own fantasy. She blushed and happily hugged him back, tail swaying.

"I like that song loads! And I do like dancing, and especially singing... I think maybe my talent is something to do with that... But, I don't wanna rush it too soon, you know? I wanna be free to be anything for now. I'm a floater and that's how I like it~ and if I'm floating with you, then that's all the more reason to explore the world!"

Pastel looked up with light and adoration in her eyes. It seemed she had a vague idea of what made her special, but clings to a life of drifting... An odd filly for sure. Only thing more sure is how much she adored the pony in front of her.

"That kinda wore me out, and other ponies might wanna dance too! Maybe we can go play with Pencil and come back later? You can think of a song for us for next time!"

Dynamo's jaw dropped slightly at the mention of the movie name. "You've seen the dancing movie, Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze? My mom is a fan of that movie. Given that she's a dancing enthusiast." He grinned, nodding in understanding as he listened to her explanation. "I can imagine that there's a song out there that one can call their favorite. I know that there are loads of anime songs and/or regular songs I can't stop listening too. I want to say the same thing, but I wouldn't want to assume. Plus, you do make a good point. It's always good to enjoy life to the fullest. Once you know what you want to do in life, then that cutie mark of yours will appear." He smiled sheepishly, blushing slightly at her last comment. "If that's the case, then I hope you'll be able to keep floating around with me for a while. Just like everyone else who might show up at this town."

The gamer pony looked towards Pastel with admiration and wonder. She seemed to have an idea of what made her special and what her dreams could be. The only thing different was that she still wanted to explore the world and see what was out there. He could respect that and was thankful he valued the friendship he had with her, as well as the others in the arcade. "I don't blame you. Playing a song on the highest difficulty can wear one out. Especially if there's too many dance step sequences all showing up one after the others." He chuckled and couldn't find any argument in her statement. He did want to dance again, but he knew that he couldn't be selfish like that. There was alway another time to dance. Besides, he had other games to enjoy with his friends. "Okay and I'll take you up on your offer. There's so many other games that we need to test out." He got back to his hooves as he offered her a hoof to help her stand. "Hey, Astral! Pastel and Pencil are going to have a rematch. Did you want to join us? There was a game I wanted to also try out if you are interested." He would say, before turning his attention over towards the other blue stallion.

Trilby wasn't sure Shadow would actually accept, but she did. "All right, well, this is rather last second, but..." Trilby takes a moment to pull out some very elegant-looking pieces of scrap material from his briefcase, and quickly manages to make a fitting Fascinator for Shadow. He puts it on her head. "...Perfect fit! Shall we?" He offers his arm before they go in.

Samurai nods, having his first exchange with Dynamo after leaving the dance pad. "I guess I got lucky. By the song's title, it sounded like something that might reflect my culture, and it definitely sounded like that. So I combined a cultural dance from my home with the song. Not that I am a professional dancer by trade, but I've learned many of my sword-fighting and warrior techniques can translate pretty well into dance." Samurai explains.

However, seconds before Dynamo and Pastel play the game, he goes over to Pastel and holds up his hoof in her direction, wanting a hoof bump. "Take no prisoners out there, fellow champion!" (I am going to assume Pastel returns the brohoof, if that's okay. Otherwise, put your own spin on it.)

After that, Samurai takes a moment to watch Dynamo and Pastel do their song and dance on TTR. He claps to the beat and enjoys it. He is just about to cheer for their victory, when Pastel leaps all over Dynamo. "Oh no~!" Samurai is about to leap in to help, but it seems Dynamo was able to catch her after all. Samurai sighs with relief. He has made some capable friends after all.

While that is handled, Samurai turns to Astral. "Sorry for having my attention divided. Seems this arcade has a lot to offer. I really want to talk to you more about the mayor and the puzzle. When you have a moment, that is." Samurai says. However, shortly after saying that, Dynamo calls out to Astral as well. Now he has a choice of what he wants to do. Samurai just smirks and shrugs. "It's whatever you wish to do. I can always play a different game somewhere."

“Sure” she said. They walk into the diner, there are several ponies eating, most of them dressed. Shadow was glad they aren't looking at her yet, she didn't want to be looked at for their own reasons. She quickly found a table and sat down.

Astral was amazed at the dancing talents of both Dynamo and Pastel, clearly they had practiced for many years. He watched as they moved on to the next arcade machine, until Dynamo turned to ask if he wished to play with them. Astral decided he needed some fun competition today, so he agreed.

"Just pick the game Dynamo, and may the best colt win."

"Perhaps it was by being lucky, or you have the skills of a dancer. It looked like you were following the dancing pattern from the game, but it also seemed as if you incorporated your own style. That was rather interesting, in my opinion. The song did feel like it would reflect Mistmane's village. Now that I thought about it a little more. It's like I told Pastel before. My mother is a dancer by trade and she teaches classes to other ponies/students. She even taught me if I ever need to know how to dance. It's pretty convenient that there's a video game that is all about dancing." Dynamo responded with a nod.

Do you have a personal preference on what kind of genre of games that you like to play? I have a few favorites, but I'm more of a fan of fighting games. I was thinking we could try this one game I found when searching through the arcade." He would say, walking over, until he stopped at the machine in question. It was the Dead or Alive arcade machine that he stood alongside Samurai and Raze. The DOA and MKII machines had two other arcade machines standing in between them. So, while the group seemed far apart from one another. They were still within their sights. "I know you said I can pick the game, but would this game be okay? I want to take my friend's feelings into account."

@Pastel Heart

Pencil walked around a bit before deciding on a game called “PAC-Man”. She thought she might have heard of this game from one of her friends but had never played it herself. She knew it was about a board and dots, but that was about it. When she pressed START, she was greeting on-screen with energetic music, a yellow circle, and a lot of colorful ghosts. Curiously, Pencil moved the joystick left and right. She noticed that the  yellow circle began to dash around the board, engulfing all the dots in its path. Pencil was fascinated by this, so she decided to play this game for a while. She wasn’t very good at it and she made way too many close calls, but she got past the first stage. The second stage was a lost cause, however, as she couldn’t get more than five dots without dying.

“Hey, Pastel, let me know when you want another rematch, okay?” she yelled across the arcade room. She knew she would probably lose again but she felt a little better going against other ponies. That way, she could study their strategies and prepare for the next time.

"Hehe, don't worry Dyny, I'd never forget about you! You can ask me for a dance ANYTIME and I'd say yes! And everything else too! Maybe we can watch that movie together sometime too~!"

Pastel smiled. She'd love to dance more but didn't wanna neglect her other friends too. Besides, Dynamo wasn't getting rid of her that easy, she thought.

@Samurai Equine

Pastel returns the brohoof, though she had to jump to to Samurai's height to do it. She seemed proud of herself.

"Hurrah! Size means nothing! I am one can short of a six pack!"

...Regardless of what she was referencing, she seemed happy. The combined adrenaline of the dance and taking the prior bump.

@ExplosionMare

Her ears perked up upon hearing Pencil calling for her. That's right, she had to make up for getting swept up in the dragon stuff earlier. She saluted Dynamo and Samurai like a magical girl before rushing over to Pencil, screeching slightly past her.

"Ahoy, fair maiden! If you wish to best me in Mortal Kombat you must be one with your horseshoe size! ...wait, is that how it goes?"

Samurai sees what's going. He smiles and nods. "Of course. Have fun, you two!" He walks off to try something different

We'll save that dance for another time. There's too many games that are calling everyone's names." He chuckled, nodding at the mention of the movie. All before tilting his head in slight confusion. "I'm all for watching that movie together, but what movie was it? I can imagine there will be plenty of movie nights or something like that." He would say, chuckling once more at Pastel's comment. "Well, to be fair. There are six of us. So, the whole six pack is kind of accurate." He would say as he watched Pastel, who seemed to have issued a challenge to Pencil in her own style.

@Pastel Heart

Pencil stared off into the distance in confusion. She didn’t think she had even heard of the phrase Pastel had just said.

“I have no idea if that’s how that goes,” she thought aloud.

Regardless of the thought, Pencil finished her session in Pac-Man, considering it an insignificant loss since she had one life left and had only cleared ten dots.

“I’m up for another rematch if you are! Unless you’re scared you might lose!” Pencil sneered playfully. She had absolutely no idea if she convince Pastel that she could win, but she wanted to pretend for a second that she did.

@Samurai Equine

Pencil turned to where Samurai was standing. He had inquired about the arcade game she had been playing for quite a while. To the best of her ability, she explained,

“Yeah, so, you’re this big yellow dot that eats the other small white dots. While you’re doing that you have to stay away from the ghosts because they can kill you. Luckily if you eat a giant white dot the ghosts turn blue and you can eat them, too! It’s really fun, even though I’m bad at it. Do you wanna try? I’m going over to another game so this one is all yours!”

The gamer pony grinned as he waved his front hoof. A sort of indication for Astral to follow. "I have a video game in mind, but I just wanted to make sure on something.

@Dynamo Pad

Astral slightly grimaced at the title 'Dead or Alive', guessing that the game wasn't entirely age appropriate. However, he had never played the game before, so he figured there would be no harm in trying it.

"Sure Dynamo, let's begin. Best of luck."

Shadow smiled to hear Trilby wants know how she got her cutie mark, it was a grey swirling tornado “Well, how I got my cutie mark is-” However before, she could start her explanation, the glass right infront of her shattered. She let out a shriek and narrow avoid a large shard from hitting her head. Some of the ponies around them screamed in shock and horror. Seems like the curse hidden inside of her doesn't want to reveal how she got her cutie mark. The object which was used to shatter the glass was a kitchen knife and written on it was very disturbing to her since not only what it said but also the letter looks like dried blood.

Dynamo turned to him and nodded at his response, before taking notice of Astral grimacing. He tilted his head slightly in confusion, before looking back at the game. Realization dawned upon him as he shook his head, before turning back to his friend. "Oh, there's no need to worry. It's the name of the game because it's a fighting game. It's mostly rated T for teen, but it's not like Mortal Kombat. So, there's no need to worry. Also, thank you and best of luck to you too, Astral."

As the gamer pony started up the machine to select their characters, Dynamo went over the controls and button's on how to fight, block, evade, etc. He was rusty in this game, but he didn't want to have any sort of advantage against his friend. Once the battle began, Dynamo was able to easily take the first round. The memory of combos and the controls coming back to him. There were moments he was caught off guard as he watched Astral take some rounds from him. Upon taking his second loss in a best of five, Dynamo decided to take it up a notch. He had won back some matches, but lost as Astral had scored another point. Taking a deep breath, Dynamo knew he would have to step up his game again. This time, his horn started to glow with magic, while the fluid motion of his hooves and the controls seemed to go hoof in hoof. He weaved his head back and forth, almost as if he was fighting as the character he had selected. As Dynamo landed the finishing strike, it was as if a small gust of wind flew past the two fighters. Everyone around in the arcade would be able to feel the slight breeze the gust had given off, while drawing their attention to the source. The small gust flew past the book that Dynamo placed next to him. Effectively sending the book to the ground as it's pages opened to an unknown number.

The glow of magic soon faded as the gamer pony sighed as he took a seat on the floor. "Whew. I really have gotten rusty. I wasn't holding back, but you were holding your own. You sure you haven't played the game before, Astral? I was surprised that you were able to do that break hold. I still have trouble executing that kind of reversal. Great game, my friend." He panted as he tried to catch his breath. He had a bad habit of going all out within a fight in a game.

Samurai notices Pencil leaving the cabinet and tries his own hoof at Pac-Man. (Should it be Pac-Mane?)
When the game starts, Samurai taps the direction stick in one direction. "Woah! Sugee.." Samurai says, noticing that Pac-Man doesn't stop moving when you let go of the control stick. Then Pac-Man stops in a corner. "Uh..." Samurai makes him move in the opposite direction, only to get eaten by a ghost because he wasn't paying attention. "...I don't get it." Samurai says to himself.

Samurai continues to try. He wastes one life learning the art of going down different paths, which requires a tighter reaction than he expect.
He wastes another life learning how to use the power pellet, and failing to eat a ghost.
He wastes a third life running away from a cherry, but by the time he learns it's good, he gets eaten by another ghost.
And somewhere between these three lives, he does feel a gust of wind, but he doesn't really pay it any attention because he is so invested in the game. "Could someone close the door, please?"

After two or three resets/retries, Samurai begins to figure it out. He even clears the first board. "I've got it! I finally see the pattern!!"

@Windy Breeze

"WAH!" Trilby nearly jumps from the exploding glass and the appearance of the knife. "Shadow, are you okay? Not hurt, are you? ... Waiter! Waiter!! Is this any way to treat a patron?" Trilby asks, annoyed. The waiter appears. "So sorry, sir. We shall give you a discount for this incident. It won't happen again." He cleans the table and takes the knife away. "If you prefer, there is a clean table over here." He points to another table near by. "What do you think, Shadow? Should we move? Wouldn't want you to accidentally cut yourself on any glass shards."
