"And off we go." Thundy said as he accelerated forward. He took a dirt road with some hills for at least some fun. The buggy bounced as it went over some hills. He accelerated a little harder over one hill, giving a small pop of airtime, like a roller coaster, knowing Finn would love it.,

"Alright! Remember what I was mentioning before, Thundy. Ride like you normally would. Please don't slow down for my sake." He would say, before he felt himself being accelerated forward. He felt his back being slammed against the seat, while being tossed from side to side from the hills. However, he was laughing as it was actually fun like a roller coaster. Feeling the acceleration increase, he saw one hill up ahead as they made a bit of a jump. Effectively giving some airtime as he felt his heart and stomach drop. He gasped, before reality came back to him. "WAHOO!! Let's go!" exclaimed with a chuckle.

"Well I can't exactly stay in this timeline forever, Dynamo. I'm from the past, remember? I have family and friends that will be worried about me if I don't go back. Not to mention the time-space continuum and all that..." Final explains.

He nearly gags again when he sees Dynamo and Bluebell flirting, but doesn't say anything. Thankfully, Thundy's fast driving is just the distraction he needed "WOOHOO!!! I can feel the g-forces!"

Final can barely sit still. "I can't wait to tell Crow about this~ Or should I? hard to tell... Don't want to risk ruining the timeline, but he seems like a cool guy who would understand and would keep it all a secret. At least, most of the time he does. Sometimes it's hard to tell. It's like Crow has two minds about everything." Final rambles on.

Hearing that the young Final couldn't stay in his timeline caused the gaming unicorn to blush slightly in embarrassment. "Oh, I see. My question must have been pretty obvious now that I think about it. Sorry about that, Final." He chuckled slightly, before giving an understanding nod. "I guess it does make a lot of sense. You wouldn't want to see or be a part of something that could alter the course of history. At the very least, we might be able to see you in the present if we hopefully cross paths again. I'll admit that it was a bit confusing when I met you for the first time, but you're pretty cool, in my opinion." He smiled, before raising a curious eyebrow at the mention of Crow. "I hope you don't mind me asking this, but who's Crow? If he can keep a secret for most of the time, then I would say maybe tell him that you went on an awesome trip. Are the two of you friends? From the way you talk about them, it sounds like it. However, I can't assume anything, of course. Although, you mentioned something about Crow and how it's like he has two minds. What makes you say that?"

Sundae waved at Tree's retreating form “Take care” after Tree completely disappeared in sight, Sundae turned and went back to her home, wondering what food did her maids made today.

"Crow? Oh, that's my best friend from back in my timeline. We go to school together! But Crow is just a nickname because his full name is kind of a mouthful. Doesn't really liked to be called Chromatic Alfonz. So he shorted it the first syllable, but spells it like the bird Crow." Final explains.

He reaches over to try and see where the kart is going. "Is the arcade far away? Should we be there soon?"

"Oh, I see. The name he has is rather interesting, but the nickname is pretty cool. Now I see why you said his name is a mouthful." Dynamo responded with a chuckle, before continuing. "It kind of reminds me of a character from some show that had the name Crow. The character from the show also used the name as the bird Crow too. I guess birds of a feather, flock together. It's still nice to know that you both have a friend when it comes to going to school together." He would say, smiling sadly as he didn't exactly have a friend when it came to school. Closing his eyes momentarily, he quickly opened his eyes to try and remove any traces of sadness. He didn't want his expression to be caught in any of the rearview mirrors, as well as not trouble anyone.

Bluebell saw the pendant hanging from her neck glow, and felt a mild lump in her throat.  She looked up at Dynamo just as he closed his eyes.  She smiled at him,  then reached over, and  gently  stroked his face.

Thundy saw the sad look on Dynamo's face. "Awww...this oughtta cheer you up buddy!" Thundy said gathering some electricity and releasing a pulse. He then flipped his music on to a familiar tune from a certain racing game. The world around them changed to that of Mario Circuit from Mario Kart Double Dash as Thundy sped up on the dirt road. It looked like the exact Mario Circuit, except the road was still dirt. Peach's castle could be seen along with some goombas in the road! Thundy accelerated and weaved through the goombas.

As he opened his eyes, Dynamo was caught off guard as he felt a hoof gently stoking his face. His eyes followed the hoof until he saw that the hoof belonged to Bluebell. His eyes met hers as he saw her smile. The pendant hanging around his neck began to glow as he felt a sense of warmth, Carew and affection. He felt a brief, yet strong sense of guilt in the pit of his stomach. He wondered if the pendants were more than their emotions that helped to forge the accessory. Perhaps it held their thoughts or feelings, while not even having to say a word. He wasn’t sure, but he might have to talk to Bluebell or someone about the pendant. At any rate, he pulled the bespectacled mare closer towards him as he nuzzled her cheek. All the while, giving her a small, yet caring smile. A way of saying that he was sorry and that he’d be okay.

His eyes blinked as he heard Thundy’s voice and reassurance of cheering him up. Was he truly that easy to read, or was it really that noticeable? The gaming unicorn wondered if he should talk about what had gotten to him. However, what held him back was a worry of nobody understanding, or if he was just overthinking it. Either way, he knew he would try and talk about it when the time was right. His ears perked as he heard the sound of crackling electricity could be heard. Once a pulse of energy had been launched all around them, Dynamo could hear the music being changed. He smiled as he soon remembered where they were at just now. “Hey. This is Mareio Circuit from Double Dash! Oh, this takes me back.” He would say, feeling somewhat nostalgic. As they weaves through the pack of goombas, the gaming unicorn pointed towards the castle with his free hoof. “Don’t forget to drift to pick up some speed, Thundy!”

”I remember that of course.” Thundy said as he started to drift, the 2jz’s anti lag going off causing the engine to backfire loudly. A banana peel was up ahead. Thundy avoided it.

Nopony and Tree Song arrive at the inn. They don't want to eat the ice cream now, so they use a spell to keep it cold until tomorrow. They rent a room with two beds, eat a warm meal, talk about what happened today, and go to sleep.

Once the griffon started to drift, Dynamo's ears perked, before falling from the sound of the engine backfiring. "Sheesh. Now that's what I call a wake up call." He chuckled as he wasn't sure why the buggy was doing that, but it seemed to have given the vehicle some sort of speed boost. He could hear the roar of the engine loud and clear as they zoomed down the track. Dynamo was pushed to the side as Thundy maneuvered around a banana peel. "Hey, Thundy? Is it just us on the track, or is there someone else who's trying to race us? Unless the banana peel is just for show. Also, how close are we to the finish line?" He asks, referring the finish line as either the town and/or the arcade.

"I'd say we're a little past half way." Thundy said as they crossed a certain point. The "Final Lap" jingle sounded and lakitu hovered in front of us with a sign that said "Final stretch". The music shifted keys and went a little faster. A red shell was headed Thundy's way. "Everybody hold on!" He shouted as he pulled a lever. This lever contracted the springs. Just as the red shell was about to collide with the kart, Thundy pressed the button on the lever, which released the springs, causing the kart to hurdle into the air pulling a front flip. The kart landed back on all for tires. As for the red shell, it hit a wall and broke apart. "Phew, that was close." Thundy stated as he drifted a turn and got a small boost, the acceleration being felt.

To say that Final was a little beside himself was an understatement! His eyes wide, he looks around at everything. "Where are we?! Is this Super Mareio or something? When you said we were going to the arcade, I didn't think this is what you meant!" Final says.

Part of him wants to watch the sights fly by, but another part of him wants to scientifically examine all these things. He reaches out occasionally and tries to grab something. He won't lean outside of the kart or anything. It's too dangerous for that, especially since the kart is moving so fast. Doesn't look like Final is having much luck.

Then, suddenly... Final's eyes go wide before he clutches his get and leans down. "Oh boy... Pull the kart over.... PLEASE pull over!!" Final suddenly says. Could this be an emergency?

Hearing that they were past the halfway point caused Dynamo to breathe a sigh of relief. He wasn't sure if the track was able to go back to the field and/or town, but this was still awesome regardless. His ears perked as he heard the familiar 'final lap' theme, as well as seeing the lakitu hold up the sign with a fishing pole. "I know that theme. We're almost near the finish line, you guys! Just one lap left!" He called out, before hearing what appeared to be a set of warning beeps. Glancing behind him, his eyes widened as he saw a red shell was headed their way. "Oh, that's not good! Where are these things coming from!?" He asks, before he heard a button being pressed by Thundy. Effectively causing the kart to being launched into the air with a front flip. "Woah!" He exclaimed, before chuckling at the dizzy sensation of the flip. As they landed back upon the ground, the gaming unicorn couldn't help in shaking his head to shake away the dizziness. "Whoo! Now I know what the other drivers go through when they do those crazy flips. That was still awesome!"

Dynamo looked over towards young Final, who was wondering where they were. "I'm not sure how, but it looks like we're in a Mareio Kart level. We're still heading toward the arcade, but I think Thundy wanted to make the ride back to be interesting." He would say, before hearing that Final wanted them to pull over. "Are you okay, Final? Why do you need us to pull over?" He asks, a look of concern was present upon his face, while worried for the colt's well being. He thought he had seen Final clutch his gut, before his eyes widened. "Uh oh..." He uttered, before turning towards the male griffon. "...Thundy? I think you better do what he says. If not, then this is not going to end well." He says, hoping that Thundy understood the message.

The finish line was up ahead. Thundy mashed the gas and slowed the kart down all the way to a gentle stop as the music ended and the scene returned to normal. They were right at the arcade. Thundy gathered some electricity and made a barf bag appear. He handed it to Final in case he needed it. "Well here we are...I hope you're okay Final and I hope that flip didn't upset that tummy of yours." Thundy stated as he put the kart in park. He turned and saw Chelsea who was still holding Pencil. "Awww, so cute." He commented.

To Thundy's surprise, he waves off the bag, though he is still clutching himself. "No, it's... !! Oh, we're here." Thundy sits up when he sees they have a arrived.

Leaping out of the kart and running off like a thunderbolt, Final disappears deep in the arcade. For a second, there is nothing. And then, there comes the faint sound of a...

Final returns shortly after, looking very relieved. "Ah... Much better. Sorry about there, everyone. It's been such a long and exciting day, I guess I didn't realize I was holding it in for so long." He rubs the back of his head, a little embarrassed.

As the finish line was just up ahead, Dynamo felt his back being glued to the back of the seat. Just as Thundy had mashed the his talon on the gas pedal. "Let's go! Pedal to the metal! WAHOO!" He exclaimed, the wind flowing through his mane as he was enjoying the rush of the ride. Just as the ride came to an end, Dynamo could hear the music had ended, while the scene had returned to normal. Right in front of him and the others was the arcade. "Woah. We're at the arcade, but how? It looked like we were on a Mareio Kart level, but we somehow ended up here. H-How was that possible?" He asks, wondering how Thundy had done that. His jaw dropped in shock as his eyes were filled with amazement. He looked over to see that Chelsea and Pencil had met up with them at the arcade. "Hey, Pencil! Hey, Chelsea! It's good to see you both!" As the kart was put in park, Dynamo made his way out of the vehicle. He offered his hoof to Bluebell to help her out of the vehicle. 

Dynamo glanced over to see that Final had refused a bag that Thundy had offered him. If Final wasn't sick, then... "Uh, oh." He was about to change his guess, before the young colt dashed into the arcade. For a moment, there was nothing except absolute silence. It was so quiet that you could hear the sound of a pin drop. A moment had passed, before the gaming unicorn could hear a faint sound of a flush. Breathing a sigh of relief, Dynamo smiled as Final had made his return. "Talk about saved by the bell." He would say, before shaking his head at Final's apology. "It's okay and no need to apologize. I'm just glad you were able to make it, Final. You washed your hooves before coming back, right?" He asks, while trying to help set a good sense of hygiene for Final.

"Well, glad it wasn't what I thought...anyway, the way that spell worked was that I envisioned the route and pulled a memory spell that altered the environment to match that of Mario Circuit from Mario Kart Double Dash. That is one game that is absolutely dear to my heart." Thundy said getting out. He walked towards Chelsea, who smiled at him, still holding Pencil. "You love holding ponies and creatures don't you?" He asked. Chelsea nodded yes with a smile.

As Phoenix makes his way to Town Center for physical help and decorating materials, he spots the arcade and the crowd.

Looking up, he sees that there's time to kill two birds with one stone, and to have some relaxation.

Walking up to them, he politely waves.

"Hi. I'm new around here, and I was just wondering if I could join you guys for a bit."

At the mention of them, Final looks over and sees Pencil and Chelsea. "Oh! Hey! Glad you're both here too!" He waves at them. He also answers Dynamo's question. "Yes, sir. And I have sanitary wipes too."

Final takes a moment to think. "Hmm... I said I had a story to tell you all... I know it was important... Oh! There's a new arrival in Friendshire. He said he's a changeling. Mr. Kronos and a guy named Silver said he was trustworthy. That's not the story I wanted to say, but it's also important." Final begins.

About that time, said new arrival walks up. "Oh! There he is. The new guy I was talking about. He said his name was Phoenix Fire. Over here, Mr. Fire!" Final waves him over.
