Chelsea watched as the mayors split up again and listened to the exchange. She let out a sad sigh as Mayor Black told Mayor White to fix the town first before they could rule together. "Why not help in fixing the town..." She said telepathically to Mayor Black. She then heard Mayor White wanting to explore the town. 

"I'd be willing to show you around town." Chelsea said. She then sent a quick text to Thundy. "Hey Thundy, think you can whip up a surprise for Mayor White? He's feeling a lot better now." She texted.

As some time passed, Dynamo was walking alongside Bluebell, while the duo were carrying the things they had won through carnival games. They had gone on more carnival rides like the swinging ship, the Roundup, Swinging Swings, the Ferris wheel and so on, so forth. Along with rides, they had taken part in multiple games, as well. Ranging from the water-gun shooting gallery, knocking down milk bottles and hoop games. Making their way towards the car, Dynamo fished for his keys with his magic, while trying to keep the guitar, plush and other prizes they won afloat. All the while, making sure the two didn't leave anything behind or lose anything on their trek back to the carnival entrance. "That was a lot of fun. It's been a long time since I've been to the carnival. So, it was honestly a really nice experience. If it's still open, then we should try and invite the others some other time. At the very least, I'm glad you and I went together, Bluebell." He smiled with a blush, while remembering their last ride they had gone on. That being the Ferris wheel, which had taken them to the very top of the ride at one point. Seeing the peaceful, yet thrilling view of everyone enjoying themselves could have put one at simple ease. Even having his date sitting next to him, while feeling her head leaned against his shoulder was absolute bliss. There was a point where he almost leaned forward to kiss her, but he had stopped suddenly as the ride was bringing them back down. He breathed a small, silent sigh of disappointment, before realizing that there would be many more opportunities. For the meantime, he was still enjoying the time he had shared with the bespectacled, blue unicorn mare.

"Aha! There we go!" He exclaimed, pulling out the keys as they were near the vehicle. It was then that he noticed a button attached to the keychain. Curiosity getting the better of him, he clicked said button. Which, in turn, had caused the trunk to fly open. "Glad to know that was the button for the trunk." He smiled, while he began to place his stuff in the trunk. At the same time, making sure that Bluebell had space to put her belongings in the trunk. Whatever room they didn't have, he would make sure the rest were secure in the back seat of the car. "So, what do you think, Bluebell? Is there anywhere else you want to go, or are you hungry?" He suggested, but deciding to wait to see what Bluebell had preferred.

It was going to be a maze experience for both Trilby, Shadow, and Keen as they have to cross, switch, roads, and even ask directions to a few locals who are kind enough to give them directions to the hotel.

“This place is like a maze than back at Haytona city and the traffic is even more busier!" Shadow had almost caused a traffic collision as this was her first time crossing a very busy road.

Kronos looked at Mayor Black with slight bitterness, but with more empathy than anything, for he, too, knows what it’s like to love your sibling but have a different path for yourself. He briefly remembered his older sister, Rhea, and the time they spent ruling together until he decided to strike out on his own. 

He stopped Mayor Black briefly before he left and whispered to him, “Try not to make the same mistakes you made here when you get to your new city, okay?”

Upon hearing her mention about food, Dynamo's stomach growled in agreement. "I guess my stomach is with you on that." He chuckled, grinning with a nod. "Okay! I know just the place. I noticed a nice diner around town when I was driving with Thundy." He explained, opening the passenger door for Bluebell, before closing the door and making his way around the vehicle. Making sure the trunk was also closed, he entered the driver's seat and started up the car. Smiling as he heard the rev of the engine to know that all was well "I'm also interested in learning more about you. Do you have any questions that you'd like to ask me? Also, I'm guessing where I came from is probably the fist question?" He smiled as he wasn't sure if that really was the first question, but he still felt it was no harm to ask.

Putting the car into drive, the gaming unicorn nodded at Bluebell's response as he recalled the steps needed to drive. Feeling the car wheels beginning to turn, Dynamo drove the two of them off back towards town. "Okay, then. I remember that you told me that you lived in Appleloosa, so it's only fair that I give where I lived. I guess it's not really anything special, but I grew up in my hometown of Fillydelphia. It was near around the heart of the town. One where you'd have to walk a bit, before reaching buildings for hangouts, restaurants and such." He explained, while trying to figure out what else he should say. Should he talk about school, or the arcade he went to as a colt, or how he got his cutie mark? Speaking of which, did he ever ask her of her mark and what it meant or how she had gotten it? Such questions had bounced back and forth in his mind as he tried to keep his focus on driving. If she could see, she would notice the look of uncertainty in regards to questions on his facial expressions.

"Ooh! Thundy is going to join us? I hope there will be hay and mayo sandwiches. I haven't had one of those in ages." Mayor White says, ever chipper it seems. "I'm not sure I should allow this without at least doing a basic check up. You know, to make sure you won't need a medical escort." The nurse says. "Do so if you must, but I think you'll find I can finally pass with flying colors." Mayor White tells her.

Mayor Black jumps a little. "New city?! Surely you jest! I plan to stay here forever. This is still MY city. But you could be my #1 assistant again, if you're willing. I'm willing to look past our little disagreement and let bygones be bygones. I can be a very magnanimous pony, if I do say so myself."

After much searching, Samurai finally finds them. Samurai sees a vehicle driving by with Dynamo and Bluebell inside it. He waves, hoping to get their attention.

Indeed, Manehattan is very big. However, with enough persistence, they make it to the hotel. With Trilby's help, the manage to get there without getting lost. "Well, this is the place. Anything look familiar, Keen? If not, I can book us all a room or two. We can stay as long as you need to help you get your memories back. Maybe if I was a more powerful unicorn, I could do a better job of helping you unlock them." Trilby says.

"Alright. I'll wait then...and we're actually gonna drop by the shop. Thundy's busy doing something right now. Not sure if he will join us. We will see." Chelsea stated as she waited for the nurse to perform the checkup on Mayor White.

As they were beginning to drive back towards town, Dynamo was brought out of his jumbled mess of thoughts as he saw a familiar face. That familiar face turned out to be Samurai, who was waving to them. "Hey, it's Sam!" He smiled, waving with one hoof as he made sure to keep his other hoof on the wheel. Pulling over to the side of the road, he put the vehicle in park. All the while, waiting patiently for the asian pony to come towards them. He was surprised to see Sam as he recalled seeing him with the others as they left the hospital. However, he was still happy to see his friend regardless. He hoped that Bluebell didn't mind them making a quick stop to see Sam, before they continued on their date.

Kronos looked at Mayor Black with an expression of deep thought, then towards Mayor White, then back to Black.

 

He then said, “So long as you agree not to abandon this town again like a coward, i would reluctantly work for you again; however, I am also under the indentured employment of your brother here as well, so dont be surprised if White’s orders override yours.”

It grew quieter in the museum. That was fine, Pencil supposed, it gave her a chance to reorganize a bit in peace. She had thought about what Samurai said about the art earlier and decided to take his criticism to heart. This museum was meant to be special, and it couldn’t be special without something more lively in it.

I’d hate to just take all of these pretty works of art down, though, Pencil thought. Maybe, maybe they could just be relocated...or repurposed?

She seemed uncertain about what steps she was going to take next. She didn’t want to disappoint the up-and-coming artists, but she also didn’t want to hold back the museum’s potential. She tapped her hooves together and looked down, wondering if she could come up with any ideas this way. After a few tap tap taps of her hooves, she came up with a plan that she felt would work.

“I could take all these older artworks and see what the artists want to do with them! They can remaster them, keep them in a separate exhibit, or just make something new entirely.” she announced to herself. Eager to enact the plan as soon as possible, she scurried to her office and opened up her contact journal. She hoped the clients were as on board with the new plan as she was, but if they weren’t, she could always readjust a few things.

Mayor White submits himself for a quick physical. The nurse and the doctors check for any pain anywhere, any trouble with mobility, any troubles with vision, balance, motor skills, etc. All seem perfectly fine! "Well, we can't seem to find anything. It's... It's a miracle! You're back to full health, just like we always wanted!" One of the doctors says. "Quite proper! I told you I'd pass with flying colors, I did." Mayor White says. "Just be sure not to let him over exert himself." The nurse quietly warns Chelsea.

"D'oh~! You drive a hard bargain, my cybernetic friend. Come, let me treat you to an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, maybe I can sway you with some good food. ...You do still eat, right? Or do you have a high tech solution for that?" Mayor Black asks Kronos as they leave White's building.

Samurai approaches their vehicle when Dynamo pulls over, happy to see them. "Hi Dynamo! Hi Bluebell. I don't wish to be rude, I just wanted to know how the date was going. Are you two having fun? Need any help with anything?"

Dynamo smiled as the asian pony had approached the vehicle. All the while, shaking his head softly at his mention of not wanting to be rude. "You weren't being rude, Sam. To be honest, t-the date has been going well. We just came back from the carnival that was around town. Some of the rides and games were pretty awesome. How have you and the other's been? Did we miss anything since we've been gone? If it's still open, then I definitely recommend everyone else to go and take a look." He explained, while he almost was about to respond that they were good and didn't need any help. However, he soon stopped as he wanted to make sure on something. "Actually, there is one thing we need help with. I remember seeing a cafe that had a sort of open floor. Do you happen to remember how to get to that building." He hoped that Samurai would know as he didn't want to ruin the surprise of the cafe building.

"You have my word." Chelsea said to the doctor. "Come on Mayor, let's go for a drive." Chelsea said as she waited outside of the checkup room for Mayor White. Chelsea quickly texted Thundy to check how Mayor White's surprise was coming along.

"Maybe if you reveal that you're an alicorn, you have a chance to receive a position of authority in this town. But you should also do something to gain trust of the citizens, otherwise they will only fear that mysterious alicorn that appeared out of nowhere. Also I think it will be better if you don't reveal that you look like Twilight Sparkle, it would only weird them out. Unless you want to pretend that you're the real Twilight, but I don't think it's a good idea."

"We have lots of writing materials in our room, so when we get there, you can write anything you want. As for gaining trust, you do it by helping the citizens. Often there are some strange and dangerous things happening here, so there are many occasions to provide assistance."

I finished the bathing process, and I'm preparing to leave the tub.

"By the way, are you going to put your disguise on? We can meet somepony while going to our room."

I leave the tub and use a towel to dry myself. It's not easy to do if you're an earth pony, but after years of practice, it's doable.

Sparkly magically summoned some kind of blueprint. I have no idea what it depicts. "What is it? And where did you get it?" I ask, with surprise in my eyes.

"You actually know how to go into space? We have the idea of space travel, I've seen ponies dressed as astronauts during Nightmare Night. But it happens only in science fiction novels, as we don't have the technology to actually do it. If you manage to pull it off, that would be a great achievement." Then I remember something. "There was one pony on the moon, but it was pure magic, not technology, and she wasn't there as her normal self, it was just her face that appeared on the surface of the moon. So it was nothing like the space travel as you describe it."

We go upstairs. "I'm not good with technical stuff myself, but perhaps you can find someone here who will help you work on your rocket."

"Ooh hoo! Sounds smashing, Ms. Chelsea! Let's not keep Mr. Thundy waiting, then." Mayor White decides to put on a gold suit jacket before leaving with her. Something that hopefully isn't too flashy.

"I've just been checking on as many ponies as possible. Seems Trilby is fine now, and he's reconnecting with Shadow Trail and Keen Fan. I got to see Pencil's art museum, and Chelsea went to check on Mayor White last time I saw her. Now that I've checked on you two, I can give you both your privacy back. Though I must know... Dynamo, do you still have the Laronde Box and the town's history book? I'd like to get that back, if that's okay." Samurai explains. Then he hears Dynamo's question. He rubs his chin and thinks about it. "I think I know the cafe you're speaking of... Do you have a map? If not, I can always give you basic directions. You probably don't want me to tag along."

"It seems as if you've been busy since we've left the hospital. Glad to know that you're checking up on everyone and hopefully everyone is okay. Especially after everything that happened during the whole war for Friendshire." Dynamo explained, while trying not to recall such troubling memories he and the others had gone through. "It's relieving to hear that Trilby is fine and that he's reconnecting with Shadow. I think I remember Keen Fan, but I don't think I know her fully. I think Keen was with the group at the hospital when we went to visit Bluebell after the kart race. It's been a while, but I don't think I ever got the chance to talk to them." He tried to recall any sort of memories, but he was drawing a blank. Shaking his head, he decided to let the subject go for the time being. He still smiled and nodded at how everyone else was doing, before his eyes widened at the mention of the Laronde Box. "Oh, that's right!" He began to furiously dig through his saddlebag, while making sure not to damage the prizes he and Bluebell had won through the carnival. It took him a moment, before he eventually pulled the box in question out for the asian pony. "Here we are. I was going to give it to you when we all stayed over last night, but we all rushed out pretty quickly. I held onto it for safe keeping in case we ran into each other. I guess with everything that happened to Trilby, I nearly forgot about the box. Here you go and sorry about that, Sam." He levitated the box to Samurai, while having an apologetic look upon his face. "Unfortunately, I don't believe we have a map. Basic directions would be nice, of course. If that's okay, that is."
