Kronos was watching the fight of Daring Decor/Beryl versus the heroes with hype and excitement. A double boss battle, like Smauf and Orenstien, though not as flashy nor difficult looking. Still, he would certainly enjoy watching either side getting absolutely pulverized.

“Hahaha,” he chuckled with popcorn in his mouth, “Let’s get this fight going. Whooo!!!!” He then tossed some food to his animals who then ravaged their morsels.

“If those heroes choose to bring Daring along for some reason,” Kronos told himself while petting one of his animals, “I’ll certainly enjoy crushing him in particular. Nevertheless, they’re proving to be quite the capable and competent combatants. Hmm, perhaps there’s a use for all this gold after all.”

He proceeded to melt the gold to turn into gold plating for his elite units, heavily armored spider bots equipped with motion sensors and light-caliber machine guns. He also retrofitted his other, much bigger and meaner cyber animals with gold as well, including a chimera, a hydra, and varying giant armored crustaceans.

In Level 2,
No one wanted healing, so Trilby nods and decides to hold off for now. He keeps his distance, but sees what Dynamo and Thundy are doing. He can't make that attack any more powerful, but he can make if more effective. With a wave, he casts a spell of divine intervention. The result? Daring Decor's movements will now become slower. He won't be able to avoid whatever comes next.

However, that doesn't seem to matter. Slowing down only makes the Black Knight reveal a move all bosses can do, if need be. He throws his sword at Thundy and Dynamo's combined attack, sacrificing it. Because the weapon took the blow, the power behind the attack is lessened. Daring Decor and Beryl will both only receive 14% damage at best, bring Daring Decor's total damage to 45%. Not quite half, but almost there.

The Black Knight switches back to his flail since his third phase hasn't been unlocked yet. And this time, instead of swinging at the bridge, he swings at the heroes. "WATCH OUT!" Trilby takes a leap forward to protect his crew and gets hit pretty hard by the flail. Trilby's total damage is now 24%. At the very least, it will give the others a chance to evade getting hit.

In the skybound city,
"!! Water dragon? On second thought..." Elusive Facts pairs up with Chelsea. "Thanks for the lift, Ms. Chelsea. You really are a water wonder! Okay, everyone~! Let's go back down." Elusive gladly hops aboard the water dragon as soon as Chelsea summons it. Everyone else will find their own natural way down.

“Yeah, let’s go!” Pencil exclaimed.

Hopping on her bear, she descended slowly towards the ground. Pencil clung to the bear’s fur to ignore the fact that they were in the air, even though a fall in this world would not be fatal. The bear sensed Pencil’s tense demeanor and huffed, but opted to fly a little more carefully anyways.

When Pencil finally made it on the ground, she slid off the bear and gave it a gentle pat. The bear accepted it then took a moment to wander around for a bit. Pencil looked up to see how far along everyone else was. She hoped everyone was fairing well in the sky. Of course, if anyone needed any help, she was glad to offer it.

Seir "Seer" Greymoon, a light grey unicorn stallion with a scabbard strapped to his side would trot up to the entrance of the town. He would look at the chaos that was ensuing inside of it and raise an eyebrow "Interesting events happening" he would say, seeming to himself as he would then start to shiver a little.

An old green earth pony stallion walks towards Seir with a concerned look on his face.

"Are you cold?" he asks.

"Dang it...wish Chelsea was here..." Thundy said out loud as he dodged the flailing Spike saw. "Hey Dynamo, I wonder if you have any healing abilities." He said as he summoned some mortar men, 4 to be exact. Thundy hoped that he would be able to hit both the Black Knight and Beryl. He knew that if Beryl wasn't taken care of, she'd perform another one of those manipulations to the playfield. "Clear the way everyone!" Thundy called out as the mortar men lined up, prepping the mortars.

Chelsea signaled her water dragon to fly down. It gently and gracefully took the skies, making a sort of S movement down towards the ground. "So, where do we go next after this?" Chelsea asked Elusive.

Seir would look at the other pony "Not really, it's.. a side effect of a condition I have" he'd say, not really wanting to go into too much detail "So, any idea just what in Tartarus is going on here?" he'd ask the other pony.

Seir nods "Yes, very strong magic, but some kind of game? Like a puzzle or?" he'd begin to scout the area surrounding the town, he'd then look to the other pony "I think I'll step in, could use a good distraction" he'd say "wish me luck" he'd then step inside of the town.

Thundy moved out of the way, and also clashed his two swords together, adding a charge to the water since water conducts electricity. The conduction bonus would be determined by a dice roll, the two numbers multiplied to get the percent bonus. Sadly, the bonus was only 9%. "Dang it...was wanting more than that..." Thundy stated. He summoned 4 riot control personnel, who held flashbangs that would blind/stun anyone who was close to the explosion for a few seconds.

Dynamo looked towards Thundy, who began charging his swords with electricity. He narrowed his eyes slightly, while the griffon rolled the dice. "Thundy! What are you doing!? I said that I needed you and the others to get out of the way. I'm about to start up my next phase of my idea." He huffed as he was beginning to feel frustrated. He held a hoof over his eyes as a bright flath of light had occurred. It was most likely due to the flash-bang's that were thrown. He made sure to stay back so as to not be in the crossfire.

"Funya!"

Pastel flops back like a squeaky toy, anime esque swirls in her eyes from the hit. Thankfully it wasn't a real sword or she'd be a Pastel salami sandwich. She took more damage than usual due to her low defense stat. She was gonna hang back a bit until an opening presented itself, but...

@Dynamo Pad

Upon hearing his call, Pastel quickly put all of her energy into a swift dash to the left. Seemingly, Pastel leaped straight off the bridge to her demise... But she was actually hanging like a spider to the bottom of the bridge via her daggers. What she had planned was anyponys guess.

As he looked to where Pastel was, Dynamo gasped in shock as the young mare made a leap off of the bridge. "Pastel! Don't do anything reckless!" He exclaimed, his heart racing in fear. It didn't help that she had taken damage earlier from Daring's last attack. He whole body began to shake with fear as she wasn't appearing in front of them. He didn't even know if she was invisible due to her class ability. "P-Pastel-chan..." He felt his eyes beginning to sting as he felt he had lost her. He wasn't sure if this was a part of a plan or not, but he still felt visibly upset.

The gaming unicorn was lost in thought, that he didn't realize what was currently happening. His ears perked slightly as he heard Trilby's warning. The unicorn slowly look over to see an incoming attack by Darin's flail. Only for it to be blocked as Trilby intercepted the strike. Dynamo blinked in surprise as so much was happening all at once. "No! Trilby!" Even with everything going on, Trilby still defended them. A cleric was mostly someone who stood back to support their team, but Trilby made a daring sacrifice to save everyone.

Fortunately for Pastel, she was able to hang to the bottom of the bridge and avoid the attack. Her plan was not to dodge, but rather, go towards the attack.

She charged, jumping over Trilby as he took damage and struck at the chain of the Black Knights flail, hoping to make the knight essentially useless

All Dynamo could do was grit his teeth in anger and frustration. He lowered his face that his mane was covering his eyes. Slumping to the ground in defeat, Dynamo felt that there was nothing he could do. His attacks were getting disrupted and some of the ideas he had were not working. 'What do I do? Anything I try isn't working and we're getting crushed over here.' He thought, feeling frustrated at his weakness and/or helplessness. He heard Thundy's response, but he gave a slight scoff with a shake of his head. "That's easier said than done, Thundy." He muttered softly to himself. He looked towards his front hooves, wishing he had a weapon that would help save them. "If only..." He started, before imagining the kind of power-up or weapons he could have. "I-I wish...I had the keyblade. That's one of the only things that could help me right now. I can't just forge it into being. What is it? A flick of the wrist, or being chosen?" He continued to mutter to himself, before a sudden thought came to his mind. Lifting his front right hoof off of the ground. The unicorn closed his eyes and hoped that a miracle would happen. 'Please. I just need to save my friends. I-I can't lose them. Not now. N-Not like this..."

Without warning, a sudden light filled the area. A bright flash had occurred and within his hoof, a blade had appeared. Opening his eyes slowly, Dynamo was met with a shocking sight. A silver like key with five sharp teeth at the end. At the hilt, were wings with a keychain at the end. The keychain attached to the key looked to be a star shaped fruit. "O-Oathkeeper?" He stuttered out, while wondering if this was a dream. He blinked as the monocle he had over his eye soon came to life. Scanning the weapon to confirm that it was indeed the Oathkeeper Keyblade. "I-I got the keyblade, b-but how? This isn't a part of my character class." The monocle also took note of his teammates. Each one in their respective spots in the battlefield. Seeing Pastel's energy signature, Dynamo looked up to give a sigh of relief. "P-Pastel-chan. S-She's alive." He placed his left front hoof over his chest. Feeling more tears escape from his eyes, but they were tears of relief. "Thank goodness." Wiping away any stray tears, Dynamo stood back up on his hooves. "Okay. Time to turn this around." Remembering the griffon's remark, Dynamo went towards Trilby, who was still damaged from taking the attack head on.

"Just hang in there, Trilby. I might have an idea." Levitating the keyblade in a levitation spell, he soon pointed the keyblade towards the cleric. Dynamo soon concentrated as he recalled the spells that were used in the games. "Heal!" He called out, while hoping the spell would work in restoring Trilby's health. It would seem like a waste to use a turn to heal someone. However, Dynamo wanted to use this turn as a test. If it worked, then he would have a better way to fight Daring and Beryl.

In Level 2,
It's true. Dynamo desperately begged for a miracle, and for some reason, the game gave it to him!
Even Trilby was beside himself when this happened. It's like Dynamo just rewrote the rules of the game right before their eyes! "Is that weapon even a thing in this game?" Trilby asks. Guess it is now!
As soon as Dynamo uses it though, it is done in a very selfless way. "? Wait, Dynamo, no--!" Too late, Dynamo healed him. Trilby stands. "Oh Dynamo, I wish I had known you were going to do that. I was only partially damaged, I didn't need to be healed!" But Trilby pats Dynamo's shoulder. "Still, thank you for caring." Trilby says. At least one team mate stayed by his side when he fell.

Pastel and Thundy, meanwhile, somehow stumbled into a crazy level of synchronicity. Pastel was able to damage the chains on the Black Knight's flail, disarming it and getting out of the way just in time for Thundy's mortar rounds to hit him. This one-two attack combo left Daring Decor unarmed and unable to defend himself from another round of damage, bringing his total damage to 68%. Beryl takes damage too.
...
The Black Knight's visor grows red. Steam shoots out of his helmet like a steam engine! "All troops, TO ARMS!" With a raise of his hand, the field is suddenly flooded with dozens of archers. The same ones from earlier in this level. Lowering his hand makes the archers shoot a concentrated storm of arrows upwards. They fly up, arch, and begin to fly down towards our heroes. This is it! The Black Knight's final desperation move! It's his phase three! At this point, it's either lose or win. And each arrow will equal 5% damage, so watch your step.

Seeing Daring getting desperate, Trilby knows what he has to do. Before a single arrow can come down, he casts a healing spell of his own. Dynamo, Thundy, and Pastel are all back to 100% health. He looks over at Dynamo and nods. "Give it your all. I'm counting on everyone. BUM RUSH THE KNIGHT!!" Trilby cries out.

In the skybound city,
What a way to fly! Elusive hangs on to the water dragon as the leave the city. "This looked so much more fun in all those fantasy cartoons~!" Elusive comments as the water dragon zig zags across the sky.

But soon, they were on the ground once more. It's true, descending really is faster than ascending. They are back at the crossroads between the Nature Biome and the Sand Biome. Elusive gets off the dragon and takes a moment to get her bearings. The dragon made her dizzy! "Ooh... If our timing is right, the Battle Team is almost done with their level. Level 3 is in the Desert Biome, but it won't matter if everyone wants to use the prize to skip it." Elusive says.

@Cinnamon Coffee, @PawelS

Outside Friendshire,
However, before Seir could take that final step into Friendshire, something stops him. Clairvoyance. A vision in his eye! There is an electricity box somewhere just on the border of the town. If he can find it and trip the box, the spell surrounding the town will weaken. It won't go away, but it'll set a lot of citizens free, and the spell itself will be a bit more self-contained.

Kronos spat out his food in surprise as one of the heroes seemingly pulled a Deus Ex Machina McGuffin out of nowhere. This looked like it was gonna become an issue that he’ll have to mitigate in the upcoming future. He threw his food aside in frustration as he had to make more preparations. He went to work on some sort of distortion field that negated such effects from happening. Kronos was truly becoming insane, even in his most stable mental state. He laughed maniacally as he tested out his new contraption. He tried to snap his fingers in an attempt to spawn anything. Nothing. He snapped a few more times, which would usually work since this is his domain, but nothing. As he laughed like a mad genius, his head twitched and sparked as he clocked his brain into overdrive for this to work.

He looked outside his window from his command center and taunted, “COME ON THEN, HEROES!!! COME AND TRY TO GET ME NEXT!!! LIKE I SAID, YOU’LL NEVER GET TO THE DARK KING!! YOU HEAR ME!? NEVER!!! AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!”

Pencil circled her hooves around each other anxiously. She wanted to use the skip reward but she also wanted to catch up with the battle team. She was unsure what to do for a while, so she decided to check on her creatures for the time being. She trotted over to them while there was a break in conversation between the group.

Pencil noticed something rather odd when she approached her three creatures. They didn’t seem to notice her presence nor did they respond to any of her commands. Pencil felt concerned and frustrated as she continuously failed to get the attention of the animals. They began to wander away, which made Pencil a little sad at this point. It was only then when remembered the creatures she made back in Level 1.

Oh, right. These creatures can only be used in one level Pencil concluded to herself.

Dynamo had already casted the spell before Trilby had told him not to. However, the blue unicorn knew he was doing the right thing. "I'm sorry about using that healing spell like that. However, I wanted to see if this weapon was the real deal or not." He explained, holding his keyblade in front of the cleric unicorn. "I don't know if there are any healing spells in Equestria, but there are healing spells in video games. I know that whatever kind of world this game is. This weapon is from a different game series. I don't know how or why, but I just knew one thing. I wanted something that could help us out of this situation." He would say, nodding as he took Trilby's explanation into consideration. "While that may be true, I still wanted to make sure the spell worked. Not only that, but I wanted to help heal you up. You jumped into the line of fire when we were getting caught off guard. There was so much going on that I should have tried to defend myself." He smiled as he felt that pat on his back, before shaking his head. "You're welcome, but it's no problem. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I can't and won't just leave a friend behind. So, I'm not going to let you, Pastel-chan and the others hanging."

His attention was soon brought back towards Daring and Beryl. The former's viser going red. Dynamo had assumed that the destruction of his flail, as well as the mortar rounds damaging the knight was too much for him. "So, they were the ones who summoned those archers from earlier. It makes me wonder if they summoned those rocs to boot." He wondered as multiple archers were summoned to take their aim. He wasn't sure if this was the knight's phase 3, but he knew they had to keep up the battle. He felt a sudden aura of magic envelop him, before his health was instantly restored. "Thanks, Trilby. I have a way to keep us safe and end this battle, but I need you to stay close to me." He explained, before looking towards Pastel and Thundy. "Hey, guys! Hurry over towards me and stay close! I have a way that we can take out those archers. After that, then I'm finishing this Knight. Just don't do anything reckless and please, trust me!" He exclaimed, while hoping Pastel and Thundy would hurry over towards him. He knew The Black Knight would think twice when it came to messing with him and his team.

Dynamo, who saw Thundy had drawn his blades and charged them with electricity, looked to the griffon. "Just keep your weapon charged and wait until Pastel-chan and Trilby are with me in position. Same goes for you as I don't want anyone to get caught in the crossfire. I have a way to get rid of all of these archers, whittle down Daring's HP and nearly bring this to an end. I need to you to wait for my signal and trust me." He gave the griffon a serious expression. Almost as if asking him to try and go against his plan. He knew Pastel was agile, Thundy had the support to take down the archers, as well as Trilby, who could give them enchantments and/or defensive support. However, he knew the kind of spell that would knock out two birds with one stone. All the while, being able to concentrate their attacks on their intended target.

Thundy sighed to himself. He knew that it would take more than just Dynamo's plan to take down the Black Knight. He also knew that Beryl could disrupt an attack with her magic, which could cause the plan to fail. He was a little upset inside, and was showing it just a little, especially since Dynamo got on him for the extra attack he put on to the stream of water that he summoned.

Pastels character slipped a bit, maybe she was actually nervous after that near spill. As if she was quoting something, she shouted...

"Now is our chance for an all out attack!!"

And in doing so charging forward with her allies. With HP not a concern, she charged in with her daggers like a rapid cat, slashing wildly with no particular strategy.

"When you put it that way, then it seems to me that you're a lucky cat." Dynamo responded, taking note of moments where Pastel would sit on his back like a cat would, or any pet for that matter. However, he knew that Pastel wasn't a pet, but a pony. His jaw dropped slightly as Pastel didn't stay close, but instead, had charged forward. "Wait, Pastel! I need to enact my plan in order for us to charge forward!" He held out his front right hoof, before said hoof fell back towards the ground. With a sigh, he shook his head with a small smile. "Oh, well. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Pastel-chan is just being herself. I can't stop her all the time, but then that's why I like how she's true to herself." He spoke out loud, but it was more towards himself.

Looking towards Thundy, Dynamo took notice of the somewhat upset expression on the griffon's face. Remember what he had said before, Dynamo gave a frown as he felt terrible for how he acted. He felt that he and Thundy acted differently in terms of plans, but he felt they at least shared a common goal in completing this game. Along with finally returning home to Friendshire with everyone else. "Hey, Thundy?" He asks, hoping to gain the griffon's attention. With a heavy sigh, he began to speak once more. "Please, listen. I'm really sorry, okay? I didn't mean to flip out like that or give orders. However, I hope we can talk about this more after we get through this boss. I can't do this without you and the others help. We need to work as a team, but it looks like the plan has changed a bit. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm about to send all of those arrows back. Along with a bit of debris going their way. Think you can cover Pastel-chan so she doesn't take damage?"

Thundy slowly looked at Dynamo, still a little hurt. He felt like clashing his two supercharged swords together, but at the voltage they were at, everyone would take damage, yes, even Thundy himself. He let out a pulse...and ended up releasing two duplicates of himself, weaker than the actual Thundy. If either one took a blow, it would disappear. Thundy pointed over to Pastel, and the two duplicates went to cover him. Unfortunately, even though Dynamo wanted him to respond, he opted to just stay silent. He then turned and faced the Black Knight once more, feeling drained after summoning the duplicates. All his attacks were cut by 25%, and would take 3 turns to recover fully.

Dynamo was concerned as he didn't receive an answer from the griffon. Was what he asked from Thundy too extreme? Did Thundy hate Dynamo for how he was behaving? Multiple questions were bouncing within his mind as he was worried. However, it seemed he was given the answer in the form of Thundy, who had summoned duplicates of himself. While he still didn't receive an verbal response, Dynamo opted to just accept what he was given and continue. He just hoped that he and the griffon could talk things out after this was over. The arrows were about to be launched and they were running out of time. Spinning his keyblade in the air, he suddenly slammed the blade into the ground as he magic began to charge. 'Please let this work.' He thought, before uttering the necessary phrase. "Defense and reflect!" Dynamo soon summoned up a barrier of light that surrounded the real Thundy and Trilby. Pastel, on the other hoof was still charging forward from the looks of things. He hoped that Thundy's clones would be able to defend her. If the arrow's hit the shield, then the attacks would be blocked. However, the barrier would then shatter on impact. Resulting in the barrier turning into shards of light that would be sent flying back. Along with the arrows towards the archers in the hopes of taking them down.

Thundy crossed his two swords in an X, letting out some of the energy. This added more energy to the shield but the strength of the shield itself still remained the same. Upon it's breakage, the shards of the shield would do slightly more damage, about 10% more. It would've been greater if Thundy hadn't summoned the 2 duplicates of himself. Thundy was looking slightly depleted on energy. The emotional aspect of things shifted his mood, especially with all the rhythm that they had been going on, up until that moment. Thundy did hear Dynamo's apology earlier.

Level 3 is in the Nature Biome, but it won't matter if everyone wants to use the prize to skip it." Elusive says.

Tree Song descends from the sky with the rest of the group. She really enjoys flying using her angel wings! The landing doesn't go too well though, as she still doesn't have much practice. Once everyone is on the ground, there is a discussion whether to skip the next level or not.

"I don't want to skip it" she says. "I love nature! If there are more levels after that, we can still use this thing to skip one of them, right? So, I'd prefer to play this one, unless everypony else wants to skip it, in that case I won't stand in the way."

"I'd say we give the skipper to the battle team. Besides, we most likely would be all together for the final boss fight..." Chelsea stated as her water dragon rested by her side. "Besides, these level will drop other rewards, and they may be just as useful." Chelsea added.

@PawelS

Pencil gasps to herself as Tree Song stumbles upon the ground. Pencil trots over to her to see if she is okay. Cautiously, she asks,

“Are you okay there? You, uh, need any help?”

@C. Thunder Dash

Pencil turned to Chelsea for a quick moment. She nodded in agreement with what she had to say. The battle team would definitely need the skip item more and who knows what other, better items her own team could find.

“I agree with you, Chelsea. The battle team probably could use the skip more than us. Only question is, where do we find them? I wanna give this to them before it’s too late for them to use it,” she said.
