Soo what do people think? Also have people backed up old mlp flash games and things like pony creators?

Well, I'm not too worried. I have this image backed up and most of the fan art of Will Guide I got I usually requested other more qualified people to make it for me. I have all the images backed up and I even made sure to give everybody the proper credit. 

Although I seem to have lost contact with the artist who made my original cutie mark... I don't think I'll ever be able to meet her face-to-face again. Don't remember exactly the name I would give her to give her credit for drawing my Cutie Mark. It was back in late 2014 but no later than early 2015 when she made it for me.

Flash will be with us until people stop using it. Same was true for Windows XP.

Sometimes the companies use tricks to say that now when it is not supported anymore, you will get all kinda of security problems and viruses. Well, not true. People that make viruses will not stay on a dead platform. They go to the most popular one.

Dead platforms are not attractive for security breaches. I would be more worried about viruses on html5 than on flash.

Those "we won't support X any longer" moves are what we call planned obsolescence. It's a blight for end-users in electronics and software industries, but the bless for the industries themselves. And it has been agreed by all the companies within to make profit. That's why each day software is less optimized and there are huge RAM leaks everywhere which becomes noticeable when you compare the endurance using the same program but of different versions (like any photoshop or even google chrome or mozilla firefox).

It's outrageous that a dumb web browser eats up to 1 gb of ram with 2 or 3 tabs open. Is a web browser, it theorically should only display the text and multimedia from the source file -which won't go pass a mb when someone really makes a huuuuuuge page-, and usually the multimedia doesn't take up more than a couple hundreds of mb in execution!

I think some of the private club penguin servers are working in html5 versions. Or I heard. There was already one rough version in html5.

I really hope someone comes up with a replacement program for using old Flash files... I don't use Flash much these days, but it's a shame thinking about all the content that would essentially be lost – games, animations, even entire websites. A lot of content can of course be saved (short videos and simple games), but I wonder if anything can be done with the more complex stuff...

Most likely. If you can download whatever file in a swf format, you can use any shockwave players for the task. The problem is with things that download stuff mid game, like the secret ending for super filly adventure, or the games which use space bar for their commands (almos all of them). I guess there must be someway to configure the players.

I remember when Macromedia Flash was new. I read about it in a computer magazine and though, wow vector graphics animation for the Internet? That's rally cool. So sad it is left to die like this

It's really sad that flash is being left to die, and maybe someone should make a browser for flash (cause using IE is a horrifying concept)

Oh wow, that’s the end of an era. I remember when I used to spend hours and hours on Newgrounds exploring all the different Flash games and animations.
