I do hope we'll get more eyes on this RP, to refill some of the spots that have left, but seeing how you are setting up the below, and yet, I have none of the ones I use, that would realistically go there, I would like to ask if you'd like having one?

Could well just say that it were one, that were picked up on a previous trip, and have been busy doing other things. Or recover after a previous engagement. I have a lot of OC's. I can find one, abnormal, or fairly normal, depending on your preference, without much bother, and present the here.

I wouldn't mind say, dropping Maud and Trixie from the RP. I feel as if my way of playing them is not as convincing / as engaging from my end. I would be fine with playing them at important moments if needed, and we can come up with things for them along the way. As for Spiral, I would say she would be my main character in this.

Am also thinking of possible new characters for this. I have a few ideas, mainly looking to play as a ponysona of mine that I recently came up with, but I have no backstory, pictures, or anything like that for that character yet.

Sorry for not indicating things when I were writing the last post. Was a bit rushed. I'll sort it next time around. :)

As for a new char... I'll do some thinking, then come back to ya on that one.

@Kujamih

Any intentional damage to the project is treated with the utmost importance, that's why the guards were so motivated to capture the first two that tried to damage the pipeworks. In the eyes of the project, anyone who would intentionally damage the project is dangerous. Besides, carelessness is not a trait they want on an important forward expedition. If you want to get down there, you need to prove that you're capable and competent. They won't risk sending you down otherwise.

Last Stand, age 24.

Grown up as part of a group calling themselves the Shrine Maidens. A group formed by their descendants, some thousand years past, of the most fanatical loyalists, to Princess Luna. The sort who would do anything their princess wished for them, no matter how morally reprehensible, or how others looked at them.

The name Shrine Maidens came about, because they were tasked a few years before Luna went Nightmare Moon, to guard something for her, far off the grid, in a valley not on the maps. It were centered in the sealed box, in the middle of the temple they were presented with, and they were told that nopony - even their own - were ever to lay eyes upon what was inside of it.

And so, nopony did. For a thousand years, them and their descendants, fought the various monsters of the valley, and traitors that had lost faith, to keep the vault closed. Their ranks and gene pool at times, replenished by random travelers or exiles, that fell upon the dangerous valley, and were given shelter in their walls, under conditioning of being useful.

Last was born into what would be the final generation of Shrine Maidens in service, and have known violence since the day she could walk. Friends and foes alike, have died around her, yet she remained faithful. She did not question what they guarded, nor why they suffered for this. Tradition held true, and she grew up as fanatically loyal to the throne of night, as any of them.

Princess Luna showed up a few months before the crisis, and would officially dismiss them from duty, saying they had done their job well. And while all were thankful to see her, and hear they had done well, only a few were happy to be let go. With fighting and this valley being all they knew, the majority of them had a hard time trying to fit into Equestrian society. Most trying for guard duty, to still feel like they were serving Princess Luna. Others like Last Stand, wandered aimlessly, uncertain what to do with themselves anymore, or became bounty hunters.

Far as she knows, she's the last of them. When the crisis happened, all who could raise a blade, instantly flocked towards Canterlot, to fight alongside their princess. Last would likely have been captured, and later picked up, as she wouldn't back down from fighting for the throne. Either way you look on it though, she's here now. A fanatic with violence in her veins, and no purpose left. There is no longer a princess to serve, nor an Equestria to fight for. If The Æther Project offered her a chance to fight, and gave her a purpose, she would take it, and she would die for them, as much as she would Princess Luna.

Equestrians would not like her though, if they knew much about history. The Shrine Maidens were a dark stain in their books. Unruly equines, killing others without warning, or marching on villages, tearing it apart, to look for somepony, or something, among other things. History does not remember who they blindly served. Only the princess did, though that begs the question. What, if anything, were they guarding? She does not know, nor does she care, though she becomes rather hostile, when others suggest that perhaps it were nothing, and it were just a ruse, to get those embarrassments to Luna's name, to vanish quietly, somewhere hostile, where nopony should realistically have been able to make it for that long.

Outside of fighting, she would still have issues. Like I wrote, she's a product of an upbringing in a constant warzone. She doesn't know how to be around regular equines, with more warm ways of doing things, and their smiles and hugs. Most hugs she remembers, were from close friends, before they wandered unto the battlefield, and little by little, most would die there.

Personality wise, she's direct, confrontational, and does not appear to know the concept of joy, as she never smiles. She is either neutral, growling, or have a scowl on her face. The scowl more often than not, and she treats most like they are soldiers. Even if she did have friends at The Æther, she'd be hard and strict with them, as well as keep them at leg's length, to not get too attached. She's not used to getting close to others in that way, as her mindset have long been, that they may well die the very same day.

She's the sort that demands respect on a battlefield, by her presence, but she won't challenge leadership, if they earned her respect. She's a soldier, and will obey reasonable orders, if given them. Just don't expect her to be a big hoot at parties, as her idea of fun, is sharpening her sword, and brawling. Plus she doesn't drink. She thinks it clouds the senses, and she is vehemently refusing to lower her guard like that.

So yeah, here she is. A fanatic soldier, with issues fitting into a softer, kinder environment, and likely alone, due to it. Earn her respect, and she's as loyal as can be. Somehow become close, and she will guard you with her life. If she were called upon to investigate below, she would gear up instantly.

@Blitz Boom

Yeah, I can think of a few good places to put them. If you want to get into the action immediately we can say that she was part of the other group that went down with Spiral, the one tasked with disabling the magical defenses that attacked the craft carrying them down. If that doesn't appeal to you, where do you think she should start?

@Illiad Easle

We can have her there, if that suits your fancy. I'd just need to brush up on what happened down there.

Otherwise, we could always go that she were injured in another fight, a few days ago or something, and had been in the med bay for a checkup. Needing to get back, and get her weapons and armor, under protests from the doctors, could've made her miss the first wave, but she'd be ready now. With a pounding ache in the wound down her side, but it'd at worst make her irritable. So not the biggest difference.

Just off of the top of my head.

I'm flexible, so whatever works for ya. .) I can imagine you'd want what were already set up, to be moving along though, yeah?

@Kujamih

Hey, could you stop posting in the main thread until we figure this out? Fixing the hole isn't going to change that fact that those in charge will consider Light as reckless and as such not to be trusted with anything important. Pulling a stunt like that will guarantee that he never gets sent on important missions or given important assignments.

I don't think that you want that, which is why I gave you the opportunity to reconsider your actions. I'm sorry for trying to take the easy path by asking you to go back and read what Spiral was asked to do in order to save myself the trouble of going back and reading it to tell you the scene again, but just doing whatever you feel like instead of reviewing makes me think that you don't care all that much about the story or where it's going.

Let's step your character back a pace, with your permission I'll have your last two posts removed and you can post like nothing happened, I'll edit my post to include the information I asked you to review so that you don't have to go looking for it, and then Light can get his opportunity to go down in the second wave. Unless you don't want Light to go down there? If you think I'm trying to steer your character a direction that you don't want to go down, please tell me so that I can make the proper adjustments, I want you to enjoy this story as much as I do.

@Blitz Boom

I'll post a review of what she's seen thus far, though I like your idea of her being delayed to go on the second group, that would allow her to go down with Light if @Kujamih still wants light to go down.

Again I'm just doing what I think Light would do though? He is a interdimensional police or something... So he's kinda itching for some action and quickly fix this worlds problem... So I thought he'd do something impressive. I mean puncturing metal is impressive and then able to fix it is neat, he might end up at the construction site or demolition. OR a secret weapon for infiltration or something...

And the last part wasme trying to fix the situation? Which still dosn't work I guess?

Ayt we'll re do

@Kujamih

The problem is that he wasn't asked to do something impressive, he was asked to prove his competency in regards to ancient Equestria, and his capability to dodge traps and navigate difficult terrain. Which you didn't know because I was too lazy to tell you.

Also it seems they removed the ability to delete posts, we'd have to get an admin to remove them. I'll just put the new info in my next post, we'll pretend your last two posts didn't happen, and we'll go from there with Last Stand arriving just as Light is about to demonstrate his abilities on the obstacle course. Does that sound fair?

@Illiad Easle

Her name is Antares. Pegsaus mare. Deeply dedicated to her beliefs, fueled with an intense and inner rage against the state of the world, it comes out through intense physical activities, of vigor, speed, or just blowing off steam amongst the clouds, looking down on all those below in their stuck up, academic, and sheepish ways. Jet white coat, red mane that fades to a maroon with deep blue eyes. Likely would be some sort of guard. Positive traits would be creative, independent, free spirited, and hopeful - yet also deeply obsessive, intensely paranoid, curious, and sometimes prone to manipulation.

Cutie mark would be the two stars of the Antares system. The large supergiant (main star), and them smaller Blue one. Both of which are larger than the Sun. Antares in real life, essentially has 100,000x the brightness of the sun while being 12 times the mass. It's radius pulsates slowly, and its actual brightness changes along with it. The smaller star, is around 7 times the mass of the sun, so still quite large, and very blue.

She probably has been on the project for quite sometime. She has nothing left to lose, really. We can say she doesn't know the fate of what her family was. Physical description is just to provide a rough estimate. Sometime, I'll have someone draw her.

Her magic only ability is to manipulate lightning, often fueled by her emotions to cause lightning strikes that are red.

Per manipulating lightning, how does that work exactly? Is she simply skilled at aiming it when sending it out of a cloud? Or can she just call in lightning whenever/wherever she wants?

Per her history, is she Equestrian? Trojan? From somewhere else?

How does her mark relate to who she is? I don't think I understand what her mark means in regards to her.

I imagine she needs to manipulate or create clouds in order to perform her lightning magic, she can't just create it out of nowhere. What is Trojan, in your eyes? I never thought of something like that. As for her mark, I don't know, if you can think of anything better I'd be glad to hear it.

Trojan is to say they come from one of the Trojan cities, like Troy, Deltrot, Alphyns, etc. or are sympathetic towards Trojan ideals over Equestrian ones. For instance, Trojans put a strong emphasis on self reliance while Equestrians emphasize herd unity. Trojans believe in collective rule, that everyone's input can be useful, while Equestrians prefer centralized leadership that is not to be questioned.

If you want to play your character as a Trojan we'd need to get into deeper cultural details, but I think you'd prefer to come from elsewhere if you're disinclined towards learning Trojan customs. That way you can just give her whatever cultural identity you want.

As to her mark, given her talent appears to be in lightning manipulation, and she has a somewhat thorny or vengeful personality, I imagine a cloud encircled by red lighting, or something similar.

Still, the mark is up to you, and ultimately irrelevant to the story outside of maybe the story of how she got it. Her history, and by extension cultural customs, give me insight as to where she might fit in best in the Project, what sort of creatures she'd already know or not, and what sort would try to get close vs try to stay away.

@Illiad Easle

The ideals of the Trojans are compatible with my own. I believe in self reliance and that everyone should learn on their own rather than be taught the way things are, in a sense. Like me, she would have a strong distrust of the Equestrian monarchs and any centralized leadership in general. She believes that things should be decentralized, and sees the idea of a centralized leadership without question with extreme contempt. Everything must be analyzed, understood, and questioned, she has a deep disdain for any religious undertones and prefers to think with logic and science. Although while she may believe these things, she's likely kept a tight lock and key on her true thoughts, and may intend on even breaking some of her original beliefs if in her eyes - it can help others and bring ponies out of a mess.

Before everything with Discord, I imagine she was a lot calmer of a pony with a turbulent youth, but after getting out of school she found something to do independently and really mellowed out. She would be the type of pony to be fine with remaining in the background while she goes off to do the things she considers important for her life. Probably exploration and such. I like to imagine that with her family, she doesn't know what had happened to them - perhaps she had to leave her family home behind due to some sort of war or invasion, and contact was lost with her family. She doesn't know if they are dead or alive, but after that, she would have wanted to fly beyond the borders of Equestria itself to find refuge.

I can imagine she got her cutie mark when finally standing up to her foalhood bullies and overpowering them, and giving them a beatdown for bothering her. She is one to do that if someone gets on her nerves and if she has the ability to do so. In my own dreams, I often take the role of a prophetic bringer of truth, and revealing lies to others.

Her talent is lightning manipulation but also foresight, and seeing what is wrong with affairs in leadership. I also imagine she was also a bit of a writer too when she had the time, so you can bet that she has the ability to write and express herself in an intelligent manner. Perhaps that will give you more of an idea.

Her main desire is the desire for her own freedom. She may not even like being onboard the Project, and would have ideally went somewhere far beyond the borders of Equestria, but knowing how dangerous everything is, she's threw in her towel with the project in hopes for her long term survival. Perhaps she could inspire others to search for truth in their own ways, may be they already have.

Fact of the matter is, she feels as though she has nothing left to lose. What does she hate most? Leaders who lie, and ones who follow them. She wants truth and justice.
