music Parts of songs that make you especially emotional

If you love music, there's going to be songs that hit you emotionally for whatever reason. What about particular moments of songs? Ones that hit even harder for you within the song itself. Does anyone else have things like that?

This is one example for me, the one that inspired the topic for me. The particular moment is the ending of the track, starting at 6:53. The entire song is wonderful and hits many emotional beats for me, but the ending in particular hits harder.

Absolutely. Not only in a sad way, but in many emotions, ranging from wanting to dance, to feeling love.

As a music composer, I like to find such moments, and try to understand why they awake said emotions.

I think one of those great moments for me was watching Zoast beating the world record of Super Metroid live, and he played my friend's music Fluvial Beat Deposits over the end credits of the game:

I had to tell my friend about it (who knew nothing about speed running or Nintendo), and he went and brought a Super Nintendo after that ^_^

I can’t properly describe the emotion this gives out, but the part where the song suddenly gets slow and soft is so attention-grabbing. It makes the listener feel calm and it tells them to relax despite the chaos and cruelty of the world surrounding them. I don’t think I’ve ever found another song like this that tells you to just breathe, even from the heavy lyrics and composition itself.

Give her my soul
And let them take somebody else, get away from me

She went down to her little boat
And she broke the chains and began to float away
And as the blood froze in her veins she said,
'Well then that explains a thing or two
'Cause I know I'm the cursed one
I know I'm meant to die
Everyone else can watch as their dreams untie
So why can't I

If I never were born
If I never died
Would it even matter at all?
What should I decide?
I always imagined I'd mean something to someone
If I won't, 'least I tried

One of the most powerful songs ever written. It moves me to tears almost every time I hear it.

This part really gets to me.

"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

There are so many songs that convey such emotion for me. I'd have a gigantic list to be honest. As a listener of Christian music, I can say that there are some parts of songs that hit hard for me, like this part of "The Blessing" (start at 2:13)

Also, this one also gets me emotional because it reminds me of the last few moments of life...

This next one almost makes me cry every time because it was the song I sang to my sweet dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge... :(
