And I don't mean in a "so bad it's good" way, I mean you legitimately liked it and had a great time with it

For me it's the 2017 Power Rangers movie. I remember being sooooo down on this movie before released, I hated the Ranger suits used, I hated the way Goldar looked, I hated how Alpha looked, hated the Zord. I still gave the movie a chance after hearing fans saying it was a lot better than expected, however I was surprised at how much I loved it, thanks in part to such a strong cast being so likeable and having great chemistry. It really makes me sad they aren't keeping this cast due to how the movie underperformed

Leprechaun: In The Hood. I thought it was gonna be just a shitty movie about some aspiring rappers who steal a magic flute that instantly makes them famous. Yet this also awakens the wrath of the ruthless leprechaun who hides behind it.
But it unironically turned out to be one of the most thought-provoking films I have seen in my life. Up there with other masterpieces like The Godfather Series, A Clockwork Orange and Triangle. Especially the part when the leprechaun gets high and starts to rap on the true meaning of life. It just clicked with me, and everything made sense. On so many levels.
It was kind of amazing how the director managed to conceive a message so absurd, yet profound and touching.
I felt jealous, yet humbled. I felt naked before the truth. And there was no place to hide for the first time in my life.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs :eager: I was an emo little hipster kid when it came out so I thought it would be too childish, but it ended up becoming one of my favorite movies of all time!

Puss In Boots: The last Wish

Thought it was going to be a money grab made for 5 year Olds until I watched Saber Spark's review. Friend of mine invited me to go see it in Theaters, and I liked it so much that I went back a second time to watch with my girlfriend.

Hard to say since my intention after seeing the trailers are always right. When I know it’s gonna suck and after watching it,  I’m always right.

I usually only watch movies where I know what I'm getting into, usually cheesy, low budget 1980s stuff. So I'm usually not surprised. But I did watch this indie film The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. I thought it was going to push an agenda and be "one of those movies," but it was funny. I liked the characters and it was enjoyable.

For me probably the princess bride.

Now, I want to clarify that was a LONG time ago and all I knew about it was the title along with a friend's word that it was a "fantastic movie."

So, yes I know it's an awesome movie but at the time I didn't know jack about it and the Internet was dial up slow as a snail at the time so looking it up would be a slow process.

So, literally I went to watch it with the basic impression of it being a bedtime story about a guy trying to get his girlfriend back and my first thought on it was cheesy romance crap type of movie.

But I gave him my word to humor the friend thinking I'd probably watch 10 minutes in then quit.

Then I was like... Oh, this is actually really good.

When I saw the first trailer for "Nope" I thought it looked like a bad and kinda generic horror movie, wasn't too keen on the title either, but ended up loving it completely

The first Sonic movie. Even after the redesign, I still wasn't 100% on board with it until I went and actually watched it. It was decent. :P

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Megamind when it originally came out. I got to see it in theaters with my family when it released, for some reason 11 year old me thought it was going to suck. Ended up being very pleasantly surprised, it was fantastic. It was so good in fact that my Dad managed to stay awake through the entire thing. I remember him mentioning how rare that is at the end of the movie :P.
