Mane 6: Rainbow Dash, then Fluttershy. The rest are fluid, and Rarity has moved up to 4th from 6th recently.

Overall: Was Celestia for the longest time, but currently its RD, and on certain days its Luna, Vinyl, Discord, Derpy, but 60% of the time its RD

When I began the first episode, I liked Twilight the most, but when Celestia and Luna appeared, my favorites instantly changed. Celestia has been my favorite since.

I have, since the very first episode, always been strictly loyal to Rarity. When people ask my favorite pony, I say Rarity. Although Applebloom quickly took place in my list, along with Pinkie Pie remaining my No. 2 copilot since the first episode, I still remain loyal to the lovely Miss Rarity.

I did not have a favorite till i saw Twilight teleport Vs Nightmare moon.

I decided she was my favorite at the episode Boast Busters and stayed that way till now. (Pinkie has come close to beating Twi for me.)

It was always RD. At first I didn't really know all the characters, but I guess since my sister showed me RD You're Gonna Go Far Kid before I became a brony I just knew her thus liked her best. And she turned out to totally be best pony for me. Sweetie Belle's my favorite CMC for not much of a reason, I just do. My fav background pony used to be Octavia but when I started shipping Soarin' with Dash . And so I liked him more and more til he was my fav background pony. I like Derpy, but I don't LOVE her like some people do. I just have a fondness over some backgound ponies like her, DJ Pon-E, and Carrot Top and enjoyed trying to locate them.

At the start I was a huge fan of Applejack. Mostly because of her design and her voice, that was until I got to the 2nd season of the show. Twilight began to appeal more and more to me, and before I even realised it, I enjoyed watching art of her more than what I did about AJ art. Don't get me wrong though, AJ is still an amazing pony, but she just doesn't appeal to me as much as Twilight does.

Sort of. My favorites are pinkiepie and applejack but only pinkie pie was my favorite for a while. Derpy has always been my fav backround pony but now I think I like Lyra and Dj-pon-3 as good or maybe better.

Back when I was still avid in my meme research and studies, and when I was occasionally stumbling upon numerous MLP-related macros, clips, etc. (seriously, it was inevitable), I started to have a small grasp of the charcaters, and I eventually “chose” Rainbow Dash (remember this was before I became a brony, a time where I wanted to neglect the show as a whole, but I eventually caved in, of course).

 

When I first saw the first episode, I was expecting a bit different out of her character, which unfortunatelydumbed it down for me. It was almost a bit hard for her to be accepted as my favorite, which was kinda down-putting. But eventually, that factor was overturned and to this day, Dashie stays my favorite. :3

 

As for Lyra, Colgate, and Berry, I didn't really decide the BG ponies until after the Wedding episodes. It all just seemed to come to me at once. Lyra, for her massive popularity (and nowadays, I think she's pretty cute ), Colgate, because of her unique name origin, and Berry, for the same reason and I also like to drink punch-esque drinks. :3

 

Other characters: Discord, Iron Willl, Flim and Flam pretty much for the same reasons altogether. They all have amazing voice actors, likeable character, and are overall just cool characters in my opinion. I think I picked the, when I saw their respective episodes.

Eeyup, Dashie's always been my favorite. She was the first one I found out about, thanks to Screwattack's Death Battle Series. As for the background characters, Derpy has also always been my favorite.
