music An odd thought came across my mind

Nearly every music style at some point is considered bad and "kid's stuff" by someone else. Usually when we hear this a lot of people think of metal, rap and hip-hop.

But what about Classical? Was there ever a time when classical music was considered bad for the ears the way some people can't stand to hear metal?

A lot of Beethoven's stuff was considered the "metal" or "hip-hop" of his era.

I just think the definition of "formal" and "informal" have gotten a little more loose.

But what do I know? I'm just a stupid kid.

....

Holy shit. You just blew my mind.

I wonder if parents back in the day were like,

"Oh, you can't go to that concert. The piano is too loud."

Us and our silly culture.

Stravinsky, Mahler and Liszt were considered outrageous on the modernist classical scene. The man that invented baroque music, the great grand-daddy of almost all genres we have today, Johann Bach, was so revolutionary that he was imprisoned for some of his works.

"How dare he write such vehemently blasphemous works! They don't conform to our modern 15th century traditions of music at all!"

"Yeah." responds Bach. "That's why I invented my own. Like standardized musical notation." and that's where you get music notes from.

Always gonna be haters, and haters always gonna hate.

That's just what they do when they wake up and take a big swig out of their bottle of Hateraid.

Hateraid! For all you haters that need an extra boost of idiocy, get hateraid! Now with flavors ignorance and immaturity!

When others around my age get into our 60s and 70s, our music is going to be hard rock/metal/rap/hip-hop. It's going to be weird lol.

"Mooooooom!!! Grandpa's playing his Dr. Dre album again!!"

In certain cases, it already is! Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Motorhead. By the time we turn into adults, bands like Slayer and Metallica will be old mans music!

I can totally see myself blasting hardstyle in a retirement home when I'm 80.

Also, if I invented a time machine and somehow solved the whole backwards time travel problem, one of the first things I would do is take some really fast and heavy metal back to the 50s and see how the parents react to it.

Signature now 99% less edgy!

Would you consider Red Hot Chili Peppers to be old, now?
