THIS is the opening to Dragonball Z, not the American abomination Cartoon Network commissioned. It sounds like some studio musician made that mess version in about fifteen minutes! What was it, two whole sentences repeated twenty times?

 

"Phantom Quest Corp" This is the English Version. I actually like it better then the original. Pioneer actually took the time and trouble to make a GOOD English version of a theme song!

Fairly certain I've posted in this sort of topic several times on the forums but spreading the love of my favorite anime is always a plus.

 

Ah My Goddess season 1 opening is amazing. I like the second one too but it doesn't strike me quite as hard as the first season opening.

 

Darker Than Black's two openings are really good though personally I like the second opening more than the first one.

 

Black Lagoon and Blassreiter are some close runner-ups. Baccano is also a fantastic one that has such unique music for an anime.

I used to wake up at 9 AM every morning from 2005-2006 just to watch Pokemon, and to listen to this theme song. 'Twas epic - now it serves as bit of a motivational tool for me.

However, there are a lot of great openings out there. I tend to go for some of the more unique ones. Some of my favorites are: Toradora, Deadman Wonderland, Highschool of the Dead, both Ah My Goddess openings, Record of Lodoss War, Ergo Proxy, Blassreiter, When They Cry, Love Hina, the first three Ranma 1/2 openings (they got boring later on), Trinity Blood (both opening and ending credits), Witchblade, Pandora Hearts, S-CRY-ed (RECKLESS FIAH), the first Bleach opening...

 

Maybe I should stop now while I'm ahead...
