well as you may have noticed from the title this thread will be about the Dark Knight Rises and im just wondering wha your thoughts of the movie is before its out.

so what do you think?

 

from what iv seen about it (which isnt much) it looks good but its batman its nothing new no matter how much the Noland fanboys say it is.

the main villain is Bane which i love because he is my favorite batman villian and Noland is doing him justice by not making some roided up guy, but a revolutionary and a genius. as for the mask if its going to be use the way i think it is as a inhaler to get Venom into his body. and we all pretty much know that bane is gona break batmans back.

as for everything else such as catwomen....... meh

 

and now for the big rumor that batman will die at the end of the movie if its true i'll give a big yay because i know Noland want to move the hell away from batman.

I am both stoked and saddened that this is IT. Noland has done so much to help some of us forget the last Batman movies. They went south fast. So on one hand, i'm glad that he has the guts to cut the cord and possibly give an ending that prevents anyone else from picking up where he left off, which is what happened after Tim Burton left his Batman franchise. On the other hand, they really have been some of the better superhero movies, and God knows DC hasn't been able to match Marvel's death grip on the genre.

 

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Been looking forward to see this for a long time. I absolutely loved The Dark Knight. That movie was such an adrenaline rush for so it is going to be hard to beat that.

 

From what I'm seeing, it's going to be good and I am curious to see how they will depict Bane. He appears a lot different then his comic book appearances when he was traditionally a giant beast basically. Seeing how Nolan did with Joker and Two Face, I have no doubts that Bane will be a great villain.

 

I really wished this wasn't the end as well. There is just so much more that could be told about the Batman universe outside of just three movies. Regardless, I am hoping for some good closure.

Gladiator for me was one of the best films Ive ever seen and the only film where i actually cried first time seeing it.

Look, I'm not one to be overly sentimental about films, but I have to say this... That wasn't just a movie, that was an experience that I am going to remember forever. No words that I can write here will quite do this film justice. You have to see it. You must see it! That wasn't just some mindless action movie. It was operatic in scope. i'm gona go see it today and i have a feeling its not going to be as good as the Avengers but im hoping its not going to be a disappointment like the dark knight was.

 

but i am looking foward to seeing it because Bane is my fav Batman villain, however i'm not looking forward to seeing the Batman.

as for whats to come after this well i know Noland wants to get the hell away from all this, and im hoping the next generation of batman movies will be based around Batman Earth One (which is a fucking fantastic comic and i rocomend you but it now), however were getting another superman retelling (just after smallville ended damn it) and nothing else from DC hell they have already back them selfs in a cornor with New 52 the they are likely going to have an 'event' with in a year rather then the next five years.

So yeah, I was basically at the theater for almost 12 hours on Thursday. First, I got there at 4:00 P.M. (first person in the theater, so awesome!!!!) to watch "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" again as part of my movie theater's "Dark Knight Marathon" before finally seeing "The Dark Knight Rises" at 12:00. So, was it worth it? Well, I'm not gonna lie... TDKR was my favorite in the whole series!!!! This is, without a doubt, irrevocably, undeniably, a FREAKING FANTASTIC MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET, GO SEE IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!

 

As for the tragic shootings in Colorado on Friday night, my prayers and deepest sympathies go out to all of the victims and their families. May God bless you and keep you in this terrible time of sorrow and pain.

I feel really sad about the shooting, although the movie was absolutely amazing, there were families there enjoying the movie while a Bane wannabe ruins it. Hearing about that almost put me off on watching TDKR.
