gaming Hardest video game boss?

Hardest video game boss I've ever faced? Hmmm... well, Darth Malak was really hard the first time I faced him. But, honestly, probably the hardest video game boss I've ever faced was Queen Myrrah in Gears of War 3 on Insane. In the first two games, General Raam and Skorge were really hard on Insane as well, but Myrrah must've taken me at least two hours in the middle of the night and I can't even (and don't want to) recall how many times I died and was reduced to a screaming ball of rage before I finally beat her!!! I mean, gosh dang, talk about ending your series with a bang!!! Beating Myrrah on Insane definitely ranks up there as one of my best video game accomplishments, and to this day she's still probably the hardest boss I've ever faced in a game (although that may change soon as I am currently making my way through Bioshock on Hard and have yet to face its final boss, so, we'll see).

i personaly think the hardest video game boss for me would have to b yami in okami due to the fact that he steals all ur powers that u work so hard to gain jest to loose them again and also the fact that his boss fight can go on for almost an hour, i fought yami for almost an hour and a half and i still lost due to the fact that i started to get eyestrain headaches and was forced by my mother to shut the game off so my eyes could rest, i still am yet to beat yami so thats y i think that yamis the hardest video game boss to fight/beat.

And the guy in the desert is some guy who wields four swords

Kurt Ziza is his name. :P

Reading through this thread, like half of you guys are casuals T^T hehehe

You want a hard boss, go play "Parasite Eve" and then get to the secret final boss to unlock the true ending.

Not only is this boss EXTREMELY hard to impossible, you have to beat the game, get new game plus, then climb a 100 floor skyscraper just to reach it.

Here it is, it may look easy, but this guy had a nice build that I assume took about three playthroughs to get x.x

Just about any difficult mob or opponent in Oblivion at max difficulty, I remember turning the difficulty to max when I was playing in the arena in Oblivion just to try it out. And even though I had pretty good gear and BLOCKED the attack I got killed in one blow.

Shao Kahn from the new Mortal Kombat...just...just no, he took me 3 days to beat. Freaking impossible.

what's worse is it was on normal difficulty. Hell, he's even hard on easy.

And teramorphious was pretty hard on BL2 was really hard too. Same with RAAM from Gearsof war 1...I don't know it's hard to decide.

I guess Kahn is still the hardest but RAAM is pretty close on insane.

Flandre Freaking Scarlet.

Touhou: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Lunatic mode.

The crazy demon-spawn just won't die.

And those attacks.

ALL THOSE ATTACKS.

Noiman Cascade from Contra: Hard Corps. After a decade, I still find myself getting roflstomped by that guy.

That gel version of Kasumi in DOA4 can be pretty tough as well. That fight seems to be more based on luck that skill.

Not a boss, but a stage.

Ever played Star Wars Episode 1: Racer? If you have and beaten it, I'm sure you remember the Invitational Course Abyss.

...ahh, I can almost hear the grinding of teeth and smashing of controllers. Good memories.

That course was basically impossible unless you had the PERFECT podracer and inhumanely fast reflexes. Basically you have a course as wide as two pods, it is twisty, and if you fall off this course you fall to a second level just below it. Only this second level adds about an extra four minutes to your lap time. Oh, and when there's eleven other racers jockeying you and you're flying along at over 700 MPH...

I hate that level. Had to use a fast-forwarding cheat to make it through.

EDIT: Looking back through this thread, I now remember "The TRUE" Arena from Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Just...just...the hell, guys.

Well... I suck at video games honeslty lol.

I remember when I use to play a game when I was younger called transformers minicons. There was a boss(Forget the name but he was a giant ship I think he was called like tidal wave or something)

Man I really hated him. I used every insult I had at that age :P

I also use to think riku on kingdom hearts chain of memories was hard the last time you fought him. That was also when I was younger, but he was so hard for me to beat I just literally grinded levels to like 90 or something, then I beat him :P.

I also sucked at fighting aldiun the first time when I first played skyrim... But thats just me being stupid lol. hes pretty easy really.

I can't think of any bosses in games that where really hard that i faced. that I can remember right now atleast...

I literally forgot like every game I've ever played upon stumbling on this thread though lol.

Like I said I suck at games I think so :P

This motherfucker right here.

Took me over 3 hours just to beat him the first time, because every time it sends out those stupid ass robots I waste all my ammo on them and have nothing left to fight it.

Incase you don't know the game, it's Ratchet & Clank 2

I Wanna Be The Guy was tough, but it's not so hard once you remember what attacks he does and the timing. It's mostly trial and error as nothing unexpected happens. Still, it takes a lot of trial and error!

Sorcerer Squadron really kicks your ass in Ace Combat Zero unless you know how to manage them.

As you play the game, you're rated as either being a Knight, a Soldier or a Mercenary. Knight means you spare all neutral targets- you're honourable so you don't get as much money. Bosses are easier. Mercenary means you lay wasted to everything in your path, which results in more money but tougher bosses, and Sorcerer is the last. 8 F-15/SMTDs that come in four waves of two aircraft. They have all the best moves and some of the fastest and most manoeuvrable planes in the game, and they really know how to track a target, so if you don't take them down in one pass each, they each begin to pile up on planes that are behind you instead of in front of you.

I know I've beaten harder bosses than this, like back when I played Wizard101 (good times) but since I don't play many video games besides Mario, (awesome) and since the bosses are waaaay too easy, I'd have to say Fiery Gobblegut on Super Mario Galaxy 2. He's the only one that actually gives me any kind of trouble to this day. Don't say anything. I like Mario. He's awesome.

Also in Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story, Bowser X in the Challenge Node is pretty tough, too.

Seymour Flux & Mortibody from Final Fantasy X

Infuriating as all holy hell. Mortibody's Cross Cleave, as well as Seymour's Total Annhilation have, on more than one occasion, sent me into fits of despairing rage.

Saying if you're playing Kid Icaurs: Uprising for the 3DS intesity 8.5 or higher... Pandoras second form (human form) so hard worst part is when she fakes dying and uses a 1 hit KO move on you :/

So yeah amazon pandora is so hard and only at certain times can you actually hit with power. Head it the most effective spot but hardest to hit -_-post-9146-0-70741800-1350763904_thumb.jpg

The Last Way- Shadow the Hedgehog.

Get too close to Devil Doom, and he warps away. And if he keeps away from you for too long, you die of ring exhaustion... those who know the Sonic games know what I mean.

But it is the best boss ever. For the SuperSonic Bosses, anyways. Another hard one-

True Area 53- Sonic Advance 2

Another Super Level... it can freeze you, and then it kills 10 rings plus ring drain of one a second. Stinks.

Lastly...

Kingdom Hearts: 355/2 Days- Xion

The official final boss. Technically, it's... the other guy( can't think of name LOL)

FOUR STINKIN' FORMS!

Oh god yes.and it wasn't just the cross cleave. it was the fact that the cross cleave was only the FIRST ATTACK in a string of attacks. he would do CC, then lance of entropy if one of your chars actually survived CC (which zombifies one character which means healing spells actually kill you instead of healing you) then would cast all heal (or whatever the big healing spell was) on the zombified one.

Hmm...well, I'm sure I'd have some better answers if I thought about it some more but, for now, I'm going to go with Queen Moldorn from A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening (3rd boss in the former, 1st in the latter). Incidentally, the boss can also be really easy; there's an annoying amount of luck considering how random her movement is. You can either get knocked off the platform time and time and time and time (...) again, or she'll end up mostly going just around you making it super-easy.

Still, the times when she knocks you off just pisses me right off.

YUPP! I spent so much time just screaming at my tv "HOW CAN YOU GET 568451364 TURNS IN A ROW? YOU CHEAT, SEYMOUR!!!" Lol I probably still have the damn cutscene right before that battle memorized, I had to watch it so many times....
