I have a crush on Applejack too but lets get one thing clear, she is mine and you can't have her. Okay I am joking, but in all seriousness I have crushes on a lot of the ponies but my one on Applejack is the strongest with Twilight taking an increasingly close second. Applejack has nearly everything I could possibly want in a woman, she is cute and sexy, will be honest and won't play games. She is not afraid to get her hooves dirty which I find incredibly hot. Family is just as important to her as it is to me if not more so, she has good values and is very kind and caring. She is not the first crush I have had on a fictional character but I think may be the strongest I have ever had. Just because you live in Scotland though dosen't mean you can't meet someone like Applejack, sure a girl you meet won't have the country accent Applejack does but can still have a great deal in common with her.

But there are things you can do to mitigate that though, have you tried weight lifting? It is a great way to build up some muscle and get in great shape especially if combine it with some cardio. I wouldn't worry about not having a girlfriend yet as you are still very young and have plenty of time to find one.

HAHAHA I kid, but these ponies are much like the type of girls you can brag/show off to your parents. All of them have certain qualities and when a proper fanfiction shows more of that off (I believe there are some fanfictions out there that capture the characters perfectly: despite the belief that it can't be done by a lot of people) I also find it hard to resist some of them.

 

Especially ones (for me at least) where Rainbow Dash is the 'bro' like best friend to you and you've known her for the years you've been zapped to Equestria so she tries to play it off eventually like she's still only your friend and nothing more but starts acting like "maybe he shouldn't look at me just that way...I can be girly too :(" and it makes me haglknsfnliahglfsfsfzfzf. It's adorkable.

 

And as such maybe you realized just what kind of girl you'd go for eh? AJ is (if we're talking about IRL here) a good choice.

Hit the internet and get clopping, good sir   Honestly, we all have our little fetishes. If yours is fantasizing about a cartoon pony, who am I to judge? As long as it's between consenting adults and conducted in private then people can do whatever they like. In this case, Applejack is fictional so consent isn't required. If you like Applejack then why not act on those feelings? Write some romance fanfics, do some clop art or whatever takes your fancy. Your fascination with AJ isn't as weird or twisted as some people's obsessions.

Ok, honestly it's not much a big deal... At one point, I had a small crush on GLaDOS in Portal 2 as weird as that sounds. As previously said many many times in this topic, it's pretty normal to grow attached to a fictional character and even develop a small crush on them. That just tells me that they're really well designed characters with a somewhat attractive personality (in some manner.)

 

... and yes, I have a very small crush on Fluttershy since we're all confessing.

Don't worry mate, that's totally fine to be crushing on her. It's normal and commonly shown in the community. That's what the waifu threads, fictional crush threads, and all those other pony-crushing threads are for.

 

Most of us bronies here have a crush on one or more of the awesome ponies from the show. And there's nothing wrong with that at all.

 

I have a crush on Pinkie Pie. I think about how awesome it would be if I was able to have her as my special somepony! I think she's gorgeous. With those big aquamarine eyes, that glorious and beautiful smile of her's, her energetic personality, her mane so full of life and spontaneity!

 

Yeah it bums me out to know she'll most likely never truely exist in my life. She can exist in my heart though because I, along with many other Pinkie Pie lovers make her real...to us. Cheesy but it's true.

 

And the same goes for you, AJ, and all them AJ-lovers.

 

Maybe I'll find a girl whose personality is just like Pinkie Pie's. Maybe you'll find a girl whose just like AJ someday!

My friend used to have a huge crush on DIsney's Hercules (don't tell her that), and she still sighs because she can't get super strong demi-god yet clueless and adorable men out there in real life.

I've actually gotten a "waifu crush" on a character/avatar before. Best way to overcome it is to get out more often. How much time do you spend on the internet? If frequently each day, reconsider and hang out more often with real friends or ask a girl out if you can, even if they're "just a friend" and don't think you'd ever want to ever be with that person. That is my short and adequate answer.

I don't think its that strange frankly, its kinda normal to see in the fandom, i mean the characters are so well made they are like real human beings basically.

 

And those traits and human like-ness makes some people have a sort of "Crush" on the characters.

 

I wouldn't worry, people get feelings for the characters sometimes due to their personalities of the characters matching with someone they love or someone they'd find an ideal partner.

I dont think its uncommon at all to have a crush on a fictional character.

 

It exists a lot within the fandom but, I have had friends tell me that they would go out with a certain character form a tv show or movie or some kind of on going series and they aren't even into mlp or anime.

 

Hell, I saw the anime Spice and Wolf in like in 2010 and, I still have a crush on Holo. It really has to do with what type of personality traits you might be attracted to, somewhere I read that people are often times more attracted to personality rather than looks.

It even had some kind of chart, I wish I could remember the sight that the article was in.
