I used to play Blue Dragon, but god almighty I threw that game out the window immediately after that horrid television show. It literally ruined the entire story for me! You should check out Enchanted Arms though. It's a bit buggy, but god it was so awesome. It felt like they tried to combine a sort of poke'mon/digimon hybrid but with machines with a form of Final Fantasy Tactics. Great game.

I saw the anime after I beat the game and I actually liked it lol

well i count a underated game as one that receved a somewhat negative review from "profetional reviwers".

so most of the game i'm seeing mention are not underrated

i have to recent ish game that i thing were underrated

Silenthill homecoming- this game had solid pricaples and the best combat system in the serise thats only flaw was its plot twist, then again i think the reviews were just hoping for the shining perfection that was Silent hill 2

Deadly Premonition- all im gona say is this game is uncut blacktar bat shit and anyone who hasnt played this game should, then out the number of WTF you have.

Is Trine and Trine 2 seen as underrated?

Anyways, those games own and everyone that has a decent PC should give it a try, it's like a sidescrolling puzzle action game or something :S

Hmm. I'm using "underrated" as both meanings.

NASCAR The Game: 2011. It's a good game. It had it's bugs but it is one of the best NASCAR games to date.

Gran Turismo. If it went from PSP to console it would be awesome.

Driver: SF. It seems underrated for such an awesome game.

I find the term "Underrated Game" as in something that most people didn't value as greatly as it could have. This could be dependent on marketing from the developers and publishers or if someone goes out of their way to state false claims over a game.

That's why I felt Legend of Dragoon was a hugely underrated game, seeing as no one really knows of it as a whole since it was stupidly released at the end of the PSX's lifespan. This thing was on par, if not better, than a sqeenix game (square soft at the time) I'm glad it's on the PSN now, and cheap too.

Not really underrated. Many people know of that game...whom own a PC at least. I haven't gone around to playing those though since I have had so much going on sadly.

The story line in just about all RPG's is a huge plus in my book, and when whomever just crapped shoot a television series that doesn't even remotely represent the original, it sorta ruined it in a whole for me. Blue Dragon when it came out had this weird sense of nostalgia that felt like I was playing Chrono Cross/Trigger for some reason and the story was to help. And then that weird anime came out...........

My point still stands; anime ruined it completely for me.

Practice makes perfect; but if nobody's perfect, why practice?

I dunno, do flash games even belong in this sort of topic? Flash games are usually not even rated or even played by many. I suppose in a way they could be perfect for this topic but by nature Flash games aren't made to be promoted like retail games. But I suppose in the end they do belong.

I've played a good amount of the ones on this list and love them so +1 for naming them. :P

I just started playing a game called Beyond Good and Evil, it's an absolute gem, kind of the way all the critics liked Psychonaughts but hardly anyone played it. Same scenario with Beyond Good and Evil, it's a action/adventure game that actually does adventure game elements. Plus you also get a pretty interesting story with some pretty good characters.

Custom Robo

Gotcha Force

THE ENTIRE ADVANCE WARS SERIES

... I had a really long list that I somehow just forgot -- there were a ton on the Gamecube, though.

Gamecube alone had some of the ones I've mentioned along with Eternal Darkness and Geist. Eternal Darkness will forever remain one of my favorite horror games of all time.

My Number 1 Underrated game is Resident Evil Outbreak.

Outbreak is the definition of flawed masterpiece.

While it made some dumb design decisions, if you can get past those.

You're treated to one of the most unique and fun online expierences ever.

Sucks you can't play it online anymore, thus the biggest draw is now moot :(

Glover-N64

such a glorious game, good graphics, good music, good controllers, fun plot, amazing characters.

Too bad the sequel was cancelled.

Shadow of the Colossus, an absolutely beautiful game. I would totally play a sequel if there was one.

I feel like The Wind Waker is very underrated because most hard core LoZ fans are hell bent on having great graphics when I thought the graphics in the game were quite amazing themselves. I felt they were very fitting to the game especially since Link never grew up. The lighter themes are well accented by the cartoon like graphics and the darker themes can actually still be very dark in spite of the design. Besides, if you've ever played a Nintendo wanting extreme graphics performance, look elsewhere. Sony or Microsoft should have you covered.

Anyway, I loved Wind Waker. Probably the best story to it since Ocarina of Time (which can sometimes be a little overrated, but what can I say? It's an amazing game! Long live the N64!). IMO, Wind Waker is second only to Ocarina! :)

But yeah, I feel like that game get a lot of bad rap for its graphics...kinda disappoints me

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.

Isn't SotC itself technically a prequel?

Here's hoping they haven't just quietly dropped The Last Guardian. We've been looking forward to that for years now!

True it is a prequel, because ICO is supposed to take place after SotC, but I'm looking forward to The Last Guardian as well.

I need to get the ICO collection for PS3 so I can play ICO. I've heard a lot of great things about it and I love SotC. I know it's core gameplay is completely different but the atmosphere has gotta be great if it's anything like SotC.

Okami! It's Japanese, for PS2 and Wii... it's gorgeous and absolutely wonderful. I got it really cheap on amazon and I completed it in a good 50 hours. The style and the myths are so compelling.

Love and tolerate, and live by it.

No, this is not a Hallmark card. I'm just incredibly sappy. ^o^

Okami and Shadow of the Colossus! Also ICO.

Katamari Damacy(It's sequel We <3 Katamari is great too) is pretty well-known now but I'll mention it anyways.

As for the current generation... Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

Not a perfect game, but it has beautiful art direction, and a great post-apocalyptic story written by the guy who wrote 28 Days Later and Sunshine, two of my favorite sci-fi films.

Also it's based on the Chinese Monkey King stories. And Andy Serkis is in it(guy loves playing apes, eh?).

Coming in 2013... My Little Dashie: The live-action movie!

Okami was great. Other games I would play that are underated are the Twisted Metal series[PS1], The Italian Job [PS1] (which wasn't all that great), Test Drive 6 [PC or PS1], Test Drive Off-Road 3 [PC], Tak 2 The Staff of Dreams [PS2], and Lair [PS3]
