Oh boy there wasn't one of these yet? Hehehe, time to shove jazz in everyone's faces some more. *evil giggle*

So, I haven't found any of these in the last 5 history pages of the media discussion thread, so here's the:

All Jazz music thread!

For those who are interested in the music genre that has dictated the soul of musical innovation since the day it became a thing! I love jazz, and I like to talk about jazz. I like to share groovy, funky and amazingly virtuos jazz music with as many people as possible, so that's why I made this thread.

Now I reckon not a lot of you listen to this genre, but just give it a look, jazz is a genre that was the origin of everything, so you might find something that you like...

I'd like to start off with a question for people who ARE jazz fanatics... Who is your favorite jazz muscisian of all time? And who has recently drawn your attention?

Personally, my favourite of all time is Chick Corea:

He made so much revolutionary jazz I cannot even begin to describe how much I adore him.

And recently the Pat Metheny group has drawn my attention... Just listen to this!

And of course his collab album with Brad Mehldau is very interesting!

Anyone have questions about Jazz or wants to hear more? Do not hesitate to ask, you'll do me a pleasure :3

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

I actaully made a thread similar to this one before that included swing, bebop, latin and jazz.

Anyway, here's a favorite classic of mine.

Sounds very cool, very old-style... I like it!

As I said, EVERYTHING jazz is related to this thread, so that includes swing. (and in some cases bepob and latin, if they are jazz as well, since that would make it fusion jazz)

Something that this song reminds me of:

The sax sounds familliar somehow, even though the song isn't very much the same.

And rhapsody in blue, but that's so much of a classic that you can relate it to nearly all jazz songs.

These are pretty cool... I think syncopated rhythms allways sound good. Damn, now I wanna practice some piano jazz.

Here is my contribution to this thread:

I've got a old gem made by Louis Armstrong, so prepare for it!

Though this is definately an old gem and a great song, it's not jazz. This is a pop ballad I believe. Not that I don't like this song! It is a great classic that everyone can enjoy!

I certainly do appreciate you making the effort! You can try using the search function if a manual look doesn't work, but sometimes that won't turn up anything either. I merged your thread with an older one, just so you know.
