The Worst Scootaloo Pencil Drawing Ever

I found this in a binder from last school year, so it's pretty old and beat up. I touched it up a little bit, made the eyes a bit better, but still, it looks pretty horrible. So bland. So... boring... It's just... no.

 

But anyway, here it is.

 

 

 

 

Sorry for that quality of a picture. Had to use my iPod to take the picture. More apologies, though, for not making it something amazingly amazing. There's a lot of problems with it her line work...

Wat. As a budding artist myself, I think it's great! Although if you want criticism, if that line between the second and what I presume is the fourth leg is supposed to be the third leg, it's a bit too big, but other than that it's great!

I started off by very lightly making the shape of the highlights. So lightly drawn that you could barely see them. Then I went and gestured the pupil as best I could. Then I made another circle, which was the outer edge of the iris. Then I very lightly shaded in the circle of the iris in a downwards direction. Then I went over that shading again, a tiny bit harder, and not as far. Then again, went over it a bit harder, but not as far. Did that like... 20 or so times. Then I just went and erased some of the lines that were a bit too dark to match the white of the bottom of the iris, and of course filled in the pupils. The gestured highlights disappeared on their own, but I had to go back and do more shading of the iris, because I erased too much of that line that I used to gesture where the iris begins/ends.

 

This was incredibly hard to word, because I just kind of did it. I didn't really think all that much about it while I doing it.

Well, I usually only draw during school (I'm such a good student), so it's kind of hard to say an exact time. It took me four days, but the time was broken up into a lot of tiny little pieces. 20 minutes in English, usually, all 42 in Pre-Calculus, and sometimes 10 or so in Chemistry, so, I'll round it up to, say, 4.5 hours.

That was really well drawn, I mean it isn't scratchy at all and it's very smooth. The only thing you might worry about is the size of the lags and eyes.

Trust me, if you say this is bad I'm going to have to tear off your drawing hand. Anyway everything is up to par with the show and you have excellent form. Its the eyes, they creep me out. It's like she is staring into your soul *jitters*.
