Finding Forrester with Sean Connery and Rob Brown. They made a film about writing and made it touching and interesting. Not easy to do. It's my favorite movie ever. Others:

Spirited Away

Beyond Suspicion

Dreamchild

12 Angry Men

A Christmas Carol (1951)

Deceived

Master & Commander: Far Side of the World

Being just the way they are..."

An old one. Taxi Driver from the mid-1970's is my favorite movie. De Niro portrays himself as Travis Bickle so greatly, that you can see the kinds of psychological elements that he's going through. I also just can't forget the "Are you talking to ME?!?" scene.  ^_^

Bladerunner.

That film is amazing and even though it was made in the year of my birth it still holds up well to all other sci-fi. I just hope to god that the rumors of a sequel are false.

1. Once Upon A Time In America

Robert De Niro & James Woods do an incredible job in this movie.  One of few movies that makes me tear up slightly.

2. Gods & Generals

prequel to Gettysburg, does a very good job of showing both sides of the civil war. Also love Robert Duvall acting as  Robert E. Lee

3. Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Such a good movie, should of stopped at 2.

4. Poltava 1709: Sovereign's Servant

An incredible 18th century war movie from Russia. About two frenchmen that were sent by the king of France to observe a war between Sweden and Russia (aka The Great Northern War)

5. Watchmen

A classic superhero movie

1: Brokeback Mountain. I've always been a sucker for romance, but that just takes the cake. Heath Ledger will be missed.

2: Spirited Away. A classic. It's one of the movies I remember wanting to watch all the way through my childhood.

3: Rent. Musicals always caught my attention, and when you begin singing Seasons of Love, there's a good chance at least one other person will wing along.

And I dream of an absolution...

The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger ensured that nobody could ever hope to become the best film Joker ever again in this movie. Some people thought his voice was unusual, and while I agree, I think it was better suited to him than a Mark Hamill style voice. Joker was presented as lunatic psychopath, and he should never be presented any other way.

Inception

Stunning. DiCaprio performs brilliantly and the plot is complicated enough to draw you in, but just simple enough to allow understanding. And that ending! Oh my, I could never decide of he was awake or asleep.

Schindlers List

Such a powerful film, the film that kick started my love affair with Liam Neeson. The black and white was the icing on the cake, and it really feels timeless, as it is. No more needs to be said, it speaks for itself and says so much more at the same time.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Non stop laughter start to finish. The whole cast is great, but Steve Carrell has the best lines. "Ron, I'm riding a furry tractor!" That gets me very time. "I love lamp" is another immortal anchorman quote.

Jumanji

I don't feel anything needs to be said here. Jumanji.

The whole Dark Knight Trilogy. Such a smart, provacative take on the Batman mythos, I just adore those movies. Batman Begins is probably my personal favorite of the 3 though, I like the origin stuff. I also really like the Star Wars movies, some of the most classic storytelling and twists ever. :D

Kick Ass

Can't really think of any other coz I dislike most of the movies, I tend to like watching old propaganda films more than modern movies.

That too! A dark and vulgar film for sure, but the pacing is just phenomenal, and it's such an original take on superheroes even if it is incredibly ridiculous. Too bad the sequel will likely never come... :(

The Crying Game will always be the number 1 favourite of all time. It has a great script, a shocking plot twist, A+ acting, and has a good moral that affects everbody.

I'm not really much of a movie person, but I have to say Requiem for a Dream. No other movie has ever captivated and enthralled me as much as this movie did before it left me sobbing in the foetal postion.

There a three candidates for this:

One: Gone with the wind. Clark Gable acting was beyond marvelous.

Two: Cape Fear. Robert DeNiro shone in this movie, his psychotic nature made him one of my favourites actors of all time. Nick Nolte was also splendid.

Three: Ghost, not only Patrick Swayze was great in this classic but Whoopi Goldberg won me over.

Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny. Or well, any Jack Black movie for that matter. That man is so sexy any movie he makes can be good.

Hm. Well first off is The Princess Bride. It is a very whimsical movie that I love watching again and again. There is just something about it I love whether it is the Rats of Unusual Size, the word "inconceivable", or Inigo Montoya.

Second movie would have to be Mirror Mask. It isn't a very well known movie, but I fell in love with it. The whole film is shown in a very dark way and the special effects give it a creepy tone. I can't even describe all the reasons I love it. Hehe.

The best movie i've ever seen would have to be Castle In The Sky.  It is just an amazing movie.  Of course all of Hayao Miyazaki's films are amazing.

My favorite movies:

1. The Brave Little Toaster (great events, characters, pacing, and songs that in my opinion are better than in any disney movie, it's just amazing)

2. The Shining (great atmosphere, mood, and camerawork, involving)

3. A Boy Named Charlie Brown (refreshing even now, best display of emo ever, I like it way better than the Christmas special)

4. Kiki's Delivery Service (sweet and simple with beautiful animation)

5. Babe (in a world of horrible live action family fims, this stands tall)

Yeah, I like kids films.  Guess I'm a perfect fit for MLP.

I love you.

Mine would have to be Fantastic Mr.Fox. I have seen that movie over a million times and it still never gets old to me. It would have to be my all time favorite movie probably.

Star Wars

Best movies ever, I love all six of them (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) and am excited about coming sequels and spin-offs. My favourite ist ROTJ.

Lord of the Rings

Just epic, what Star Wars is for science fiction, LOTR is in fantasy.
