Theres something that bothers me in the episode, MMMystery on the friend ship express and thats how the friends acted in the episode. Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and even Fluttershy take huge bits of the Cake families cake and pretty much ruined any chance of their cake winning first place. Even worse, they weren't going to even tell anyone and have someone else take the blame for it. I mean they knew very well that the Cakes wanted to win the contest, so why did they just not wait until the contest was over and then eat it? It could be they knew Pinkie Pie was going to eat it all. Also if I was Mr. Cake I would be pretty mad at these 3. I won by using works of 3 other bakers. This could have boosted his business up and would get more orders, but now 3 other places are going to get the same boost in business. The guy has 2 kids now he has to get more money. If anything there should have been 2 lessons in this episode, don't jump to conclusions and being patient.

So does this make them bad friends?

They were being bad friends, and they learned a lesson about it in the end. Isn't that what happens in every episode? Learning friendship lessons?

I honestly don't think that makes them bad friends, but rather them just making a poor decision. Besides, they all learned from that experience anyway, which is what the show is mainly about.

Considering they learned about it at the end I'd say it was just a stupid move on their part.. If they do it again however, they will be considered bad friends

It was a whole yielding to temptation thing. You have that yummy cake dangling in front of you -- you can't not think about it -- the taste the experience... It is that sort of thing that can make diets so very hard for some people -- the midnight snack.

If anything the smart way to handle this one would have been to keep everypony FULL the whole time which would make the special food less tempting.

Well the three of them did learn their lesson (hopefully) I'd say that they'd only be bad friends if they went and did it again. I also agree with Cloud Chaser that if Pinkie didn't go on about how tasty the cake was that this probably wouldn't have happened.

In that episode I think they were bad friends, but in the end they learned a lesson that they shant easily forget.

Lol that happens in basically every episode, especially with Rarity in Season One Episode 16, Sonic Rainboom.

Exactly, everyone has had their bad moments. Pinkie had her moments, Twilight hers, even Applejack. So it is a basic theme...

I was surprised AJ never ate any cake :o

(Wow I'm forced to type 100 characters here goes, hihihihihihihi Done!)

You know, Applejack ate some in the original script. They just had to cut it out because of the time limit.

They weren't actually being bad friends. They just made a bad decision. People do that time to time. They at least sort of learned their lesson at the end.

I have to agree with Cloud Chaser here. I would have also bitten the cake if Pinkie was just describing how good it was.

That's what makes life life.

Somepony give this guy a GOLD MEDAL!

He's probably made the most sense out of that episode from what I've seen, why don't we give him a gold star, too?

Anyways, Hasbro should've put 2 lessons in there, you're right. I would've done the same thing.

If only Pinkie Pie didn't exaggerate on how good the cake was, I don't think anypony would have eaten it in the first place.

That doesn't really justify their actions. They chose to eat the cake, therefore it's their responsibility.

I felt like what they did was very out of character. Pinkie pie was just being stupid and the rest of the mane 6 were being very immature. I am surprised that none of the other people got angry at them.

You also have to remember that this is a children's show with fun loving and caring multicolored ponies.

She made it very tempting, I would have taken a bite as well but not that big.

It would be amazing if somepony could make a replica in real life.

It would be pretty cool. I wouldn't know if I would take a bite. The cake was worked on for months, so it is important, but man, am I hungry rite now. I would say yes, I would. Haha.

I'll be like.. "I.. Must.. Take.. A.. Bite!" and then I'll go over and "Om Nom Nom!" and eat a layer of the cake.

Actually the problem was more that they chose to hide the fact that they took some of the cake more than the simple action itself. This is even under questioning -- Who ate the cake -- they could have fessed up right there without investigation.

It is true that Pinkie Pie can make any snack sound amazing if she is talking about it, but I still feel they could have waited. Did they not think of the Cakes and how much time and effort they put into making that cake. What they did was just wrong.
