Lost Profile 644 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 What if you won the lottery? Would you become a uber bronie and buy ALL kinds of pony merch? Would you get yourself a new house? Would you donate to some charity Would you fund for the up keep of MLP FiM? What? What would you do? Me? I'd just give it to Hasbro to make better toys, get a better house, and computer equipement. And some to SEGA so they can make more awesome sonic games..
khaine21x3 789 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 I'll start by migrating to a safer country I'd buy hasbro and make MLP a pg 13 show with darker classic disney style themes then I'll open a new factory that produces show quality mlp merchandise and market them to bronies. I'll buy hundreds of Atlas Shrugged copies and give them to the poor and needy.
Starshine 16,333 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 First thing first, i would settle up any and all of my debts Then I would book some tickets for my parents to Mecca for the pilgrimage Last but not least, fuck around with the rest of the money, which may or may not involve taco
Teller 360 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 (edited) First off, I'd pay for my college. Afterwards, I'd create the most expensive gaming computer one could ever build. (2tb ssds, tri-SLI GTX 680s, anyone?) I'd then buy a small house to cram full of nice things, and save the rest of the money in case I ever need to buy some more stupid things along the way. c: Oh and of course pony products. Pan the Fabulous Ferret 2,642 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 Well, I often find myself wondering about this scenario... The main thing I must make clear is, I don't ever want to have a ridiculous amount of money. Most likely, I would pay off debts and save a little for taxes and what not... and the only other thing I would use it for, would be if somehow I don't get my scholarships. I would use it to pay for college. After that, I would just give it away... I would find several charity groups and split the money between them. DusK 1,264 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 (edited) I would find out what wealth ownership quintile that puts me in, and immediately donate a percentage of the money equal to that wealth ownership to charity. Much of it would most likely be to cancer research, because that one kinda hits home for me. Then, I'd pay the doctor bills, in full if I could, for my friend who has an undiagnosed condition that causes massive pain in his arms whenever he does anything with them. An artist should never be in pain for doing what he loves. I'd probably also take him to on vacation or something, because he's had a pretty rough life. After that, If I had money left, I'd consider building and managing a recording studio as a philanthropic experiment, offering free music production for talented local bands that don't have access to good producers. At this point, with any remaining money, I'd probably pay off my loans, get a house, play the stock market a bit to keep the money flowing, all that good stuff. Celtore 2,770 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 Invest it of course! I suppose I would use it to design the underground home of my dreams. It wouldn't be super fancy or anything, but the energy savings would be quite spectacular. Other than that, I would use it to live a modest life. I would likely donate a large sum. SongBrony 419 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 If I won the lottery I would buy Borderlands 2, Dishonored, and as many Pony Trading cards I could along with a few more shirts. I need my ponies
Koori 156 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 I would first pay ALL of my bills, my loan, every single long-time expenses I have. After that... I'm not sure. A bigger apartment wouldn't hurt, but moving is such a pain. Get through the unknown like your life depended on it.
FLARE 952 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 (edited) It really depends how much I get from it. Honestly I'd probably spend next to none of it in pony merch, at the most i'd support some of my favorite brony musicians who aren't (as) well known. I'd most likely do the boring thing, I'd save some of it and probably build a newer computer. If I had enough i'd try to buy a decent house (unlikely though) and see if I can get it rented until i'm old enough to move out or when ever I break even through the rent (but I don't really know how much of this stuff works) And if I had really way too much money, like more than there is ever on the planet, i'd pay someone heaps of money to make a time machine so I can go back in time and not actually spend the money on a time machine (causing a paradox) Although all this sounds quite greedy (and it is), somewhere, at some point (in time? ) I'd donate some money to some form of charity. Azura 1,107 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 It's pretty easy what I'd do with it if it was so much money that nopony could finish in a life-time. First, I would donate 10,000 USD for the forums to keep it up for a long time. After that, I'd buy two more monitors so I can get something like 3D Surround or Eyefinity to enhance my gaming experience. Then I would also bribe my way through education and become a rich billionaire who's known to me very lucky in life! Cupcake Ice Cream 436 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 I would pay off my student loans first. Then I would buy myself the Jaguar I wanted, buy my wife and I a horse each. Then pay off my mom's house and put the rest in a fund that would grow to live off of the interest
Crispy 5,563 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 How much are we talking here? You gotta throw an amount out there, OP. Parroting others in the thread, I'd pay off my student loans, pay off my parent's debts, find myself some modest digs and live life. Shiki 5,855 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 It depends how much we're talking about, here. If we're saying $100,000,000, then I would most definitely give a ton of it away. I would keep 5 million, just to live off and to have my luxuries and whatnot. I wouldn't give the rest to charities, because I really don't trust such things, even though I have no reason to doubt the organisations. I, most likely, would give a ton of it to all my relatives, then also, people that I know and care for. You know, enough to where they just don't have to worry about money anymore. I would definitely donate to this site, as well as any other sites that I like. Actually, no, screw that B.S. Lol, I'mma buy this car: And also buy tons of crap like this: My house will be filled with anime. So much anime. I will love it. Too much. I'll buy whatever I can, just to buy it. I'll waste 100 million on anime crap. Buy warehouses just to store it. Sounds good to me. 2 You'll be entranced by me ♥
Moon Rat 4,772 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 (edited) First off I would use some of that money for college (not sure what I'm going to do there though ) NEXT, I would donate some more of it to the forums THEN I would use a couple-hundred to either fix my current PS3 or buy a new one And THEN I would use some of it to buy a house Keep a couple hundred thousand to live off of And FINALLY, I would donate the rest to charity Edited October 19, 2012 by ~ds8~ Thank you Nas for the sig :3 #HugWoona

Then I would also bribe my way through education and become a rich billionaire who's known to me very lucky in life! The end. Sounds like a plan! But the questions remain: which lottery (how much, really), and did you win it by yourself? Let's say it was $600 million (USD). Taxes come, so really, you get $300 million. That's still $300 million. So first, I would give $30 million to the church (tithe of 10%). So now, $270 million. Assuming I've gone through college and don't have debt, let's give $70 million to a charity (or group thereof). (If I have college debt, let's make it equal $1 million for easy calculations. $199 million) Now you have $200 million, 1/3 of what you 'won.' Still, it's a good amount of money. First off, I may buy a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo for, rounded up, $600,000. $199,400,000... Let's get a good house. $197,400,000... Furnishing the house... $196,700,000... And a Nissan GT-R for 'everyday' use. $196,600,000... Let's put some more into charity ($50 million), some more to church ($30 million), and now I would have $116,600,000... Let's put that into a bank and let the interest come rolling in. :3 (Remember the college deal..? If so, $115,600,000.) That's my plan, assuming life goes exactly to it... and if not, well... I'm pretty sure I'll be staying away from lotteries anyway. Oh well. It works.
TailsIsNotAlone 3,695 October 19, 2012 Share October 19, 2012 (edited) I would pay off my college tuition, buy a new car, quit my job and probably give some to charity. Then I would surround myself with ponies for the rest of my days. At least that's what I think now. But if any of us did win the lottery, it might be different. Having that kind of money really changes a person, and just taking care of it would be a real challenge--kind of a job in itself. Lifehax 81 October 20, 2012 Share October 20, 2012 I'd buy a nice house.. and then I'd buy a Ferrari. Then, I'd get a custom paint job design for it with Vinyl Scratch on it. I'd then invest (Most of) the rest of my money into the bank for a few years to let it gain interest. Once I'm like 40 i'd have a lot of money.. so then I'd buy an M16 from a local arms dealer (After I apply for a permit) and buy a SPAS-12. You know what I'd use that for? Brony haters, and what else.. Justin Bieber.. uh.. I'd massacre One Direction.. I'd shoot my science teacher in the stomach and call her a fatass before her death. Then my life's dreams are complete, and I would continue my life being a millionaire. Ah, that's the life..

Abstract 832 October 20, 2012 Share October 20, 2012 Pay off all my debt, first and foremost. After that, build a small but nice little house in my favorite place on Earth. Get all needed repairs to both of my vehicles, perhaps buy a few expensive possessions. After that, put away most of what is remaining, and donate the rest. Lost 1,410 October 20, 2012 Share October 20, 2012 It depends on how much money it is, the recent jackpot here was arround £150million, assuming I won that, I would give 20million to my perants, 10million to devide between uncles/aunts/grandparents, and 5 million to my younger brother. 15 million to charity, leaving 100million remaining. That 100 mill would be spent on housing, cars, bikes etc. I wouldn't do anything like donate the money to hasbro, but I would deffinately buy merch, I'm thinking that wearing a full suit with a brony shirt spwould look awesome Winning that much money would mean I would never have to work, so I would set up my own organisation for getting homeless people off the streets, by giving them their own small apartment, getting them job interviews and supporting them and getting them to the point that they can afford to work and live properly. I would make personal copies of all the stories i've made. Then i'd buy a 2,000$ gaming computer. All the lights, bells, and whistles. You don't need to win the lottery to get a gaming computer, just do what I did, go to university (guess it's college for you Americans) and apply for a student loan to buy a computer with. I've spent £3000+(about $4000-5000) on mine, 2k of which was a student loan xD Your friendly neighborhood alcoholic motorcyclist Life is too short to worry what others think of you, be creative, be weird, live life.
