Favorite Movie Genres of Mane Six

Seeing as how it's pretty much been confirmed that movie theaters are cannon, (It was in the Babs Seed Song montage.) I guess it won't be so far-fetched for me to make a "Night at the Movies" sort of fanfiction deal, where I give out the reaction of certain characters while they watch certain movies.

 

So with that in mind, what movie genres do you think the cast likes the most? There's bound to be some great variety here obviously, but I need some information of what they could like and dislike.

 

So, what do you all think?

 

Pinkie is obviously for comedy.

I could definitely see Rarity go for romance.

Dashie would definitely enjoy the Action and Adventure genre. Maybe even enjoy Kung-fu movies.

 

The rest for me are tough to place them with. Any ideas?

Apple Jack would probably enjoy western films and action films

I can imagine both Fluttershy and Twlight liking pretty much all films maybe with the exception of horror.

Twilight would probably pick documentaries over anything else. I can imagine Pinkie wouldn't mind action movies if she couldn't get her hands on a comedy, and Fluttershy would probably like movies like Marley and Me.

Okay I'm a movie nerd, I love this topic hehe.

 

Let's see here...

 

Rarity - Obviously Romance and Drama (drama queen).

Applejack - Spaghetti Western movies and also Action movies, I think she'd like Comedies too.

Twilight Sparkle - I could see her liking Drama, Sci-Fi, Documentarie, Musicals and Adventure.

Rainbow Dash - Adventure and Action

Fluttershy - Hm I don't think she'd watch movies, maybe Family movies haha.

Pinkie Pie - Sci-Fi, Adventure, Action, Horror, Comedy

Fluttershy- I can see her watching a lot of classic Disney movies, or maybe just a lot of nature documentaries if nonfiction is allowed.

Rarity- She would watch every romantic comedy ever made, no matter how bad they were.

Twilight- I think she would watch a lot of critically acclaimed movies, but I can see her being pretty diverse. She's probably watch a lot of documentaries too.

Applejack- Westerns, because I'm not original. She might also watch a decent amount of action movies.

Pinkie Pie- I bet she would be into Disney stuff and cartoons. Probably comedy stuff too

Rainbow Dash- She would watch loads of action movies, regardless of how good they were.

For some reason I completely forgot about Sci-Fi movies which would probably be Twilight's all time favourite. Obviously her favourite film is 2001: A Space Odyssey

I feel like Twilight would actually like disaster movies.

AJ would like documentaries as well as twilight cuz she's a farmer.

Pinkie might like horror lol.

RD defs into adventure or sports movies.

Rarity. Devil wears prada fan. Dirty dancing. big fat Greek wedding and.so forth.

Rarity: Rarity strikes me as the kind of pony who'd cry during movies...a lot. So in that case, soppy romance movies, like Dear John or Titanic. She'd probably be into romantic comedies, musicals and fairy tale movies.

 

AJ: Documentaries, westerns (because it's freaking obvious) and movies that center on families.

 

Fluttershy: Disney movies, documentaries on animals...just don't show her a movie like Marley and Me.

 

Rainbow Dash: Superhero, sports and action movies. She'd probably say she'd like horror, but still be absolutely terrified if you made her watch one.

 

Twilight: Movies that require thinking, movies based off of books, science fiction and mysteries.

 

Pinkie: Not just comedy, but also fantasy. I could see her loving stuff like the Princess Bride. She'd probably like horror movies too, and just laugh through them all.

Yay! Where to start?

 

Pinkie Pie: Comedy would be an obvious one! and anything with comical qualities. Horror, Because 'Sometimes, it's really fun to be scared' Sci fi, and Action, oh and a bit of Fantasy too! As long as it isn't too serious.

 

Rainbow Dash: Something that Dashes, and wows. Action, Adventure. Sci Fi, and what ever Pinkie is watching.

 

Fluttershy: I think, 'Shy here may watch the unexpected, mixed with typical Futtershness. Cute Disney like stuff in the day, and role up the 'box of tapes' at night.

 

Twilight: SCI_FI! i'm not going to even elaborate why. And perhaps some Adventure (only a recent adaptation)

 

Rarity: Every Romcom, chickflick and romantic drama ever made! And perhaps borrow that 'Box of tapes' from Fluttershy?

 

Applejack: Western, Comedy, Action and family oriented movies? And perhaps some horror.

Dashie would love action adventure flicks, with her love of Daring Do and all. Fluttershy seems to like calm, heart-felt family oriented movies. Applejack seems to be more into the comedy side of things, and so does Pinkie Pie. Twilight would seem to be into educational flicks, and Rarity would love drama/tragedy.

Rarity: she'd LOVE period dramas and romances (stuff like PaP, Anna Karenina, etc.)

Twilight: sci-fi for sure, and documentaries

Rainbow Dash: action films

Pinkie Pie: comedy and horror

In my opinion, here's how it would go

• Twilight would be into documentaries and very factual and analyitcal films.
• Rarity would like romances and dramas.
• Pinkie Pie would enjoy comedy
• Applejack would enjoy western action movies
• I can see Fluttershy going for romances and dramas as well
• Rainbow Dash would probably like adventure and sports movies.

Let's take 'em all to the movies and see what they like :v
