I don't wish for people to debate on this thread.

I just want them to tell there religion.

I see.....yet, I don't understand why its there, b/c its similar to this thread.  No worries, :D

BTW, forgot to mention, even though im a Roman Catholic.........there are some cases which some may call me a heretic, b/c there are some things i find hard to believe from the bible, like Jonah getting swallowed by the whale or the splitting of the Red Sea.

I was raised as a protestant Christian, so I guess that's what I am. However, I'm not very strong in my beliefs, and I wouldn't say I'm religious at all. In my opinion, it's more important to just be kind to other people, and try to be the best person you can be. :)

Hmm... that does seem a bit out there, but I'm a Binle Believing Literialist. Which means I take the Bible literally how it is worded. I would have to say that God somehow made the whale's insides habitable somehow. I believe through God anything is possible. So I do not doubt really anything in the Bible.

But if you feel like there are some parts that you feel aren't possible I can respect that. :-)

It was mentioned before, but we already do have a thread for this. It's not a religion, but I consider myself agnostic atheist.

I am agnostic atheist. I was born a Catholic but could never stay awake in church and didn't agree with a lot of the religion's ideals, so I left the church at a very young age.

@stabbed

Why is that and can you help me?

I talked to my pastor and he said that you need to read more of God's Word (the Bible). So I did and I prayed to him. Eventually I felt like I was closer to God. I don't know how to explain, but I just did.

@stabbed

I've talked to a friend about it and she said to just have faith, but I just can't for some reason

I'll throw in my two cents. Question it. Question everything. Look at the logic of it. READ THE BIBLE. Read it, question whether the things in it are literally possible, look at what the "God" in it does. If it seems moral and good to you, believe in it, if not, don't.

Btw if you're starting to doubt your faith, don't be!

There is many archeological evidence that supports Christianity and the events within the Bible.

God to me has his reasons for doing what he does.

He acts different in the Old Testiment than the New.

I consider everything God does to be just though.

I totally understand, I was raised a Christian, now I'm the only one in my family who isn't. I'm always trying to learn more, so if I'd really like to hear your reasoning - in PM's though so we don't disrupt the thread.

Welp, looks like this is starting to turn into a debate thread after all...

Just saying.

Yeah, if you even so much as mention religion, it's going to become a debate, that's why I'm stopping here before I go nuts with debating.

Naw it's fine.

I rather not debate about these issues anyway.

I respect your opinion, but I just don't want to argue about it.

You could say I'm Christian. I belive in God but I don't belive he/she/it created earth and the humans.

I guess I'm a devout spiritual agnostic. My wee joke.

I was raised in the Church of Scotland, and was once nicknamed the wee minister for knowing the Bible and the way I questioned it, but issues in my life led me to doubt certain things, and reading the history of the bible itself killed my Christian self dead. I said, did and believed some very silly things in my younger years that embarrass the hell out of me now.

I do strongly believe in a higher force, but I don't believe it to be either compassionate or judgemental. It just is.

I also believe in ghosts and spirits. Don't ask me anything about that.

I have my own ethics and wee rituals that have meaning to me.

I'm a Christian, and while I am very serious about my faith, I don't consider myself to belong to any specific denomination. I attended a church that some would call Charismatic or non-denominational up until this past December, when I stared attending a Reformed Presbyterian church. I believe in the truth of the Bible with all my heart, but I also realize that humans are fallible, as is our understanding of Scripture. So while my Church X may get something right that Church Y get's wrong, Church Y will get some things right that Church X gets wrong. This is why I don't consider myself as belonging to a denomination.

I'm also a Young Earth Creationist, although I have not researched the scientific evidence for this theory as extensively as I would like to. I believe that science does not and cannot contradict Scripture, because I firmly believe that everything in Scripture is true in the literal sense.

Despite me being a country brony, I am actually not religious at all, or not practicing one ATM!

I honestly believe what I believe not because I go based on my feelings.

I go based on faith.

I know for a fact I can't always get what I want.

I wish hell weren't in my religion, but I can't simply just "rule it out" because I don't like it.

To me, it's there whether I like it or not.

I'm agnostic. As of yet Nobody has convinced me of anything, and I feel like we just don't know enough to really know for sure. However I support people of faith, as long as you don't use it to harm others. I actually think a lot of things that religious people believe in make for pretty cool stories, true or not.

Wow, is it really all Christians and agnostics/atheists here? I think someone ought to throw in some variety, and I happen to be just the mare for the job ;)

I was raised Christian, but after a truly enormous amount of thought and questioning I decided that paganism is more my speed. It's very free-form, so I can believe in what strikes me as logical, and what strikes me as logical is to believe that every deity has the potential to exist, and that a number of them do, but the exact quantity and nature of these spirits is something that we as an earthly species simply cannot know.

Despite this, I find I can still firmly believe in and worship certain spirits, gods if you will, the most important of which just happens to be one I call Luna.

I don't follow any religion

I have a few beliefs and I'm actually rather connected with my spiritual side

But I'm not fully sure on what I believe as far as a "God" or whatever

I've been referring to it as the supreme being, but I haven't really had a good epiphany about it yet

I'm still learning about myself, and life, and I think that's okay

Better to explore than limit yourself

I have some Pagan and Buddhist believes, but I don't follow either in their entirety
