i am not sure if i get it. the sound is awesome. is that what you are referring to?

Well, some people will feel a pleasant sensation in several parts of their body. But if you didn't , it's ok, too.  :grin2:

nope, i didn't feel it. does this make me heartless or something now?

Nah, it's fine, you can try with other asmr videos -if you want- and see if u feel anything~  :rarity:

mmh. i mean, i enjoy listening to the sound, but.. not sure what kind of feeling i should be getting from this^^

the same feeling that you get from good music? but that also would depend on the kind of music, so i am really not sure^^

Not for me, at least   :P

Everyone may feel differently, so it's really difficult to explain an abstract feelin'.... :rarity:

Ahh ASMR. I was hoping to find a topic about it.

Here's the Wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_sensory_meridian_response

It's an extremely interesting thing. You should find out if this affects you or not!

I enjoy ASMR, as it helps me sleep or feel relaxed when I am stressed. It gives tingle sensations throughout your body which relaxes many many people. Typically you have to wear headphones or ear buds in both ears to get a full effect. I never realized why I sometimes had a tingling feeling when I heard people speak at school or on YouTube videos until I stumbled upon articles about ASMR!

This guy is one of my favorite ASMRers.

I don't get all head-tingly like some people do, but I do like a good ASMR video from time to time. It's very relaxing for me. I like to combine it with very relaxing music or nature tracks, and it's so relaxing. (Could I say relaxing one more time? Yeesh...)

This one, in particular, I enjoy:

(Warning, it's very long.)

I don't wear makeup, don't know how to wear makeup, don't get makeup, but for whatever reason, I like makeup tutorials. I guess I like seeing things in a progression like that. It's similar to why I like speed paintings.

Anyway, in particular, I like when she taps the bottle of foundation (the l'Oreal) at around 20:00.

In general, I can't really explain, but I like when certain people use plosive sounds. (T, D, K, G, B and P.) I can't really explain what specific consonant sounds, but just certain ones. I think when slightly more air escapes? It's hard to explain.

This guy makes the plosive sounds I like. I can't really explain what it is about it, but you can get the idea. I dunno if it's actual ASMR, but that's always what I think of for me, personally, when people mention ASMR.

The sound of typing on a classic keyboard; writing on a chalkboard, capping and uncapping pens, whispers and flowing water, and many more.

Including Revolver Ocelot's gun spinning:

Oh hey, I watched a couple ASMR vids a week or  so ago. Didn't know it was a thing until now...

Though, there's certain sounds I absolutely love, like reloading of a magazine, the general sound of your "gear" moving around as you walk/run in video games. tapping on a fresh pack of cigarettes...my mom smokes, so I do this one a lot. Sound of a deep rumbling idle sound of a Muscle car V8...The "knocks" you hear sometimes when people are recording with a camcorder.

I know there's more I have....

I hate the majority of ASMR videos. Most of the sounds are annoying. The whispering is creepy to me. I can't stand the stereo audio moving from left to right.

The only ASMR video I ever liked was a GameCube Smash Bros. Melee tech practice session. Listening to the clicking and flicking was nice. Very satisfying noises.

I've never experienced the "tingly" feeling either.

I remember reading about this. Only ever had one of those videos give me a tingling feeling.

It was a "head massage" one and they used that head massager thing that looks like a broken egg whisk you move up and down your head.

EDIT: This thing, if you have no idea what I'm talking about:
