The time has come ...

 

Give me your best reasons why Rarity is amazing and how she inspires you. If the reasons are genuine enough, I will consider moving the element of generosity up a place or two on my list of favorite MLP characters.

 

Best reasons why Rarity is amazing: 

 

1. Rarity represents the element of generosity, the best element of harmony. If someone is willing to give something, time, money, belongings, or whatever, for the good of someone else, they are just amazing! 

    

2. Rarity goes against the typical trope of fashion loving characters: spending lots of money, bragging about how rich they are, be completely stupid. Rarity isn't like that at all. 

    

3. Rarity doesn't only love fashion, she creates it. She's an artist. 

    

4. Rarity has the ability to find gems, but she doesn't look for gems to make herself rich. If she was some pony else, she would collect gems for herself and not care about herself. This is Rarity we're talking about, though. She makes outfits for other ponies with the gems she finds. 

    

5. We know Rarity is pretty well off, possibly rich, but she never states she's rich. She doesn't force other ponies to do things for her because she has a lot of money. Instead, she will do a lot of things herself (Unless Spike offers to help) and is a hard worker. 

    

6. Rarity is very clever. She was captured and enslaved by the Diamond Dogs, and she was able to get them to get the gems and got herself freed along with six carts of gems. 

    

7. Rarity can definitely kick hard when provoked. She isn't usually one to fight, though. I love that about her. 

    

8. Rarity is one of a kind. She is definitely a rarity. 

    

9. Rarity is very forgiving. How many people (or ponies in Rarity's case) would forgive you when you ruined their life?

    

10. Speaking about something that happened in Suited For Success, Rarity knew the dresses her friends liked were horrible. She could have decided to not show them in a fashion show, and if she wasn't the best pony and the element of generosity, she probably wouldn't have. She did it though. Not only that, she even got on stage after knowing that everyone hated the dresses. The best part? She was never shown to be angry with her friends about it.

Honestly dear friend I would not wish to persuade you. If you don't connect with rarity there isn't anything I can do to change that.

My love for her is quite personal to me in the way she inspires me.

You should decide what connects with you on your own and not rely on how good someone can "sell" you the idea of who is the best.

They are all different not better, different.

Maybe you don't work that way, but I'm the kind of guy who appreciates personal and anecdotal insight from others on the reasons behind a certain character's popularity. If I find reasons that make sense or if I find ones that are completely new to me and intrigue me, then there is a good chance that I'll start looking at the character in a new or at least more reasonable light. I am open-minded person and I've proven to myself time and time again―through my investigative experience in finding what interests me―that it is very easy for me to get interested in so so many things

I was eventually persuaded to favor Sunset Shimmer over Pinkie Pie. Maybe you don't work that way, but I'm the kind of guy who appreciates personal and anecdotal insight from others on the reasons behind a certain character's popularity. If I find reasons that make sense or if I find ones that completely new to me and intrigue me, then there is a good chance that I'll start looking at the character in a new or at least more reasonable light. I am open-minded person and I've proven to myself time and time again―through my investigative experience in finding what interests me―that it is very easy for me to get interested in so so many things

I grew up around a lot of manipulation. Even if a "this should be your favourite" seems harmless now I personally have felt many long term effects over the years and it can chip away at someones true identity and tasets.

I used to have her eye color. Now my eyes seem to be blue with a hint of green mixed with grey now. She does have beautiful eyes, though.

Don't worry I wish you the best in your self discovery.

I also like how Rarity is completely aware of how she can be over dramatic at times (her own customized fainting couch I mean come on) yet she isn't apologetic or changing it to have/keep her friends. She is the way she is and she loves herself for it. (sometimes she forgets it if the plot wants her too) She is fabulous and she knows it. I wish I could completely embrace that.

Shy character with no depth, so Fluttershy was obvious choice for me to start finding out who I really am.

 

As time passed I lurked everywhere to see what is going on with me I tested different things with myself to see what it felt like. You dont learn without  any mistakes. I made plenty, but today this day. The mistakes are past and I see one true woman in my life. The one that can help me the most at this point of my life. The girl with a purple hair and white fuzzy coat.

 

I didnt see it instantly but when I saw the passion here on this fan club I realized that that there is something in this character to gather over 10 000 posts.
