I like beatnik Rarity quite a bit, but Crystal Rarity and Rarihick are also pretty high up there.

Hail Queen Rarity! Brohoof for the great Ra-ra in all her pearl white glory!

 

Rarity Belle is by far one of thee single most interesting characters in animation. The only other character that has sparked my interest over the years this much (and has not become a Waifu, but instead a beckon of sheer respect) is Zira, from the Lion King 2. Zira, unlike Rarity is what some call a villianess but really is an Anti-heroine. The depth of her character is very hallmark of Disney writting, and while i could go on for a few dozen paragraphs why a jaded mother of 3 was booted from her home because of her mates actions and not her own, left to starve, and watch her cubs grow weaker by the day to to malnuritionment, i will pass and return to the topic at hand...and also, F-YOU SIMBA!!!!...1

 

 

Rarity Belle...what can be said. What simple words do this character justice. I fell in love with her the moment I heard Mrs Germaines VA work for her, and then to see the same words taken in action by this prim and proper pinacle of lost femine glorys in the "flesh", well that just did it for me. Rarity is single best Pony, period!

 

But saying any of the mane6 is "best pony" is really just a easy way to sell t-shirts.The real meat of this meal, is "why". And instead of my normal formate of ranting for a dozen paragraphs i will sum it up in a rather new realization upoun my part when mulling over this lovely Mare.

 

-Rarity IS thee single most realistic character on the show. She is the most "human".-

 

Rarity is a flawed Mare, and we as people are FLAWED. We are BORN that way, sinners by nature and common to weakness of flesh and selfish desires. Rarity is strife with these facts as well! But she is also riddled with goodness, love, and the sheer NEED to help others. In truth so are we. (you know you hold doors open for little old ladies..guess what you DONT HAVE TO, but you do, because your a good person).

 

If any of us, as humans, can relate to a MLP Pony, Rarity is it. She has all our flaws, all our charms, and all the goodness that we..rarely (wahaha!) see! But they are there.

 

So too you, my Queen of Fashion, my Lady of femine glory. To you we bow, to you we smile and look up too. And when you offer your hoof we accept.

 

 

TLDR version (you damn kids and your A.d.d!)- ZOMG RARITY IS BEZTESS PONY BEAST-MODE 4EVA!!!111!11....ahem...yes.

I'm really not excited, although I am adamantly keeping my hopes neutral/leaning towards high for this one. It doesn't look great, but I trust the writers like I trusted them for the first EqG.
