So, out of curiosity, are all ponies in this fanclub a fan of RariJack? I like the shipping, but I'm just curios to see. I don't want to say anything and be told it's wrong.

 

I love Rarijack almost as much as RainbowPie, but I dont' know if that's the official ship of this fanclub.

If I were to ship Rarity with someone besides myself, it'd be Applejack Rarijack is my personal favorite ship besides Rarighost

 

I know a lot of Rarity fans are also big AJ fans, and vice-versa. AJ is a close third for me, with Trixie just barely edging her out for second place. AJ has always been one of my favorites, same with a bunch of other Rarity fans

I'd say it kinda is. We do have the best relationship with Applejack fans as underrated ponies, so that may play a role. We have several heavy shippers, some regular shippers, some that like it and a rare few that actually don't really like it.

 

As for me, I do all the ships.

Rarity and Applejack have such chemistry on screen.  If y'all had mentioned it against Discord I might have changed my vote.  While I think it's totally platonic, I could understand how it can be interpreted as something else.

Of the inside mane 6 it's my favorite ship.  Also of all the implied (instead of actual [or total fanon]) shipping in MLP it's also my favorite.

 

It also may come from a desire to put more quirks in AJ's personality?

 

Now I want a RD Rarity episode (muchly) to see if that screen chemistry comes more from the character actors or writers.

It feels like their friendship is non-existant. We hardly see them interact, and they have potential to have a great dynamic.

I agree. We hardly see Rarity and Rainbow interact (except for Sonic Rainboom, but that episode was terrible )

Aaaawwww, nothing like a ton of Rarity to help my mood after a terrible day!

 

I love Applejack, use to be my second favorite pony, Flutters stole that somehow though.  I can see why people ship Rarity and Applejack together, the contrast of AJ's simple ways compared to Rarity's more refined ways works very well together imo.

Blechh. I saw that. Even though people seem to always complain about RD's episodes, moreso than any of the mane 6, her episodes are somehow more liked than Rarity's, who seems to get the episodes that receive the highest praise.

 

Silly, honestly. Oh well - what can you do? RD's pretty popular with the younger side of the fandom, so I'm not surprised that her episodes would get votes even though they seem to spawn the most complaints from the brony community

 

 

Also, on a side not, here's Print Media - it's where you go for discussing printed MLP media, like the comics I knew you were asking about it, and I kept meaning to answer your question. Sorry for the delay.

I don't like EQD, i always thought of it as an festering pool of villany and Rarity hate.

 

Has probably to do with my experiences there. Don't know if the site changed since then, since im not even going there anymore.

As to the earlier question of Rarity's popularity in Japan, I have no idea. Maybe down in Tokyotown, there's a large contingent of FiM fans, but in Sendai, I don't know of a single Japanese brony. I'm sure they're around, I just don't know any.

Yes! The show needs a Rarity an RD centric episode. Out of all the one on one friendships it is easily the least explored. I don't say this as a Rarity fan ... I say it as a fan of the show in general.
