Humanized Discord concept thingie

Concept thingie I had.  I'm trying to draw a full-body pic of him but he's lanky as fuck and I can't get him to fit on the page.  It's too small.

Cool! This almost feels like a piece straight out of a comic about humanized ponies (..wait what ) Heh seriously though, I really like all the small details you added to emphasize his chaotic nature (one square lens and one round lens ).

 

How do you get that faux-canvas effect though? It really adds a whole new dimension to it :3

I actually did this drawing on a piece of watercolour paper (not cheap stuff, but it had a stained edge and a worn surface and it was old and pretty much useless for anything else,) and watercolour paper is kinda dimpled, so it looks a bit like canvas when you add the "cartoon"/"contrast" effect in GIMP that makes the black lines stand out so well.

Looks really awesome! It kinda gives me the feel that hes some kinda salesman for like ancient artifacts or something. I dunno why.

I think that's a chocolate milk cloud, seeing as how he's drawn with a cup under it.

Woah, that's really good, I myself never tried to draw humanized Discord, although I've tried drawing the Mane 6 before xD

This is badass! I love it! The glasses frames is a nice touch. His best carried over feature (into any form) has to be his thick, bushy eyebrows as those are John de Lancie's eyebrows. Excellent, excellent job!

Don't know why but he kind of looks like Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2. It may be the art-style or the fact that they have a similar bodytype but I see him. Please tell me I'm not crazy

I like the style. Very rustic. has almost a mosaic-like feel to it.

 

That being said, why would a being bent on reeking havoc and chaos on the world need a wristwatch? 

 

But its does look PONYTASTIC (yeah i said it!!)

That is pretty darn classy! His face is awesome and I really like the mismatched glasses, he looks a bit like some sort of mad college professor. If you've ever seen "Let's go and meet the Bronies" then you have an idea of my mental image. Also: is that big poofy brown thing behind his head his hair? Seems a bit Wilde for Discord, but somehow fitting. Anyways, pretty interesting stuff!

Oh my God. This. This is perfect. I've never seen a human Discord that looks quite like this and I just have so much love for it. He looks like that crazy hippy uncle that never quite grew up. It's just perfect for him.

Yeah, I kinda messed up on the hair; I was trying to make it look like his head fur when I should've paid more attention to the flow, though I think long hair fits him fine.  One thing I've thought whenever I see human discord art; his hair is the same colour as his mane, which makes sense, but doesn't look very good (in my opinion.)  So, I made is head fur colour his hair colour and gave him mane-sideburns.

 

BTW, thanks for all the critiques you give me, it really means a lot!  It says 'I care enough to want to see you be a better artist.'  I really don't think you know how much I appreciate it

YES!  Yes!  That is PRECISELY what I was going for : hippie/con-artist, to be more specific, but I'm really glad that it was easy to see where I was going

The wristwatch was mostly there for the purpose of making his human-arm look like his eagle-arm--gold and kind of stripey.  In other human-ed art I've seen of him, he wears gloves, but it just doesn't look right to me.  I'll probably add more to it, like, give him five watches or something crazy like that, and they all keep different time.

Yeah.  I know it sound weird, but eyebrows are actually my favorite part of the face to draw, mostly because they're the most expressive part of the face (eyes are pretty useless for divining emotion without eyebrows, after all.)
