null123456 759 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 (edited) Well, it's obvious I like violence. (Hence my TF2 addiction) But I don't like spontaneous amounts of guts, gore, and violence. I keep it to a bit of gore, violence, and depending on what game it is, a very small amount of guts. Scootalove 10,689 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Well, throughout history there has been violence everywhere. Really hard to say this, '' You haven't seen violence.'' But I do like violent games, but when it comes to violence. It depends on where your from. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Zygen 6,066 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I don't really care about it in Video games, because its no real and it doesn't affect my IRL life really, but IRL I don't think anyone really "Likes" violence. Its normally quite unnesary in alot of cases, but I just don't like seeing people IRL hurting each other or killing each other. But in games I don't really care if its violent or not, as long as Its good. 2 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! ~Sugar Sprinkles~ 638 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I don't mind video game in violence, but I hate the fact that kids like 6 years of age plays them games. I know most don't end up violent when older, but some do. However, I do play violent video games that release the stress in me sometimes. Real life violence I don't like, because...its violence and it hurts people, unless they deserve it, but who am I to stop it. I wont ever end

I like the anime elfen lied and that is super violent . Most of the video games I like are violent: SSB, Halo, etc. I mean most video games have a level of violence in them. It is real life violence done intentionally that makes me sick. I even enjoyed the cupcakes video and that was super super violent but I liked it for the music and all the animation etc. it was funny too xD Edited February 18, 2013 by Gone ϟ Airbourne
Stalliongrad 982 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I'd be lying if i said i don't like violence. Tom and Jerry is probably one of the funniest things ever created. A cat and mouse running around beating the hell out of each other with random heavy objects.. priceless. 4 ~Signature Awesomely Made By Frozen Mint~ http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/crimson-star-r1439

Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Let's just put it like this....... I love most of the Saw movies, and most of the Slasher flicks that come out in theaters and what not. In case I am being too Subtle , I really like violence in movies and cartoons and Video games. As for being Violent in real life? I am not the Violent type at all. I tend to shy away from all arguments and conflicts. Facebook: Josh B. ApexHunter 166 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Hmmmm yes and no...I don't like violence in real world because that's why cartoons and games are for right? That kinda answers the "yes". I enjoy violent games from time to time because it's fun. Also cartoons like Tom & Jerry (which someone already mentioned before). How could you not like those 2 little bastards? Just SMASHING each other all the time.
PlunderSteed 1,252 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I don't really like violent games or anything violent.Im not a person who likes violence. Is there anyone here who does'nt like violence? It's interesting to see how each member's answer is framed by their own experiences with violence. Captain Obvious will now point out that experiencing real violence (whether on the giving or receiving end) will heavily influence that perspective. Some of my other thoughts, in no particular order... Hunting and killing a man is among the most exciting things one can experience. Pain and pleasure are two sides of the same coin. Circadian 1,273 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I'm vegetarian. I save insects and put them outside instead of squishing them. One could argue that I'm about as non-violent as they come. On the other hand, my favorite game series is Dead Space, where you have to cut the limbs off enemies to kill them. Revving chainsaw bayonets in Gears of War make me smile. I'm a huge fan of The Walking Dead. Do I like violence? You tell me.
GenderIsAnIllusion 2,177 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I love violence. The more blood the better....... It gives me a satisfying feeling whenever i kill a boss on Zelda, or get a head shot on Modern Warfare..... Or even when i Stab Kazuya Kasama in TTT2 with Orges horns... Metemponychosis 1,262 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 In fictíon, violence is ok with me. I'm not in love with it and it's alright as means, but not as an end. I love violent games such as God of War, and there's plenty of violence in my role play game. But it's always as part or something bigger. 1 https://www.fimfiction.net/user/32864/Metemponychosis For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out. PastelShades 8 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I don't like violence... I don't like games that involve blood of any sort really, and hate it when things die, especially animals. I tend to rescue spiders and ants and worms when they are going to be squished to pulp by others and hate movies that involve killing. I don't mind Lord of the Rings, but then, you don't actually see any blood in that. I just tend to look away when the fighting scenes start xD But yeah. That's me! Not into violence but I don't mind the low level stuff. <3
Brook 663 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 In video games, yes, it's fun to loose some steam on a random computer generated monster, because it's imaginative and fun. But not in real life, I avoid violence on every occasion that I have to. Ask me anything!

Nouth 496 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 Huh. Interesting thing to think about actually. In reality, I'm a pseudobuddhist and mostly pacifistic idealist. On the other hoof, I do like several violent games (e.g. TF2) as long as it is clear that the violence is not real and nopony really gets hurt (which works pretty well with the cartoony graphics of TF2). I also like the games where you can take a non-lehtal, least violence possible approach (Deus Ex 1 and 3, Civ 4 etc.). So yea, I dislike real and realisticly looking unreal violence. Allosauridae 54 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I'm a highly jittery one... Violence in games doesn't bother me... I actually love things like Tomb Raider... Violence in person though, I freak but I was also abused as a kid and assaulted a couple years ago.... If someone raiser their voice wrong I start to get real jittery and skittish, and if someone moves aggressively, depending on the circumstances I will either shrink back or lash out. I don't put up will bull and I have nearly "started" a few bar fights.... actually the guy grabbing my technically started it... NO PONY touches me if I don't want to be touched and no pony has the right to try and grab my cowboy hat.... Friend's cousin stepped in before I could punch him... Dev 251 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I have nothing against violence of any level. What I mind is where there is NECESSARY violence and UNNECESSARY VIOLENCE. For instance, in a game like TF2, you gotta have a specific level of violence. A bit of dying, and that's it. For sadistic anime, you have to be really violent and shizz like that. But I have no problem with that, because the violence is supposed to be there. It's rational, no matter how violent. But blood, guts and gore in MLP or something like that is unnecessary and looks really bad. In real life, violence is never the answer, but again, necessary violence and unnecessary violence is key. Boxing match or police raid = Necessary violence, Riot or Punch-up = Unnecessary violence. Anyone agree with me?
StormzInvader 127 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 In video games, meh. Violence is fine. I mean, they are just characters of our imagination after all. It doesn't really make much of a difference if we suicide in a single player mission and then create a paradox by respawning. I'm completely fine with it in video games, books or whatever. Just nothing with real people with real pain. In real life however, I don't think that violence is right. I mean, I hate people who even use violence as an excuse, an act or anything! Just like the Connecticut gunman thing, my cousins live in Connecticut and I'm glad they didn't get hurt. I really hate that people would just hurt others for random reasons and all that. It saddens my heart. 2 Thank you, Gone Airbourne, for the amazing signature!

Up From The Ashes 56 February 18, 2013 Share February 18, 2013 I keep all my love for violence directed towards the game I play. I find it a bit of stress reliever sometimes as well. All this media attention about such games like Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto are blowing every aspect out of proportion before realizing the true factor of it all, they are just video games! You want to see my childhood hero? That's right, Duke Nukem himself. I never turned out war-hungry or want to go beat the crap out of people like Duke did.
