Star sat down which pushed her heavy coat up over her head. She let out a small squeak and quickly adjusted it...it was rather obvious she wasn't used to the cold. "I never really go out in the colt...when its cold outside in Ponyville I just stay in the house and cook brownies...and drink tea...occasionally hot chocolate." She said, giggling.

"I kind of like it when it's a little chilly out," remarked Moonbeam. Finally, the waiter approached their table. He stood up, trying to look prim and proper and spoke.

"Can I get you something to drink?"

"I'll have a nice, warm cup of tea with just a teaspoon of sugar please." The waiter wrote Moonbeam's order down on a small pad.

"And what about you, miss?" he said, turning to Star Song.

"I'll get the same thing please." She said, giving the waiter a shy smile.

Star shivered slightly...she wasn't that cold but, even under all her clothes she felt slightly chilly. She did her best to wrap her wings around herself but it didn't really do much considering her coat was so bulky.

"Alright," said the waiter, "And you?" He nodded towards Little Hop, indicating that it was her turn to order.

As the others ordered their drinks, Moonbeam browsed the menu, trying to find something good with less of a kick than what she had the night before.

(The Master's going to be offline for a couple days, so let's just assume he's getting the same thing as Moonbeam)

After getting everyone's orders, the waiter asked, "Do you need a few minutes, or are you ready to order?"

Moonbeam looked up from her menu, "I'll have this," she said, pointing to a particular dish on the menu. It's name was in Prench, but the description made it sound delicious.

Star ignored the fact that she felt slightly cold and took a quick peek at the menu. Then, her eyes lit up and a smile spread across her face. "Prench onion soup...my mum always used to make this for my dad and I on cold nights...I would love some of that please." She said, beaming around at her friends. It had been a long long time since she had eaten this soup and she couldn't have been more excited...even over a simple soup.

(OOC: I think if you look at a map of Equestria its called Prance...like France. And I know they're still in Equestria, I was just saying that because there was French onion soup...Prench onion soup...heh heh.)

"So, Accent, dear," Jabber began, hoping to break the silence. "Ever been to Buffalo before?"

Unholy threw her book into her saddle bag and trotted off the train.

her hooves hit the soft grass and let out a warm sigh.

she laid down in the grass, the movement of her laying down sent dandelion fluffs flying into the air.

it was a beautiful moment, her sitting there, by herself. (perfect time for somepony to interact with Unholy)

a gentle breeze rippled through her hair as she pulled out her book from her saddle bag and set it in front of her.

she slowly ran her hoof over the page and smiled as she read.

"It looks closed Fiera...we should...find somewhere else to eat, or something." he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck with his hoof as he looked around for any other places to eat. He noticed one particularly busy street that he would rather not walk down, but there seemed to be a lot of ponies entering a particular building, and the smell of eggs caught his nose.

Oh, duh, Actius thought, we haven't even looked around the city yet. He mentally facehoofed before saying anything. "Oh, right! Yeah, sure. When I was here, I saw this nice little Itailian place, and I think it's only a few blocks away. There are also lots of cool shops I didn't get to look at. Where do you guys want to go?" Other than the theater, he hadn't really seen much at all of the city. It was a big place, and it would probably be more fun to explore with friends. Well, hopefully..

@@Windy Scamper,@,

Encore noted Dance's nod, and with Actius's agreement, smiled. "All right then." He steered the little group around and back up the winding lane towards Buffalo. The road did not seem as long on the return trip. "Back into Buffalo we go, then."

Once they reached the border of the city, Encore paused to examine a large map on the side of the road that pinpointed tourist destinations and 'Must-sees'. There was a zoo - whatever that was - and several small shops and restaurants. Small town, Encore mused. Quaint.

"So... Actius... You said something about an Itailian place?"

Hey, Jabber, bro, she put her scarf around ya'. That means don't screw this up.

Jabber hated the disembodied voice that nagged at him in these scenarios.

"No, not for a while. The last time I was here was to sell a couple dozen trombones to the- hey, this alley looks nice, doesn't it?" Quickly, he grabbed Accent and dragged her into the nearest alley, located between a sofa-and-quill shop and a bookstore. He peered around the corner and saw three large buffalo slowly making their way down the center of the street, absentmindedly scanning the throng of ponies emerging from the train station. He recognized them as the three parents who had led the mob that had tried to murder catch Jabber and demand their money back after they found that the trombones he had sold them were plastic knock-offs.

"So sorry, m'dear, but our morning will be a lot less pleasant if that bunch of buffalo find me. What say you to a little adventure?" He asked, already trotting deeper into the maze of alleys of Buffalo.

Straight-up romance? Ew, no. Also, @, does this seem familiar at all?  ;)

Fiera smelled the eggs as well. "Not quite cinnamon raisin bread..." she mumbled. "Looks like everypony from the train is going there. We might as well" she said and started heading to the building with Dusk. She was walking unusually close to him, her coat almost brushing up against him.

Accent nearly choked from the scarf around her neck when Jabber had pulled her into a alleyway and away from sight. Note to self... Before going off somewhere, carry an extra scarf...

"What the... How come the buffalo are trying to look for you? And, why are we going through so many alleyways?", she asked with a bit of a suspicious glance, and then yelping when a rat nearly crawled up her leg while they were walking.

"Last time I was in Buffalo, some business went bad." Jabber chose his words carefully so that he was not exactly lying to the mare - just not telling the entire truth. "It turns out that some of the items I were selling weren't of the quality advertised by the company. And of course, who does everyone try to run down and hang from a light post? Yeah, me." He decided not to mention that he knew the trombones were of crappy quality, even before the sale.

"Anyway, I think if we turn around this way, we should be right by the...blast!" They had come out right back by the train station. Thankfully, the trio of buffalo were nowhere to be seen. "Oi vey. Come along, love. Let's hurry to the restaurant." And with that he trotted at a brisk pace down the street, Accent's scarf keeping the cold from being too biting.

Silent smiled, ready to go eat woth her friends. She saw various buffalo around the city, just minding their own business.

They were soon seated, and the waitress came around to ask for their drink orders.

'Crap! I forgot, I have to actually interact with a stranger! Dang it! Um..'

She quickly wrote down her order and passed it up to the waitress. She saw it as odd, but went along with it. Silent blushed, now feeling very awkward.

"I'll take a Sprint*, please." The waitress jotted down Actius' order and looked to Encore for his. Actius took the moment to look around, and he was surprized by what he had missed - there was a sparkling fountain in a small little park, a smaller, more quiet-looking theater next to the large, showy one he had gone to, lots of little stores and shops. He would have to check some of those places out after lunch.

"It's such a nice day out today," he thought aloud, and it truly was.

Dusk noticed the look of disappointment on Fiera's face as she mumbled something about bread. He didn't quite catch it all, he was still concerned with not messing things up any further. As they set off walking, he noticed just how close she was to him, and he felt a tingle through his body. It just occurred to him right then, that he really enjoyed her being so close. He was claustrophobic normally, but with her being this close to him he actually felt really comfy, like he never wanted her to leave. His mind raced with so many thoughts it would be impossible for him to pick out just one, so he stayed silent, just enjoying the walk with rosy cheeks.
