Diamond nodded as Gladius flew up into the sky. She ruffled her feathers and just kept walking...assuming that Gladius would be able to catch up in a few minutes.

The palace was now within sight and ponies frantically ran around investigating the scene.

Icicle looked up because he heard ponies talking above him, only to see Gladius and Magnus talking in mid-air, Icicle saw how badly Magnus's flying was and called up to him. "OY! What do you think you're doing up there? i just healed your wounds and don't want to do that all over again! Get down here!" Icicle yelled out, he knew that Magnus was to weak to fly at the moment, but apparently he was not smart enough to know that!

"i have delt with fearsome griffons, i know how deadly they can be, but one that took out dozens of royal guards? this sounds very serious, tridents are very good at taking down griffons, i would suggest stock piling those, speaking of which, do you happen to know where i can get one? my last one broke in my last engagement with griffons, and could you point to me where i may sign up for this cities gladiatorial games? i plan on becoming this cities champion"

He had no idea what all the commotion was about, but felt quite nervous around all these armed ponies. Gladiators and soldiers alike swarmed around him. He was curious about this activity, but didn't want to be involved with all these brutes covered in metal.

Gladius gestured towards the arena with his foreleg. 

 

"The games are held over there and you should be able to buy any weapons and equipment you need there as well. It's not cheap, but it's good quality stuff. Almost as good as military issue, and that's saying something, believe me."

Icicle got out his vile and a book from his bag as well as a small foldable table placing the table on the ground he got his book ready, it was a special book only given to the people of his clan, it contained all the spells and incantations his people had ever created, and now he was about to use it again, to help a friend get a weapon.

Scar nodded and couldn't help but chuckle at Fire...she was being so awkward. "Yup...they're pretty good." He said, smiling and taking another sandwich half...leaving the last one for Fire.

Fire Runner smiled and took the last bit of sandwich.

She suddenly remembered something she had in her bag.

Fire looked through her saddle bag and found a necklace with a green feather, similar to the one she wore around her neck.

"here, take this." Fire said, handing it to Scar.

"its suppose to protect you from harm... but i also want you to have it because i think it'll look good on you." she added with a smile.

After a long rest, Vinyl awoke and walked into the main room of the temple, completely oblivious to the chaos that had just transpired. She sat in front of the statue of the goddess and admired in it's size and beauty, before meditating. She cleared her mind and focused on everything around her, taking in sounds and smells of the outside world. The stench of blood and death entered her nostrils as the sounds of disorder and pandemonium pounded at her eardrums. Her eyes sprung open and she was about to grab her blade, then go and see if she could help, but she thought it would be out of place for a mare to go out and fight. Instead, she threw on her robe, hid her blade underneath, and went about as if nothing had happened. She noticed a couple ponies flying around above the city and more armed guards than seemed usual

Scar smiled and led her down the hall towards the training yard...he didn't let go of her talon.

After a moment they walked out into a large courtyard. There was a small fighting ring in the middle and several practice dummies around the ring. There were also a few dummies in the air used by Pegasai or griffins.

Fire Slayer pulled himself out of the study to have another walk. He walked outside to see a group of dead guards. So he went down the other set of stairs parralel. Along his walk he began to daydream untill he bumped into a mare. He was about to apologise when he felt like taking a different approach.

"Hello Ma'dam. Are you enjoying rome?" He said with his typical emotionless tone.
