Blaze...from now on my name and avatar!

I DID IT!!!   I decided about which one of my self-drawn ponies will be my avatar and..well me, on MLP forums^^~ 

Well that is Blaze, when i first made a drawing of him, he was actualy a she, and it was an alicorn, so here i Decided Blaze to be me, as a pony! That is my re-draw with anatomy sketch(below the image) 

I am thankfull for *secret-pony's (DeviantArt) tutorials, they helped me A LOT with the wings!

 

Soo, here is BLAZE!!

 

 

NOTE: I redid the ear on this one and made a purple background, also some chages to shadow(I'm sorry i had no time for a full drawing today, I only managed to make an anatomy sketch, soo see ya later)^^

 

 

and here is the simple anatomy sketch(cleaned it up for ya^^)

Thanks for that, and, I currently have some ideas for other ponies, and, maybe i Will make Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash drawings(Love tha pegasus ponies)

Ye I mirrored it, sorry  , But only because if I didn't Blaze would look away from the post i write:D That's just a personal preference^^

Hey thanks!) I wasn't good from the first timу too(well not really THAT good now either)The more you draw the better you get! If you are ready to put effort to achieve some goals in drawing, then it depends on you only^^

Wow. There's quite some improvement here from your last drawing. You have to link to that wings guide, because the wings you've drawn here are better than any that I have ever tried to draw. xD

You really need to upscale your pony, though. Instead of leaving 90% of the drawing as background space, fill it with your drawing, and make it take the viewer's full attention.
Another thing you need to be wary of is colour scheme. Everything in this is very red. It causes the pony in the middle to lose defining structure, and can become an eyesore. In your spare time, I would suggest surfing for some information on colour theory, and guides on what colours work best with others and how to better your colour palette.

What size do you draw at, and what resolution do you use? Personally, I find it best to start my canvas in a landscape format, with a perfect 3:4 ratio. The canvas size is usually at 2048x1536. I have my resolution set at 300ppi(though as far as I know, switching from 72ppi(default web res) to 300ppi(print res) has little effect on the image whilst viewed on a screen).
Then, when finished with my drawing, I usually downsize it (keeping ratio aspect, or cropping/changing to fit the drawn image) so that the maximum dimension is at 1024.

Hm. Most of the comments I had prepared have already been said ;-; *tosses notestack into trash* though, something that I'd mention here (something that actually hasn't been mentioned, AHAH! >:3) is that the front leg that he's holding up is a little too... long? I guess you could say? It looks like that if you erased the front leg on the ground, the leg being held up could be the one that you erased... that was confusing, wasn't it.

 

Okay, in a nutshell: It would look better if the humerous of the leg were shorter, because normally, you really wouldn't be able to see so much of the elbow joint. Shorten it a little, and bring the leg up so he doesn't look like he's got a super long leg, and it'd look great!

 

Sorry if that came off as a little... weird and standoffish XD I'm working at these review things, but I'm not a naturally nitpicky person.

Hmm.. my size is 2400x1800(4:3) and 300ppi( i remember those from a loong time ago, from when I was drawing Hellsing).. i think that's enough for now but i will see if i can change somehow to improve my drawings!

Your canvas size is perfectly fine. My specific numbers are mostly just preference, so it's all good as long as the canvas is large.
Just remember to fill it with your pony. xD

Thank you!) I was thinking about re-drawing Blaze and that's what came out, so I decided that I want Blaze to be my OC, and yes, he has pretty much the same personality:D(shortly described, somepony, who doesn't really care at first, and then ends up doing good stuff and helping others out )

Good to hear. It's really important to know what colours look nice, and what colours burn the eyes of those who view the image. xD
