Yeah, they are pretty much the best background characters. Especially Octavia.

This fan club feels like its more Vinyl x Octavia fan club rather than Vinyl & Octavia fan club...

Thats not necessarily a bad thing or at leas not in my opinion, it just kinda feels that way. lol  :P

I was never a watcher of the show.  But became a brony mainly due to Vinyl and Octavia (vids on youtube, fanfiction, etc).  Def the best pair of the bunch (they so need a tv-sitcom show together!).

I love both Octavia and Vinyl because i'm a fan of both kinds of music they play. I listen to dubstep/electro/trap/house/etc. more then I do classic but I still do often enjoy sitting down at my computer, plugin my headphones in and then listening to some classic or even some jazz or rock ( Like my favorite singer Elvis Presley)

That is the cutest thing ever.

 

I adore both Vinyl and Octy, though I don't ship them... much. I tend to pair Octavia with one of her bandmates, and think of Vinyl as not interested in a relationship.

Yanno, I just thought of something. If Imperator Augustus (Rome's 2nd Emperor) was originally named Octavian.

 

What's that mean for our dear Octavia?

 

Royal Bloodline perhaps?  now, somepony use that in a backstory fan-fic!
