How Are You Different From Your Favorite Pony?

Aside from that I am a hateful, judgemental, and borderline racist monster who despises most people.

In my personal experience people that have that low of an opinion of themselves are not as bad as they claim to be, it usually the people with the inflated ego's that are the hateful, judgmental and borderline racist monsters.

I think the three things we all share in contrast with our favorite characters is that they're quadrupeds, another species, and fictional. As for specifics, for me, I'm not a DJ and I'm less laid-back (as fanfics portray, obviously).

Me vs. Rarity

She's a high maintenance drama queen with a passion for high culture and expertise in the latest fashion trends.

I'm a low maintenance, soft spoken guy with a passion for geek culture and throws on whatever's clean in his dresser drawer.  :P

That was too easy, so I'll go for my other favorite pony:

Me vs Sweetie Belle:

She's a little filly who's the youngest in her family with a great singing voice and is really striving to grow up and find direction and purpose in her life.

I'm a grown man who's the youngest in his family with a decent singing voice and is really striving to grow up and find direction and purpose in his life.

Okay, so it's pretty much just age, gender, and species. happy.png

In my case, I identify with nearly everything that Pinkie Pie does, and feels, with one or two exceptions...I am not a "party girl". In fact, I've had some fairly awful experiences at parties. While I've always desired to interact with people at parties, I tend to be ignored due to me being quite socially inept at times. Not only this, but in some cases, large crowds of people have actually bothered me, and I do need alone time...

That said, while Pinkie Pie's songs and performances generally annoy people, when I actually perform or write songs, people really do seem to get into them...Heh, modest, aren't I? wink.png

Well, I suppose I identify most with Pinkie and Twilight. Though I can easily identify with all of the ponies, and I think that is by design of the writers. (And oddly my favorite pony, Rarity, isn't one I identify with the most).

I may love to learn, like Twilight, but I'm horrid at getting homework done, and I don't freak over tests. Even as an adult I'll grumble about doing homework and tests are usually a walk in the park for me... then again I've never had an all powerful goddess/princess as my teacher, so I don't know. I'm also not strict about organization like Twilight, I do like things my way and in the order I put them, but my work spaces tend to be "organized chaos", like Rarity.

I don't suppose I mind parties, and I can have a lot of fun when I'm at the right one, but I'm not crazy about them like Pinkie is. I most drastically differ from Pinkie in the way that I don't make friend with everyone. I'm very selective about the people I hang out with, and usually they have to be able to tolerate me right back. I do love to sing though, and my emotions go from extremely high to extremely low regularly. I don't go bonkers like Pinkie does though, at least I haven't yet!laugh.png

For me, Rainbow Dash is my favorite.  I can't say I'm as sporty as her and I don't get full of myself or try to be all cool like she does.  I personally think I'm more like Twilight with her sarcasm and how she's humble.

Rarity is simply the best pony and I could never, ever top her.

I mean, I don't give a flying feather about fashion or how I look. My popularity and social standing is non-existent and I don't even come close to the refined taste Rarity has. Though I do have been taught numerous of times the correct etiquette and how to talk fancy since my family's rich and we tend to go to places high society gathers. I'm not as social and confident as Rarity is and unlike her I can't take a compliment. I do try to be as generous as she is but I don't think I could ever top her with that.

So yea, Rarity 'n me are from different worlds.

I did a search to find a topic like this, but couldn't find one. I'm still pretty new, though, and not exactly proficient with searching forums (I tend to suck at finding the right keywords...) Nevertheless... I have noticed that many of us identify with a particular character from MLP, usually a pony. We may find traits that seem to fit us so well (as in my case with Pinkie Pie). However, what doesn't fit? Think about it...How are you NOT like your favorite pony? In my case, for example, I identify with nearly everything that Pinkie Pie does, and feels, with one or two exceptions...I am not a "party girl". In fact, I've had some fairly awful experiences at parties. While I've always desired to interact with people at parties, I tend to be ignored due to me being quite socially inept at times. Hey there PinkiePieClone, just letting you know that there is indeed a topic like yours and I merged yours with it. Thanks for your understanding. :)

Anyway, there are probably a million ways that I'm not like Rarity, but her individualism is the #1 reason why I love her in the first place! :D

Differences between me and Twilight Sparkle:

Twilight:

1. She loves reading

2. Can do magic

3 She's well organized

4. Dedicated to her studies

Me:

1. I'm not big into reading

2. I can't lol

3. I'm a bit messy :)

4. Not that dedicated unless it's one of my special interests.

So yeah I'm a bit different from Twilight :)

My similarities with Dash extend to personality quirks...specifically, we're both extremely confident, determined, and ever so slightly cocky in a life where we strive to be the best at what we do. Where she's got the ultimate determination to be the fastest pegasus, like, EVAR, I too am far beyond driven in my life's quest to essentially "destroy my alarm clock" and make music my profession.

But that's probably where our similarities end.

Aside from the painfully obvious difference of me not being a winged equine, she's quite a bit more competitive than I am; whereas she's the type who'd prefer to test her mettle against others, I would personally opt for more co-operative avenues. If, for example, she and I were to play a game of Super Smash Bros. together, she would probably choose a free-for-all match and say "Show me what you've got!" I, on the other hoof, would say "How about a team battle instead?"

...And of course, there's the fact that she's a true athlete, and me...well, some nights it takes every last bit of willpower to trot my lazy, misshapen bum over to the gym. dry.png

My favourite is tumble up between Pinkie and Twilight. I am definitely not as good as a student as Twilight. I'm pretty good but not A++. I am also not happy-go-lucky 24/7 like Pinkie. (Who is, really?)

I am most like Rainbow Dash.

My favorite character is Rarity.  Despite me being rather artistic, i don't exactly have the skills to make dresses nor do i want to be surrounded by tons of people, and having them clinging to me or have them sucking up to me.

Rarity is a mare, and I'm a young man.

Rarity comes off as refined and poised, and I'm crude and tongue-in-cheek.

Rarity can make beautiful dresses, and I can barely through together a cosplay.

HOWEVER, we both:

Have fabulous curls.

Love our kitties.

Think Spike is adorable.

Apple Jack: honest, hardworking, farmer, good friend, southern, strong, stubborn

Me: southern, good friend, stubborn

As you can see, I am a little like AJ, but I am also very different from her.

Oh Goddamnit, I lost my entire post.

How am I different from Fluttershy?

I'm male

You_don%27t_say.png

Honestly, I'm a pacifist, I love animals, I have poor motor skills, I'm introverted, My friends don't play tricks on me, I am mature (Most of the time.) I give people a chance, I can be friends with most people and loud noises scare me ok, I'm also scared of heights.

But... I'm incredibly pessimistic and sometimes have trouble being nice to everyone.
