What are your interesting observations on the show?

So I just realized something during Magical Mystery Cure. So Applejack was running Carousel Boutique right? But there had been cobwebs showing it had been decrepit for quite some time. And Pinkie managed to kill every plant over at Sweet Apple Achres and that would take weeks if not months. Let's take a look at pony housing in this case, Applejack=Carousel Boutique, Pinkie=Sweet Apple Achres, Fluttershy=Sugarcube Corner, Rainbow Dash=Fluttershy's cottage.

Where did Rarity live?

The obvious answer is Rainbow Dash's house but seeing as unicorns can't walk on clouds without magical aid, and Rarity was seen in the rain multiple times.

Rarity was homeless. Likely for weeks. The episode just got 20% sadder.

Another observation is their Elements of Harmony were all given to them by Rainbow Dash's Rainboom.

Applejack stopped lying about who she was and wanted to be and became Honest with herself, Twilight's massive dormant Magic potential was released, Pinkie got her first taste of Laughter and loved it, went as far as to get a Cuite Mark in spreading it, Rarity Generously gave a buttload of gems away for free when she could have sold or kept them, Fluttershy Kindly soothed frightened animals, the race itself was Rainbow Dash's act of Loyalty to Fluttershy.

Anywho, what are intersting obseverations you've made on the show?

So I

Rarity was homeless. Likely for weeks. The episode just got 20% sadder.

The episode took place over the course of a day or two. No one switched places for more then several hours.

I think mine would have to be that Chrysalis is essentially a succubus, that was the biggest thing I've ever seen someone sneak past the network censors in my life.

Suited For Success is really an episode about executive meddling. Rarity represents the show staff, and the other mane characters represent the executives.

None of the crystal ponies have horns or wings.

There are probably 6 cutie mark crusaders in Equestria. Not just 4.

Spitfire should not be a wonderbolt. I think Rainbow Dash is going to replace her one day.

Flim and Flam represented modern free market economics, while the Apple family represented a simpler age where only the people who actually know how to farm can make money selling produce.

And despite having nothing against the concept of free enterprise, I look out at this consumer wasteland of a city and can see exactly where the writers were coming from. Like I said once before, if putting up with the Flimflam Brothers was the price Ponyville had to pay to usher in a sophisticated economy...they can afford to wait longer.

Spike

He could probably be the most interesting character in this show

How stable is Spike?

Think about it he has no parents, he knows nothing about how he was brought up, he is brought up by an entirely different species then him, he ages slower then the rest of the cast, and he has a boss-big sister-mother-friend relationship with Twilight.

I mean what is going on in Spike's mind. How insecure do you think he is

Is his personality just a shell he psychologically made to suppress his trumas?

Is there more to spike then he let's on?

Sorry but I have been over thinking things.

How do you know?

I'm sorry but if you rewatch the episode, Carousel Boutique was covered in spiderwebs. Those don't form in hours. Pinkie killed all the trees in Sweet Apple Acres and trees that previously well taken care of don't die in hours. I'll give you points for Twilight if you want though, she probably wouldn't mope for more than a couple of days.

It may have been artistic license on the part of the writers, exaggerating the damage done to drive the point home, it is a cartoon after all.

Granted it could be, but that still does not gurantee that it was hours. I still believe it would be at least two or three days.

On the subject of episode timespan, Putting Your Hoof Down had one of the longest episode timespans in the series. It explicitly takes at least a few days (showing several different morning and afternoon scenes), and is suggested to take place over weeks. I just thought it was interesting, especially because most episodes in the show only focus on one day.
