Umm the CDC already released a zombie prep guide a few years ago. They did it right after the walking dead seeing how they failed in the TV show. Its very vauge but they have a plan to stop zombies.

I didn't know they were that desperate to have a good reputation. That doesn't make it any less ridiculous that the CDC actually responded to a work of fiction that only peripherally criticized them, and it was just for the sake of plot. I doubt Walking Dead was meaning to raise awareness about the CDC.
