I would assume you wouldn't care if someone were offended, as you seem to be very militant against religion.

 

However, it's a rather short-sighted and unthoughtful move to suddenly bash religion and those who are religious without any real provocation at all.

 

I'm not saying that having debates is wrong, or that one should not voice their opinions. It's just that there's a time and place for such things, and blurting out your hate for religion in a formerly tame and all-inclusive chat is somewhat insensitive, in my opinion.

His original post wasn't even preachy, though. It was simply something he wrote in the style of the Bible's creation story, since he writes as a hobby. If he wanted to talk about Deism, I'm sure he would have brought it up in some other fashion.

 

It's fine, just remember that overtly forcing your anti-religious sentiments like that can lead to an appearance of hypocrisy, due to many complaints made against the church/other religious organizations.

As the Royal Protector of Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, you, Corvo Attano have just returned from a diplomatic trip asking other island nations for aid against the plague only for the Empress to be murdered by assassin's possessing black magic. Framed for the murder, you are thrown in prison by the Royal Spymaster turned Lord Regent, Hiram Burrows who has taken the opportunity to seize control of the Empire. In prison though, you are visited by a mysterious entity known as the Outsider who is intrigued by you and gives you his mark, instilling you with magic similar to the assassins who killed the Empress. Because he is neither good nor evil, he leaves you to your own devices with the power to exact revenge. Helped by a conspiracy of loyalists who wish to destroy the Lord Regent's corrupt rule, you now go out to get revenge on the men who killed the Empress, framed you, and are now ruling Dunwall.

 

"The Knife of Dunwall" is a parallel story in which you play as the master assassin Daud, the man who killed the Empress.
