It was quite popular for little girls to ask for a pony for their birthday and Christmas. The price of actually buying one is astronomical, not to mention caring for one.

 

I don't plan on spending like 500$ for a plushie that's too much, but crafters these days are way too unfair with their prices

 

Check Etsy and see if you can find a skilled plushie maker.

Eliza on the forums prices aren't too bad, and they're pretty good quality too. I wouldn't spend over $120 on one though, and $500 is financial suicide.
