What do you think of Lapis Lazuli and Asteria?

 

I'm going to be completely honest with you, not only do they rate highly on my checklist, but I actually love both characters. No, seriously… I really do greatly enjoy reading posts that contain either one or both of them, because the dynamic that you've created between the two characters is something that, honestly, I've only rarely seen.

 

Lapis, by himself, is, in the natural, not an overly endearing character. However, Asteria humanizes him to the point to which you really do care what's happening with Lapis. Even when she is absent, the fact that Lapis cares for her, misses her, and considers her to be his younger sister is something that is such a powerfully emotional attribute. That one attribute makes me really want to emphasize with Lapis and to try to imagine his thinking processes.

 

I'm going to be honest with you, if it seemed as though I was stalking you to bring you into one of my RP games, that's true. I actually was. You see, I read through many, many character descriptions before I created my own, and Asteria and Lapis were among the ones that stuck out to me. They were unique. In the entire character database, I had wandered across nothing like them.

 

Frankly, I consider it an honor to be able to participate in an advanced RP alongside you.

You know, you don't have to bring the entire Lovecraftian mythos for the RP, a single infestation inside a library or hospital can do, and the RP will ends as soon as one pony successfully escape or everypony is dead.

On another note: On the recommendation of someone, I decided to check out something called the Angry Video Game Nerd series. I understand it's well known.

 

But why is it funny? For the most part the guy has, like, this fetish for feces. He uses fecal references in almost every other word, when he's not ranting with profanity or other things like that. I mean, if he'd drop the constant crap he'd probably be fairly amusing, but good grief, the focus for feces is quite disgusting. (But then, I have a fecalphobia.)

I got it. So I am now at fully able to use the internet. No more clumsy mistakes. No more awkward typing. No more tiny screen. I never realized how big my laptop screen was... When they say 'you don't know what ya got 'til ya lose it', they really mean it.

Well, I'm a bit embarrassed. I didn't expect this. I guess the whole 'humanizing' thing was kind of what I was going for. I had originally created Lapis Lazuli to be a puppet I could use to interact with the pony world. I based him off of a part of my personality. But somewhere along the way, Asteria was created. I can't recall why I made her, but she just happened. Looking back on it, I guess I wanted to make more than one OC, and I ended up lumping them together. They actually went through a lot of changes until they became the ponies you see today. I'm glad you like them, especially Lapis. This will definitely help me write my catch up post.

Actually....I don't think that's gonna happen. I think she will receive help...and that she'll sabotage Twilight. Somehow.
