movies/tv Least favourite Disney sequel/midquel/prequel

Out of all the Disney sequels, midquels and prequels, which one is your least favourite?

My least favourite is definitely Tarzan 2. I felt the idea of Tarzan trying to discover his species was weak for a main plot and Mama Gunda was quite a disappointing main villain.

Another one I never liked was the Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. Due to its light tone, to me, it did not really feel like a Notre Dame sequel and the evil plot to steal a bell just felt generic.

Well to be honest most of them are terrible which is why they went straight to VHS/DVD instead of theaters.. (most of them anyway) I'd have to say my favorite was Lion King II because it felt totally believable and it was a cute modern day African verson of Romeo and Juliet. The Toy Story sequels were all very good as well but that was probably because they had Pixar involvement and Pixar doesn't cut corners. My least favorites are like Mulan II Lady and the Tramp II.. etc... The first movies were all better.

Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar was pretty sub par. Even as a kid, I knew its production quality was crap compared to its predecessor. Liked King of Thieves, though.

Fox and the Hound 2. Literally horrible!

First, when did it take place? Before the 1st? It made no sense time wise. Second, getting B rated actresses to play a singing dog in a band, was just really bad. I mean, c'mon!

But, most direct to Disney VHS/DVDs are horrible.

This is tough. I definetly liked the Lion King 2 though, even if a few songs weren't that great, Zira still scares the crap out of me and I'm in love with Kovu.

I'd say Lion King 1.5 or any Lilo and Stitch sequel were bad moves on Disney' s part.

Hunchback of Notre Dame II.

Just--just...

Sigh.

CITRUS KING's Top 7 Reasons why HBON 2 sucks.

1. It looks awful, and while that may be a given with these sequels, it's especially bad here. Disney Toon's lower end animation becomes much more noticeable when the first movie relied on bigger scale visuals, like this. They can only afford to have like 10 people on screen at once, while the first had crowds of thousands. There is not nearly as much artistic flare or attention to detail, and the cinematography is lame. Just watch the first movie. You get chills whenever they show the Notre Dame on screen. In this movie, you get the runs.

2. How do you follow up the greatest animated villain of all time, a genocidal, perverted, public official with immense power who represented the dark side of religious dogma and was reminiscent of real life monsters?

A fat gay man who wants to steal a bell.

3. The first movie is based on one of the greatest works of Victor Hugo's career. This one is not. It seems to have been written by a monkey.

4. The romance is bland as shit and is uninteresting. Quasimodo doesn't even need a love interest; that's what made the first movie unique (among other things). It all makes this movie feel the most fan-fic-y of the sequels outside of Lion King 2.

5. The first movie had meaning and a reason to tell its story. This movie's plot is pointless to the max. Really guys? A bell with diamonds in it? Really?

6. The songs. Good Friggin Lord, the songs.

7. Get out of my life, Haley Joel Osmet.

Rise of Skywalker

yeah, I’m pinning this one on Disney along with Lucasfilms. Piece of shit singlehandedly destroyed my interest in the series just for how horrible it ends the entire saga

All because the Death Star II and the Emperor's throne room had a stupid secret room to the left:lostit:

Mulan II. I remember being so excited to see it after loving the first film and then just being so disappointed after it ended. Absolutely nothing happens in it. To me, it really felt like it lacked the soul and effort that made the first one so enjoyable.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I haven't seen a lot of them, though from what I can tell, the majority are shovel-ware, straight to DVD garbage, so they're probably better off avoided.

As far as cinematic releases go, I thought that Frozen 2 was pretty bad. Apologies in advance to any fans of the series. :rarity:

Rise of Skywalker was also really weak, but I don't think that's a contentious opinion.

I thought Frozen 2 was bad as well, it was very convoluted and the ending seemed to throw out the whole point of original Frozen’s ending

I guess I'll go with Frozen 2, too.

However, my reason is because I don't remember anything about it except for the autumn backgrounds. :please:

Definitely Mulan 2. No action, no suspense, flat jokes, forced happy ending and Mushu being a massive jerk.

I think my favourite would be both Lion King sequels. LK2 is written very well and LK1/2 is a guilty pleasure for me.

I agree with Mulan 2. And The Lion King 2 was actually very good despite everyone hates it. I even think it's as good as The Lion King 1. Honestly. But 1 1/2 focused too much on my least favorite characters; Timon and Pumbaa
