The Crystal Empire Or Magical Mystery Cure?

I quite liked both, though my vote would have to go with TCE.

 

It was a good start-off for the season, nicely spring-boarding from A Canterlot Wedding, introducing a new setting, Sombra, the crystal ponies, fleshing out Cadence and Shining Armor a bit as the Crystal Regents, and set the stage for Twilight's eventual princesshood.

 

MMC was alright, though I felt it could've been built up a bit more. I would've thought that something as big as a main character's coronation would at least be a two-parter with more buildup, but, meh, what can you do?

Magical Mystery Cure

I really like the songs (Specialy what my cutie mark is telling me) And also I find the hole idea was very good. However the first half feels way too rushed and should have been its own episode. However the second half is perfect the way it is and makes up for the problems I have with the first half. Also This episode is one that has left a big impact for me, since it really makes you look back at the rest of the show and feel proud of Twilight and the others. Seriously, I almost cry of joy at the end.

The Crystal Empire

Story:  I think they had a good story idea,  which  got us more  Armor also and seeing he

be bad ass!  Which also gave out more of the history of the show if anything.  I did feel

rushed a bit like the ending sadly  but  it gave Spike also more show time so i would say it

was 3/5 out of everything.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the Crystal Empire, I think I'll have to go with Magical Mystery Cure. It was nice to have an almost all singing episode for a change, because it had a sense of variety. Plus I really enjoy the music in mlp: fim, so i thought that MMC was a great episode!

I liked The Crystal Empire, and I feel that MMC is the second worst episode in the series, so the choice was obvious. TCE does have its flaws, but they aren't big enough for me to hate the episodes.

I have a lot of difficulty understanding MMC.  There are a lot of things that I still don't understand about that episode (all of the cutie mark madness that everyone above mentioned, what exactly the completed version of Starswhirl's spell did, what the starry dimension is, and other).  I found TCE quite a bit easier to follow for the most part, didn't feel as rushed, and, honestly, thought that it had a more engaging story.  So yeah, I chose TCE.

Honestly for me, I was super hyped up for the opening for Season 3 since I was waiting for it for such a long time, while Magical Mystery Cure wasn't hype as I thought I would of been. I mean sure, it's the last episode for MLP for a while but it still didn't get me excited as much as The Crystal Empire did.

I definitely loved The Crystal Empire more than the finale, a tiny bit disappointing for King Sombra but I didn't really care too much to complain. But I did love how they actually put Spike in a major role instead of using him as a 'background' character. It was nice to see Shining Armor and Cadence again as well because I thought they were just 'one-episode characters'.

Magical Mystery Cure made me kind of skeptical about the Twilicorn thing at first but now I don't care either way, I'll support Twilicorn if everyone really thinks it's whats best, I'm just not going to have a big rant about it. The episode was more of a musical but I still liked every single song c: some more than others but there wasn't one I didn't dislike.

That's a hard one. I'd have to say Magical Mystery Cure, while it is true they could of spaced it out a bit more (a 2 parter would have been great). I still loved all of the songs especially "True True Friend" Daniel Ingram and William Anderson did a great job producing the music for the show, liquid pride all over the shop....
