music Why are bands like Nickleback and Creed hated

I have a question that's been bugging me for a while, why do people dislike Nickleback and Creed with a burning passion?  I mean I can understand if it's not your taste, but even if you enjoy the type of music they play they are still universally disliked.  I understand that Nickleback are considered "sellouts".  I just don't understand.

I honestly think hating Nickelback is partially a joke. I think some of their songs are pretty good. I think people just hate them because the majority of the public hates them.

 

And I've never heard of Creed...

People hate Nickelback because Nickelback is terrible.

 

Most artists show growth and change in their style.  Nickleback is recycled over and over.

 

As for Creed, their first two albums were good, especially their first.

 

That's just my opinion, though.

Creed on the other hand, I have mixed feelings for. I like some of their songs, just not the ones that get all religious.

Let's face it, Creed sounds like a bootleg Pearl Jam. The singer even sounds like Eddie Vedder. As for Nickelback, Chad Kroeger tries too hard to be like James Hetfield. In my opinion, Coldplay is worse than both.

Nickelback doesn't deserve the hate it gets in my opinion. Sure, I dislike them, but they aren't the only band that's that style. I don't get why they're singled out. As for Creed, I never knew they got much hate. I don't really care for them either, but I don't hate them, I just don't choose to listen to them.

Most of nickelbacks songs from what I have heard well they sound like "country modern rock" if you want to put it that way. A lot of their songs don't appeal to me and the band hinder always make me mixed up with them. I just don't plain like them but then again who am I to judge? Their ballad songs make me laugh though.

Nickelback, i enjoy some of the songs, but they never seems to change their style, I like the band, honestly, i can understand why people dislike it, though.... and not the mention the Fanboys/Fangirls.

I kinda agree, I do like nickleback and I dunno who Creed is but those people work hard to make good music only to get other people stump on they're work and laugh at it just beacuse everyone else is doing it....

Nickelback is the one and only band that I just absolutely despise with a burning passion. Their music is so unbelievably horrible to me and it drives me insane whenever I hear it. I think a big part of why I hate them so much is because I would hear their songs all the time everywhere I go, and the songs just got sooooo annoying to the point where I wanna shoot myself whenever I hear their music. There are honestly a few of their songs that I can tolerate, but other than that...I hate them. 

 

I could go on and list several reasons why I think Nickelback is terrible and one of the absolute worst bands that ever existed, but meh...

First off, I really liked Creed's first and second albums. After that they seemed to become Pearl Jam worshippers.

 

As for Nickelback? Their music all sounds the same, lyrics and vocals are repetitive and boring, and they're world famous for it. They're swimming in cash for playing the same 3 chords over and over again while singing about the exact same thing as 10 years ago.

Their lyrics are the worst I have ever heard!!! Their music all sounds the same, the vocals are annoying as hell, they have little to no talent, they are extremely uncreative, etc.

Yeah i dislike both of those bands with a passion. They both sound like awful radio recycled grunge. As kurt would say they were both radio friendly unit shifters. That whole post-grunge era was pretty naft. There just was no soul to it.

Nickleback is freaking awful. The exact same sound and exact same lyrics, and they are still popular. How?!

 

As for Creed, they sound a lot like Pearl Jam, which is good imo, I love PJ. Creed's first 2 albums were great as stated by so many before
