I can agree with most of your post concerning how a Changeling is born, minus the part I quoted. That just seems a bit to strange for my personal liking.

 

 

 

"classes" has a certain gene in their genetic code that has not fully developped. They may not have cutie marks but as they grow up these genes are tested, they evolve, the genetic code fills and they finally reach to an "evolution". Like lets say... agility has silent steps, elastic body/slippery scales e.t.c., magic/intellect changelings gain mastery in magic like illusionism, elemental magic, healing spells, and stuff like that. Strength changelings gain more muscle, hardy scales that persist on their transformations like armor, spikes on their scales e.t.c. 

 

 

I like the idea of there being 'classes'. Looking at your descriptions of them, I'd say that my Changeling, Diliges, falls under the espionage (transformations and the like) class, but he has a knowledge of how to get under someone's skin. The fellow has changed a good bit from my original idea of him. Originally he was a little cheerful/playful/happy in a way. But now he is satirical, and his sense of humor is of a somewhat satirical nature as well. But that's besides the point.

 

I like the idea of Changelings having some individuality in their personalities (like Diliges for instance). Despite his sometimes morbid personality he loves (more of a respect kind of thing than genuine love, not the 'tangible' kind, as you put it) his Queen and his fellow Changelings. In reading Egophiliac's 'Moonstuck', I have come across another fact of Changeling culture that I'll be introducing in my own personal head-canon of Changeling history. It is that it is the Queen's duty to allow her followers to feed. They feed off the love she feels for them, and likewise she feeds of the love for her, but in the past many years that fact has changed, and they now require feeding off of other species.

 

As for them looking like each other: I just like to think this is a fact of their biology, something they can't really help.

 

I like the idea of Changelings being connected by the Hive Mind (sorta like Daleks to a degree, now that I think about it). If we don't introduce the fact that all Changelings can communicate to each other, and it is only the Queen, that if she is connected to more than one Changeling, they can all hear what the others are saying, and speak themselves. If we want to pool that in a sense, make it so that all the Changelings present in this RP are able to do that, but not all Changelings in general, I'd say it's something that comes with rank. For instance, the Queen can communicate to all Changelings. Cicada, who serves as her second in command, would be able to communicate with the Captains, who can mentally communicate to all the Changelings under their command, and through the Captains, a second in command could communicate to the Captain's soldiers. That would require Diliges to be contacted by them first, rather than him connecting to them, since they both outrank him.

If things go the way my mind has predicted (and you can never really trust how you think things will go in an rpg like this), the whole thing may eventually gain the attention of government. But likewise, I'd things go how I imagine they might, Logan may end up doing some things that would be frowned upon in order to help the Equestrians. But we'll have to see how things happen.

I was thinking Logan may be at least acquainted with someone, since he's been over most d the states due to his brother teaching at USAFA, and his dad being a bit of a travel nut growing up. Though who he'd know, I'm not sure. As I mentioned before, he has friends who are fans of the show, so maybe he asks them if there's any way he can get in touch with others that might have found Equestrians. Perhaps one of them is a forum goer that has interacted with Tommy online? Does that sound feasible, @ (David for the win, by the way.)

 

Plus, @@Mister G, I could use your reply here so I can try and continue things with Logan and Twi, plus Diliges. If you did reply here previously, I am blind and apologize.

There's also the Hive Mind, as in changelings can connect with any other changeling psychically. I think that would be useful in the changelings all finding each other, especially since they'd be harder to find than the pony humans. XD

If you like, you could have Queen Chrysalis use the Hive Mind to contact Cicada. It would be logical, as Cicada was next to the queen when the spell hit.

Morrigan was in Chicago, which means Rarity is in Chicago as well. Or was that only her other character? I'm going to assume it's both. My character is in Chicago as well, so he could find you if no-one objects to me being paired with multiple ponies. Personally, I don't mind.

I never specified where Diliges was, merely that he was inside. So if need be I can make him 'port to wherever a human in need of an Equestrian, (Jack, Cat and Charles) is and have that happen.

I am the only other one with a Changeling, Diliges. He is a Captain by rank, thus the lowest ranking out of the three, so he relies on Chrysalis and Cicada to contact him should they happen to want to speak with him.

Most of them believe it because the ponies did just appear right in front of them...out of nowhere. (Most of them at least)
