I'm a pretty big introvert IRL. Not to mention that my trust with people is low when it comes to strangers. I don't really start opening up till I know for sure I can trust person with my personal things. It takes more or less time depending on the person. I do like being alone or to myself a lot when I want to think about things, but those who I care for, I tend to be very playful with and will love dearly. I'm a bit of careful person with strangers. I don't exactly let first impressions effect my opinion of a person, it's there general behavior in every day life and their personality I look at. If I find that I can like a person, I'll open up a bit more. But if I end up disliking a person, I'll back off and shut myself off from them.

Some of what you said describes me too. Generally I'm an introvert. (We've got a lot of introverts here!) However, I'm not as introverted as I used to be. I've gradually become more relaxed even around strangers. I'm still a little introverted though. I don't like being in the spotlight and I'd prefer to be in the company of only 1-2 of the people closest to me.  :fluttershy:

I'm in between introvert and extrovert (like 50% Pinkie and 50% Fluttershy). It honestly depends on the situation. Like if I'm at school, I'm kinda quite, while if I'm outside of school or with friends I'm a major extrovert. I used to be an introvert 100% of the time. Now I'm a lot more outgoing and I try to hang out with my friends whenever I can.

I'm very outgoing when others are around, and I would never ditch somebody to go be alone. That said, I do really enjoy being on my iPad or XBOX and just letting my imagination run wild. But, even then, when I'm online I tend to either hit up this forum or a car blog that I'm a part of, so even in my "alone time" I'm pretty outgoing.

So, yeah, pretty much an extravert.

Definitely an extrovert. I love meeting and talking to new people. Although being alone sometimes is nice as well.  :squee:

Introvert, I am not anti social at least most of the time I am not but even pleasant social situations can be exhausting to me so some me time to recharge is crucial. When it comes to social interaction I prefer quality over quantity, I have a few eccentricities that not everyone will understand.

Most certainly an introvert. Even though I think my "socialness" is improving a fair bit, I don't think I can really change my personality. I prefer to rest at home and persue personal interests rather than go to parties or socialize with large volumes of unknown people.

Introvert. I can't tell you how many times current events have to be explained right out to me. Facebook, the twitter-sphere, all of this instantaneous connection is something I have a very touch and go relationship with because of or resulting from my largely indifferent attitude toward it.

It's not that I'm apathetic to the world or it's problems but unless there is something constructive to do about global events, it doesn't make a lot of sense to comment on them when very likely someone has already said what I was going to say but better.

No the lion's share of my energy is directed inward. My constant quest is one of self-discovery. Why do I feel this way? Is a constant question on my mind. Religion, spirituality, philosophy, and media consumption have been the orders of my day for the past couple years and I use all as tools of self reflection.

As pretentious as this sounds, I do believe that I am an "ambivert" if that's what its called :P

I love talking to people, and I'm often the center of attention in a group (that's if I'm talking to them), and I can do allllll the talking.

Of course I do get tired of people

Then... come the books :3

Essentially, if you ever see me sitting with a group, I'm either the one in the center talking rather quickly with all of the hand gestures, or I'm sitting at the edge quietly reading a book.

So yeah, mix of both

I tend to keep quiet around strangers, because opening my mouth usually doesn't get me far. That changes around friends that don't mind my quirks, though. I have no problem having a long conversation with someone I know well, and being kind of weird sometimes is practically my speciality. My friends tend to be people who aren't a dick to me because I like to do different stuff sometimes.

I'm definitely an introvert. An INTJ, in fact.

Many people think I'm an introvert simply because I'm quiet and I don't like to go up to people randomly to talk. In reality, I am a shy and socially awkward person who secretly has an extrovert inside her waiting to come out and suprise everybody!

I consider myself to be introverted. (It's surprising how nearly 80% of the poll-takers voted introvert. Maybe introverts tend to browse forums more often?)
