music MLP Forums' Greatest albums of all time (Rules in the OP)

I took some time to think this over but I am going to go with, Journey: Greatest Hits released in 1988 and re-released in 2006. Besides the fact that I love Journey this album has really left its mark in music history, it spent 760 weeks on the Billboard pop charts (which is more than any other compilation album in history) and in December of 2008 was rated the sixth Highest rated greatest hits package in the US. Also it is a pretty solid album with hits such as; Don't Stoop Believin', Open Arm, and Separate ways (Worlds Apart)

Alright, let's get some J-Core albums to the list

I'll nominate "Answer from X-Girlz" by t+pazolite, one of my favorite J-Core albums ever

Are we honestly nominating albums from this year? I would wait at least another 12 months before judging anything that came out so recently.

Anyway, I'm gonna nominate "God Hates Us All" by Slayer, my favorite album of theirs (inb4 y u no reign in blood).

Feels like every page has at least one Slayer nomination... might as well keep the trend going. Anyway, my next nomination is "Divine Intervention" which is my second favorite Slayer album (after South of Heaven)

Why is there no Swans on the list yet? One of the finest bands in experimental everything. Put "Soundtracks for the Blind" on the list.

It's really long, but it's also rewarding on a level that I can't begin to describe.

This album right here is easily by far one of the greatest albums I have listened to in a very very long time. I am ashamed of myself of not finding out about Social Distortion just until now. If you like Rock n' Roll in general give this album a hear it will not disappoint. Every track on this album is great imo.

I've got a couple albums I want to nominate, so hurry up and post lol.

I update the list whenever I can, not when you tell me to.

Nominating The 2nd Law by Muse. I'm frankly shocked that Muse isn't anywhere to be seen.

Maybe because Muse is overrated AF.

Haunting the Chapel isn't on there just saying.

Anyway, I'm gonna nominate "God Hates Us All" by Slayer, my favorite album of theirs (inb4 y u no reign in blood).

Show No Mercy is personal favorite Slayer album, I've listened some of God Hates Us All and I really like what I've heard so far.

I prefer Mommy's Little Monster and self-titled but Social Distortion has always been good.

Anyways, I'm gonna nominate In the Nightside Eclipse by Emperor. I'm glad I bought the CD, it was so worth the $13 and two week wait for it to get delivered to my house.

I'll nominate "Cyclick" by DJ Sharpnel. Personally my favorite album by him, while I feel it's kind of underrated :/

Maybe because Muse is overrated

I used to like Muse a lot, until I started to listen to Radiohead, Queen, and Pink Floyd, then I realized that Muse are just a salad filled with everything that's already been done in the past, now I can't take them seriously anymore.

But anyways I'd like to nominate Blue Record by Baroness.

Ehh. I probably shouldn't have added that first part, but you misunderstood. I was in no way telling you to hurry and update. If I was I would have said "Hurry up and update the list."

I never liked Muse at all. I'd much rather listen to Radiohead, Nirvana, The Pixies, Sonic Youth, etc.

Anyways, I'm gonna nominate Welcome to Hell by Venom. We have plenty of Slayer so why not some Venom?

Like I said before, I update the list whenever I have the opportunity to update it. Just because you tell me to "hurry up" doesn't mean I'll actually "hurry up".

I guess I'll nominate another album. The Sound of Madness by Shinedown.

Whatever you say then, you seem to be into hard rock I'm assuming. Hard rock is simply to bland for me.

I'm gonna nominate Pleasure to Kill by Kreator, it's a killer thrash album.

Where the hell is Pig Destroyer on this list? I'll take the initiative and nominate "Prowler in the Yard," my favorite grindcore record by a mile.

Hm, what to nominate... I'll go with City of Evil by Avenged Sevenfold first, probably my personal favorite record of all time. img-1481464-1-biggrin.png

Ha Ha, you like Avenged Sevenfold. Yes, it's my job to insult other people's taste in music. I get paid for it ya know.

I just noticed that this list has no Sepultura, I'm going to nominate Arise by Sepultura. Some good metal shit rite durr.

They still suck lol.

Well, since this list is going to get spamed with crappy A7x album I might as well spam it with godly Sepultura albums. I'm nominating Chaos A.D..

I'm getting sleepy and I wanna nominate one last album, I'll choose The Downward Spiral since the wrong Nine Inch Nails album is on the list, and if I already did nominate that one then I'll nominate The Fragile instead.

Don't think I'll nominate any more from them, I don't like Sounding the Seventh Trumpet or their self-titled album enough to call them the greatest of anything honestly(although I still like a lot of the songs on both of them). :P

I think next I'll go with Decemberunderground by AFI.

Okay, I've just about had it with you. I'm starting to consider putting you on my ignore list because I'm just really getting fed up with you constantly bashing things over and over and over.

And just for that, I'm nominating another A7X album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. I'm not gonna nominate their self-titled album cause it's pretty mediocre compared to their other albums.
