The ground outside the docks of Baltimare Harbor was filled with a thin sheet of glistening white, a sign that Hearth's Warming Eve was but a few days away. And in the harbor sat the grand, magnificent cruiser known as the S.S. Perennial. The ship, as its Captain could be heard drunkenly boasting from time to time, was the biggest, most luxurious, and most powerful cruise ship built in all Equestria. Many ponies rushed eagerly towards the dock, flashing tickets in hoof, as today was the day of the Perennial's maiden voyage, and as the brochure stated, everypony travelling on the cruise would find their special somepony, without a doubt. What could go wrong? Nothing, that's what.

Forefront among the ponies flooding towards the new cruise ship were two mares, one a pretty orange color, the other blue; one might guess they were siblings from the similarity in their blonde manes, each with a streak of maroon and indigo respectively, and from the familiar manner in which the orange dragged the blue, who was gazing off dreamily, towards the ship. 

 

"Come on, Moonstruck, we need to be the first ones there." 

 

The blue coated mare, who was Moonstruck, gazed at her sister reproachfully. "Now, Sunny, there's no need to rush. We'll get there. We may as well enjoy our time with Snowdrop." She reached out a hoof and caught one of the lightly falling snowflakes in it, cradling it gently. Sunny rolled her eyes. "Come on, Moonstruck, I told you not to call me Sunny. I'm Sunburst, remember?" Her tone was that of a rather impatient adult trying to explain something simple to a young child who simply couldn't understand English yet. "Besides, the Tale of Snowdrop is just an old legend. The pegasi have always been making snowflakes. Now come on!"
 

With a yank of the tail and a yelp of indignation, Sunburst dragged Moonstruck into the line of ponies waiting to board the ship.

Quick was dragging her suitcase along as she kept her DS suspended in front of her face, occasionally swerving past ponies. She soon stopped, closed the DS and put it in her saddlebag as she stood in the line to give her ticket to board the ship that loomed in front  of her

*Gee, not sitting down at a tv sure does feel wierd.* She thought.

Fire had already been on board the ship...she was told to arrive early to prepare her props for her performances. Luckily that was all she had to do and she was out sunbathing on the deck. All her stuff was unpacked, she had her silk's set up, and she was already slightly tipsy. It was a perfect start to a perfect day.

Despite it being a crisp, beautiful day in Baltimare Harbor, Windy Runner wasn't enjoying it a heck of a lot.

 

"Man, Baltimare's a dump! I can't wait to cast off and leave this place far behind! This cruise is gonna be totally kicking though! A swank new cruise ship, a Hearth's Warming Eve cruise, and a chance to take a break, relax, and eat way too much than is healthy!" The golden brown pegasus had his thoughts rudely interrupted as a carriage cut him off as he was stepping across the street. "Hey, I'm trotting here!" Windy yelled, shaking his hoof irately at the passing vehicle. "Idiot... Oh well, at least I wasn't turned into roadkill! And there's the ship! wow... Its humongous! I doubt I've ever seen anything this big before in my entire life!" Unable to contain his excitement, he spread his wings and took off towards the ship, touching down heavily on one of the entry gangplanks. Walking up the gangplank, bursting with excitement, Windy flashed his coveted ticket to the attendant, who waved him onto the ship. Practically giddy with anticipation, Windy began spinning on the spot in the entry area, drinking in the surrounding ambiance like a loon. 

 

"Windy, you're spinning in a circle like a little foal chasing his tail! So what? I don't care what I look like, I'm in for the time of my life! Fine, you can keep spinning like a doofus for all I care, just be sure to eventually get up to the cabin. Got it brain, you're the boss..." Windy thought absentmindedly as he continued gaping dumbly at the lavish ship.

Windy Scamper began to walk up to the docks of the S.S. perennial. She needed toime off from work. It wasn' t that anything had gone wrong. In fact, everything had gone great. She was nearly at the peak of her career. Multiple magic rings had invited her to preform, and her gigs were getting bigger and bigger.

 

In other words, she was starting to get stressed.

 

Her roadies had sugjested the cruise; a nice, Hearth's Warming Eve getaway. With all the money she had raked up, she actually could afford it. So she walked up to the dock, ticket in hand, and walked on board.

 

She marvelled at the sight of it, and nearly dropped her bags...which were soon given to a bellhop and taken to her room, as she just stood there gawking.

Firecracker sneaked into the back of the line for the S.S Perennial. Why is he going on the ship? Well, in the destination where he is going, there is a very valuable treasure called the Amethyst Grape. It is simply a valuable treasure that makes anyone instantly rich. This treasure is even more valuable than the treasure Daring Do found in her novels. Firecracker first heard about it when an anonymous tipper told one in millions ponies (Which was Firecracker) that such a thing exists. He was automatically convinced when the tipper showed him a picture of that treasure. So here is Firecracker waiting impatiently for the line to move faster. When he finally got to the front, he showed his ticket and went on board. It was Hearth's Warming Eve while on this trip, So this might small trip might be better than expected!

Having just finished his DJ Club Tour in Baltimare, Nightraxx moved on to see where his Travel will lead him to next. For this time, however, he heard about the new grand cruiser ship which was about to have her maiden voyage so he had decided to get himself a ticket.

 

Having observed the chaotic boarding procedure from the back row, Nightraxx approached the big gathering group of ponies at the ticket taker.

 

"This sure is a fine and big cruiser, all right. What kind of ponies will i meet, boarding such a great ship?"

 

He took his Luggage, which included his musical equipment and showed his ticket to the ticket taker. He then continued onward to the Deck, which was crowded with Passengers.

Ocean was having a terrible time boarding the ship. She was having to stop ponies from taking her bags, she was having trouble finding her ticket and three ponies had cut in line in front of her.

 

A few minutes later (That felt like hours to Ocean) She was finally walking up the gangplank.

She felt a little nervous about being on a ship in the middle of the ocean surrounded by other ponies...it was nice being in the middle of the ocean...but being surrounded by other ponies meant she was almost always being watched, which was something she wasn't very found of.

She made it up onto the deck and began the long tiring search for her room.

Nightfall hadn't been exactly early; in fact, he had nearly been late, by his standards. He boarded the ship fine enough, and got to his room after walking through the maze that made up the halls. He set his things in his room, then got up and went aft to get ready for departure.

Violet Wisp was determined to make it to something on time, as she never really did. I cannot miss this ship, or I'll be spending Hearth's Warming Eve on my own in my flower shop again, Vi thought to herself. Luggage in tow, she trotted up to the gangplank, flashed her ticket, and began boarding the ship. Since it was snowing lightly, the gangplank was damp, and Violet almost slipped. Re composing herself, she fully boarded the ship and began the search for her room. Mostly unfamiliar faces flashed as she moved through the small crowd already aboard.

Up the gangplank the two sisters went. Sunburst, naturally, was still holding Moonstruck's tail like a leash. Once they got on the ship, though, after handing over their tickets, Sunburst released her sister's tail. She was on the ship, and that was enough, apparently, or maybe Sunburst was merely tired of pulling Moonstruck around.

 

"Come on, the tickets say we're in Room 238." She set off down the ship and into a stairwell at a brisk trot, obviously expecting Moonstruck to simply follow her. But Moonstruck had other plans, it seems. She began to drift the other way down the deck of the ship, so serenely it might seem that she was there entirely by accident. And, actually by accident, she bumped into a dark-coated pony that was carrying some sophisticated looking equipment. @,

A grey unicorn had boarded the large ship. Early, as per her usual. "I need to stop accepting gifts." The mare muttered. She wasn't the biggest fan of water. Or many ponies being in the same area. Of course, the ticket was a gift from one of her closest friends. Originally, that friend was going to go herself, but was busy. Though the mare was not told what her friend was busy with. Regardless, it was a nice thought that the mare certainly couldn't decline.

 

"This could be fun... Anyway." The unicorn said. She stood on basically the opposite of where other ponies were boarding, basically. Her burnt orange mane was A slight mess, as well, having rushed. The mare kept her things with her, not sure where to put them, exactly. She could always find out later.

 

Only A few ponies were here now, thankfully. The area was sure to be quite busy soon, though.

Now that Ocean was on the ship...she was lost...really lost.
She was looking down at her ticket when she bumped into somepony.
"Oh...my apologies." She said, picking up a few books that had fallen from her bag. She looked up to see an orange mare and...another mare who looked like she had just arrived. "Sorry...I was..um...i'm lost."

Scamps sawan orange mare off in the distance. She walked over to her and smiled. "Hi," she said casually. "What brought you on this ship?" She quickly stuttered, feeling that was a bad things to start out with. "I...um, I mean, just out of curiousity." She mumbled afterwards.

Sunburst brushed her blondish mane out of her eyes, and looked around at the mare who had approached her. "Well, I just thought some fresh sea air would do..." Her voice trailed away as she noticed that Moonstruck wasn't there anymore. She groaned softly. "...My sister some good. And it looks like she's wandered off again." Her voice was very clearly exasperated. 

 

She shot a quizzical glance a pretty teal mare who had bumped into her. "No worries," Sunburst murmured.

Scamps was quickly interuppted as a mare bumped into her. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I seem to being blocking pathways." She mumbled. She offered a hoof to help the mare up. "Again, I'm really sorry about that. My name is Windy Scamper, by the way." She added, in a lame attempt to make a friend.

Quick had already given her ticket and was trotting her merry way up the boardwalk to the boat, humming various gaming tunes along the way. (OOC: take a guess... I'm not giving the answer) She was paying absolutley no attention to anything for longer than a few seconds, most of these spent evading other ponies as she walked down the boat.

Ocean put her books back into her bag before glancing down at her ticket. "I'm in room 210...and I cant seem to find it. I'm rather hopeless when it comes to these kinds of things." She said, in her usual calm quiet Trottingham accent. "Any idea where that may be ?" She asked.

Meanwhile, a young black mare was beginning to trot, er, tip hoof, up the gangplanks onto the ship, looking extremely frightened...

 

Why did Dad make me do this? I just wanted to be in my room... I don't wanna be here...

 

Sorrow Melodies walked inside, looking about the ship, now beginning to shake like crazy. It was so big... And so many ponies... She wasn't going to last the entire trip at all...

"Alright, room 280 is mine... Oh, jeez." Violet mumbled to herself as she walked to her room. There was a large cluster of ponies in the middle of the hallway. "Um... excuse me..." Vi turned shy and tried to slip past, but ended up running into an orange mare's rear end. "Oh, Im so sorry! It's just so crowded, and, and... I'm sorry."

After Nightraxx had taken a stroll on the deck and wanted to start looking for his passenger cabin, when he bumped into a blonde-haired mare, who was wandering about on the deck. Nightraxx made sure the luggage didn't fall over while he started to apologize to the mare.

 

"My apologies, Ma'am." Nightraxx said while making sure she wasn't hurt. "It sure has become so crowded here, i was almost expecting to bump into someone sooner or later, carrying around this stuff. Are you hurt?"

This morning Airy woke up quite early - if you even could say he woke up from his sleepless sleep in the hotel room he had rent near Baltimare Harbor. He really could have been able to use the rest that should have come from that night before entering this cruise... But maybe the voyage from Flankfurt to Baltimare just had been too exhausting for him to find some rest?

 

Well, it didn't really matter. He had to have left the room before 10am, something that should not become a problem when he woke up four hours earlier. He switched off the alarm clock he had brought (just in case that he'd actually need it once) and took a shower. After all, such a ship was filled with fancy ponies, and he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself. The one he would get for his wheelchair was more than enough.

 

After he had packed all his things, cleaned up the room and left the key at the reception, he started walking towards the dock. Did he really want to be on that cruise? He hadn't even bought the ticket for himself, a... friend had given it to him because he thought that Airy could use some society for a while. Well, maybe he would find some inspiration for his compositions here. Maybe...

 

Just a few moments later he found himself in his room aboard the ship. It was a small room with a little window, a desk, a bed, a small bar... one of the usual rooms here. Obviously he would have to get used to it, as he would spend much of his time here until he was back. But he couldn't lock himself in here before at least having gone around the ship once.

Sunburst nearly fell over this time, barely managing to catch herself. She was carrying her luggage as well as Moonstruck's, after all. She chuckled. "Everyone's running into us today. We should probably get off the stairs. No worries." She trotted up to the 2nd floor and began to look around for her room. She would have stayed to talk to that Scamps pony, but she had started talking to whoever else had bumped into them, and Sunburst didn't feel obligated to stay and chat when the conversation shifted. She was going to dump their stuff in their room and go find her sister.

Firecracker got to his room soon after. There were a crowd of ponies that were trying to find their rooms, while on his way to room 256, he bumped into a unicorn mare with blonde hair and blue streaks on the deck, and an bright green pegasus mare, with another unicorn mare with a slight darker coat color than him on the same floor level as his room. He apologized to each pony he bumped into and went through. "I really need to stop bumping into mares... Well, it doesn't matter, I was polite with them so why am I thinking about this?" he thought. Finally, he was there. He unlocked the door to room 256 and put his luggage down.

Sparkey galloped towards the dock. This would be great. As long as he didn't do anything stupid like trying to shock the ocean, but then, even that wouldn't do much, because it was an ocean. He grinned as he reached the ship. It was amazing. Maybe he would be able to see a sea storm. He could learn about how lightning reacts in these conditions, and teach himself new spells based off of it. He reached the dock, and boarded the ship, handing the ticket over. He strolled into the ship. This would be great.
