I always figured it was just folks who simply had a more emotional investment in anthromorphic characters, though it seems like some have an almost 'spirit-self' belief to it as well. Its certainly alot older than the Brony fandom which is why some folks put so much effort into trying to keep them apart, even if they have to denounce the furries to do it.

 

Ponies do have fur so technically are, however most folks prefer to imagine they are still ponies as OC's or as one of the mane 6 and not as anthros so it also kind of isn't.

I do agree with you. And some bronies even cosplay as their OCs, and other ponies, which is anthro. They are depicting a type of furry when they do that as well.

I don't mind them. I feel like I'm somewhat a furry because of MLP. I am terrified of anthros though.

Furries are ok in my book. I don't see any reason to have something against them. Also being different is awesome :3

I don't like anthro ponies, those are not ones I fell in love with .... I feel like they were defiled with human traits

The furry fandom is pretty much like the Herd, they have haters, crazy obsessions and a shitload of r34, I've never realy met one, but they seem fine.

 

P.S. Original ponies are already a little anthro, not because they look humans, but because they act human.

Somewhat, and most of the bronies are also furries. I think that Bronies are a furry subtype of some sort.

The same way I feel about bronies. I think alot of them are great people and I often find art and drawings to squee at while fighting tooth and nail to avoid the porn area of the fandom.

Honestly there is a lot more porn in furry fandom. Like, if you search up furry anthro there are so many naked ponies.

Oh I am in no way debating that. I fully agree with that statement and at times it can be hard to find a safe for work pic but yeah I still feel the same way.

While not all bronies are furries, there is definitely a lot of overlap between the two fandoms. That said, furries are cool. Idk if I'd consider myself one, but I like a lot of their artwork and such. Hell, I even have a pair of fox ears that I like to wear sometimes.

I don't have any problems with furries at all. They may be part of a very rabid fandom that can get irritating, but so are bronies, so I have no right to complain. Also, I'd be lying if I said I didn't like some forms of furry artwork.

I heavily disagree with you saying straight up that 'technically' every Brony is also a Furry. I'd only say that a Brony is a Furry if the defining reason they watch the show is because the characters are ponies. If you watch something exclusively because it has anthropomorphic characters then yes, you probably are one, but not if it's one show. I don't consider myself one and If it was My Little Human I'd still watch it.

I didn't think Equestria Girls was a good movie, it was still okay but the actual MLP episodes are far better imo, dunno if that makes me a furry though Whether I am a furry or not, I don't mind and I don't mind people being furries as long as they are not mentally disturbing me like that one RD Picture....or Cakebandits lovely Octavia G3...
